I get the feeling I understand how Purson's mom got his father. The dude seems to have no resistance against the power of yapping. Not that Purson was wrong. Also Poro and Kalego both having their Tsundere moments. Poro with not wanting to give 6 points and Kalego not being able to just praise them normally. These two would make a terrifying pair. Good thing Poro is apparently not interested in Kalego. While the episode was fun, I must say that I was a bit disappointed that the big celebration was mostly the abnormal class itself. I don't mind a moment for themselves, but I would have loved a few more celebrations with the rest of the school. I am heavily starved on egg-Sullyvan moments for example. Well, at least Eiko got her pictures.

The true winner of the Music Festival!

He's really rising in the ranks both at school and in the Demon World. but I love the Purson yapping crashout. He'd been waiting to do that to this dad all season and it was so emotionally cathartic. Mom was proud (and got to comfort her man too so it's a double win for her).

I mean obviously the others contributed, particularly Kerori, but it was Iruma who inspired the Hell Dance by wanting everyone to work in coordination. It was Iruma who got Purson to agree to play with them. It was Iruma who calmed everyone’s worries about whether he’d turn up or not. And while it was Purson’s mother who gave him with nudge he needed, it was Iruma who inspired him to be truly ambitious and aim for both of his goals rather than choosing one.

I love after the performance when the Misfits all got with their friends outside of each other. Agares and Gaap with their girls, Eiko taking pictures of Iruma… it’s just a great moment Iruma’s rank 5 now! And at such a young, after starting at Rank 1 no less! