She's the queen. Her fights are epic now --- since S2P2 every appearance is just a proof of how far she's come. Did I mention her fights are epic now? Like the animation just pops off. And she fights like a potential queen of the kingdom. Much like Subaru, she too is now at the center of her camp. I'm pretty sure although the Em camp is here mostly bcs of Subaru -- but Emilia now gives them solid reasons to stay.

I think you're right about the conveying part. Cause from season 2, didn't satella destroy everything after subaru had told echidna about return by death? Echidna obviously already knew about it but I think its only when subaru himself conveys it, then satella does something about it. Its just the only reason why she couldnt do anything when he told echidna the first time, was because she couldnt reach subaru in that place he and echidna were.

I think he read too many books from people he probably shouldnt have and started gained his memories as flugel back but the idea of two people who lived 2 different life times probably drove him into insanity and made his split his personality. when he switches he seems so fucking dead ass and scary i thought subaru was evil this whole time. it makes you wonder if this was the plan all along and subaru created watch tower to remember what he started

FYI IM ANIME ONLY. THIS IS JUST A THEORY I suppose from Subaru way of talking to Meilli that he is one of the Gluttony Sin Archbishops. Literally same intonation, same creepy smile, etc.... Subaru's memories and experiences are something out of this world. No one dies more than once except him. No one suffers like he does. No experiences death, feels death and embodies it except Subaru. And so that would make his memories like the most rare and delicious food for the Gluttony sin Archbishop. He stole Subaru memories, knows about RBD and trying to manipulate him to believe he should kill everyone to piece OG Subaru memories together. But he will still kill him and repeat that for eternity. The thing is every cycle is basically him tasting that food for the first time ever. Its like watching your fav show and every time you are done enjoying it, U just forget everything and watch it again.

Back in Season 1 I deliberately tried to copy Petelgeuse’s mannerisms during the scenes where he’s possessing Subaru (or fighting for control of his mind)… so if your theory turns out to be correct, then it’s really exciting to see someone say “I’m guessing it’s him because it sounded exactly like the way he would talk”, as that was my interpretation of what was happening as well. EDIT: Just realized you never mentioned whether it was sub or dub, so this might have been pointless, lmao! But either way, I’m glad folks are getting to eat good this season. watched it in sub. To be fair, I wasn’t comparing the voice as in the voice/cast itself. I was comparing the manner of the voice communicating a behaviour. When Subaru was posessed by Petelgeuse, it sounded like Subaru, cuz it was Subaru’s voice, but the manner Subaru’s voice was communicating his intent/behaviour was not remotely the same, letting the viewer INSTANTLY know, it was Petelgeuse. At the end of E8 and now again in E10, we can see Subaru & Rem talking/communicating their language in a completely insane manner. The insane laugh/grin, the sadistic ironic sentences they drop, the way their head moves around way more and theatrical instead of staying calm/relaxed as Rem&Subaru were usually….points all towards the manner/voice of Rui

I doubt the second part: Lye/Roy/Louis knowing about RbD is pretty much impossible, why: 1. The ability is not a power, it’s a curse from Satella. Since Satella is sealed and not dead, her witch factor didn’t fully get transported to Subaru, instead: A fraction of her power got sent to him. Why? 2. Because she loves him. And since she loves him, she wants him to live on, survive and inherit all the witch factors, so he can at the end destroy her. How did I get on this idea? Well, during Arc4, we saw the tea party moment, where not only she constantly proves her love throughout the series, but she proves that her curse RbD was gifted to him in a good intention, not to make him suffer but to make him live on for a special purpose. At the end of the final tea party she literally revealed that purpose: “And some day, you’re gonna have to come…and kill me”. How should one kill her? By overpowering her. Since I doubt that Reinhard could kill her (his powers are mostly physical, and not witch factor level), because witch factors like Sirius’s wrath and Regulus’s greed could corner him, the only thing beating another witch factor isn’t physical powers, but: Other witch factors. 3. Also the entire show so far points toward an adventure of Subaru collecting witch factors. He killed Petelgeuse and got his shadow hands and sloth factor. After that, he killed Regulus and was called to have two witch factors inside him. So what will most likely happen is him collecting all to kill the one who truly loves him: Satella. Now why do I think that Roys/Lye’s knowledge bout RbD is bs: Noone knows the power/authority rules of ones witch factor, except the wielder themselves or the past wielders of others who are now dead: See how the only ones knowing his power are: He, Echidna & Satella, because it’s basically a fraction of Satella’s power, so she can control who knows about it. The other candidates (like Roswaal in Arc4/S2) only knew he had a general ability of foreshadowing/prediction/prophecy. It is physically impossible to just assume someone had that ability, because you’d have to experience the victim die and reset time, thus your own memory, which would erase your knowledge to that past point again, or: You’d have to be directly told about the ability, which Satella would stop u from, because its her power and she can decide who knows bout it. —>Roy/Lye/Louis prolly only know that Subaru got a sht ton of memory & knowledge, but they don’t know why

I literally answered your “counter argument” in the 4th point Echidna knows cuz she dead and she a witch. Roswaal don’t know bout RbD, he only knows that Subaru got sum ability of foreshadowing/prediction/general reset. Sht ain’t the same as Return by Death. We know that Satella stops this from happening by conditioned/filtered influence of the unseen hand. If Subaru says “I died” in the manner of revealing his ability, she stops him, but when he said multiple times “I faced death/I died too often” “I travel time” in a manner of casual dialogue, she doesn’t interact with unseen hands, instead nothing happens. If he had said to Roswaal in this kinda manner “Man, I reset time and died so often that I forgot to count, yk? Everyday stuff, yk the drill” then nun would happen (my theory), but if he just tried to say “I came back from the dead” or just “I reset time” or “I died” to reveal his ability, he prolly would be instantly stopped by Satella

They might not have memories of his deaths because, from their perspective, he never died. When Subaru is reset, he returns to an earlier point in the world, and by the world's laws, it is as if those deaths never happened. This is reinforced whenever Satella intervenes when he tries to tell someone about Return by Death. Since revealing it violates the world's rules, she either freezes time and stops him or kills those involved. The only apparent exception is the other witches. Since Subaru was able to tell Echidna directly, it seems they exist outside the normal laws and causality of the world while in the Dream Castle. So my guess is that if Roy, Lye, or Louis were to eat Subaru's memories, they would only gain access to the memories of the currently existing Subaru. Memories tied to previous loops, which no longer exist within the world's causality, or otherworldly knowledge that lies outside those laws, presumably would not be carried over.

So from how I’ve seen it, there are two possibilities how to interprete this episodes secret references. My theories are: 1. The thing Shaula whispered to Subaru in the library most likely means, she knew what Subaru did, found the corpse and disposed it. I found it most logical, because she has no moral idea (being a scorpion) nor human law inside her, and is just guided by whatever her master (Subaru) tells her to do. She didn’t even bother a second with questioning why Subaru asked her to hide in a barrel and spy on his talk with Julius. She just did it without asking, so when seeing her master kill someone, she prolly just covered him by disposing her corpse. 2. The silent-sign from Ram: My idea is pretty vague, so I’m open for critique, but I think it just means that Ram hasn’t seen what he did to her directly, but she figured it out indirectly. She prolly noticed that at the time everyone left together in a group, only Shaula, Meili & Subaru were left behind, with Shaula only following orders, leaving two options: He defended himself, or he attacked in malicious intent. She knows Subaru isn’t “that kinda person” and she knows and experienced Meili being an assassin and having attacked the mansion with zero care for Petra & Rem. Her thought was prolly, that Meili attacked Subaru, and Subaru defended himself using Shaula’s help, OR Subaru wanted to get rid of Meili because he couldn’t trust her. Either ways, I think Ram was chill bout it cuz she knew and noticed Subaru didn’t “want” to murder her, but still killed her. Seeing then the sign he did to Patrasche through her animal-vision ability, she confirmed her own theory of him having killed her. She followed him, saw him being surprised and instantly knew: He did ts EDIT: I take back my theories up there. I got a new one: Okay I think I’ll take back my first theory, this would make maybe more sense considering Ram & Shaula in E10: During the archive scene Shaula whispered to Subaru “I know it/your secret”, whilst Ram did the “shush” sign & the “I saw it” that caused the huge debate in this comment section. Most takes in here assume they were both knowing about the murder, and tbh: I was sure that that was the main reason for their signs/whispers. ⁠What IF (just IF, correct me if I’m wrong, but hear me out pls): They were NEVER talking bout the murder, but instead talking about his first secret: Memory Loss. Look at it like this: Starting at E9, Subaru chose to not reveal his memory loss to Beatrice & Emilia when he said “Wait, I def had this conversation before”. When he walked away from them he said “I’ll keep it secret this time”. He literally called it his secret. He didn’t tell it to anyone. Now this secret is also a day older than the secret of the murder. How would they notice his secret memory loss? ⁠Because they were rational/uncapable of human emotions. See how Emilia’s & Beatrice’s reactions to seeing Subaru being so confused and weird in behaviour, were trying to care more for him and clinging to him more, instead of asking actually “What’s wrong” or even just asking themselves “Why does he behave like this?”. Emilia’s first reaction to Subaru leaving the room of the murder was emotional binding, literal love talk. In the archive both Beatrice & Emilia started the entire care-talk again. Their rational thinking of questioning his behaviour was too influenced by emotions, to even question it, so instead they tried to care more. Julius & Anastasia who could notice it, didn’t because they weren’t present most of the time of E9-10. ⁠The only one’s cold enough to not be influenced of emotions and thus capable of logically questioning his behaviour and analyzing his behaviour were: Ram & Shaula, who were also the same two who signed/told/showed him in a secret way that they know sum “secret”. Shaula being a scorpion and more loyal than emotional, whilst Ram generally being a cold thinking person towards Subaru, could both have the capability of noticing the following signs: ⁠He stopped being constantly loud and excusing himself; He stopped being clingy and cuddling Beatrice; He stopped running after Emilia & stopped the love talk to her; He even held his distance to both Beatrice & Emilia; He was literally caught multiple times within the two last episodes with the “wrinkly face”, the “you seem bothered” face, the “you alright” face. This had never happened before. Ram & Shaula could have noticed this and thought exactly this-: He behaves as if he doesn’t know them…

I was half kidding when I brought up ghosts last week. Yet here we have a ghost episode. Or I guess Meili is more like a perfect copy of her memories that just lives in Subaru's head now. Like Nail from DBZ Abridged. Absolutely curious if she sticks around after a reset. Do I want to know what Meili was asking for? Probably not. Ram is acting suspicious, but given whatever is pretending to be Natsuki Subaru isn't a great actor (at least to the audience), I think it's still her? Which raises the question of why she's basically in on the murder, or at least entertaining the idea of not telling everyone else.

What the actual fuck is happening? So the theory I made fun of last week, that there is an alternate Subaru switching back to murder meili, was kinda true??? I mean that's what the anime implied... And we get Capella????!!??? That was Capella right? She's the mother? This ep was so short. What's in store for next eps?? Also, screw Crunchyroll -- I read last week that it's "Murder Becomes a Habit" and after watching the ep, pretty sure that is what it should've been named.

so, before you think I’m spoilering: No this is a theory that I have built up throughout watching the series and considering multiple possibilities: I doubt that there’s an alter ego Subaru has, rather my theory is: It’s not him, but a gluttony archbishop. Roy or one of them. We know that there are two and only of one of them the abilities are 100% specifically named in Arc5, while the abilities of the other Gluttony Archbishop were not even remotely teasered. What are my reasons for thinking it’s that Gluttony Archbishop?: 1. Subaru looses his memory twice. There is only one entity in the entire Re0 world we know with abilities to take memories away 2. I’ve compared the voice that appeared behind Subaru in Ep8 and killed him to every other member of the group that was present: There isn’t one with a fitting comparing voice. The only character in the ENTIRE series with an equivalent voice-height/line/sound like the one that decapitated Subaru in E8, was Roy (Gluttony) and his brother. 3. The behaviour, posture and sadistic smiles that Subaru shows in the “killer moments” in e10 only appear in four other characters we know: Petelgeuse, Sirius, Roy & Lye. But both Petelgeuse & Sirius are dead, so the only one with these sadistic smiles and postures remaining are: Lye & Roy 4. I found it confusing that there is only one sin (gluttony) with two archbishops: Roy & Lye, so I asked Google what the names of the gluttony archbishops in re:0 anime were, and the answer was not Roy & Lye, but: Roy, Lye AND Rui/Louis. There’s an entirely new third gluttony archbishop Louis/Rye whos abilities we don’t know. No problem

"I'm gonna have the best time ever!!!" -Natsuki Subaru Well Subaru continues having the worst time ever, even developing child murdering tendency now. Meili in his head is certainly not helping that. The way the book of the dead was shown was spectacular and does leave little to no room of imagination as to who she really is, turning Meili into all sorts of creatures to ... mindbreak her more? Well Subaru is certainly going to have a grand ol time if he wants to take out Ram now...

I have a bad feeling that with the strong focus on Meilee’s backstory and just how long this loop has lasted that this loop with Meilees murder might end up being set in stone… Just a feeling I'm getting, but this loop feels so important and with how trigger happy Satella has been with respawn points, it just feels like something that's likely to happen... And could you imagine how much that would psychologically mess with Subaru even more? This is a Subaru that hasn't learned to value his own life, what if tries to kill himself to escape being confronted by Ram, and instead he respawns just right in front of her again. Also gotta love how Elsa is still making appearances even though its been two season since she's last been relevant. Wonder what excuse they'll come up with to show her again in Season 5

There is no WAY I have to wait a week after that. I thought last week's was bad for the wait but holy. When I saw the thumbnail Crunchyroll had for the episode, I did not think what it actually was in the episode. Im loving this season's direction and overall plot. Ram probably using clairvoyance to see through Patrasche's eyes was so clever. If this Subaru thinks he can just kill Ram, hes got another thing coming. I cant wait for an explanation on whoever that was talking to Meili after Subaru went through the books. So sad to see that the Subaru we have rn thinks the "old" Subaru everyone loves so much is the same guy who's talking incredibly inconsiderately and murdering Meili. Gosh the "Natsuki Subaru Murder Mystery" got me by the neck hard. Also I think Shaula definitely hid or destroyed that body. She somehow knows anything that goes on in the tower and is just serving her master. I need the next epjsode N O W
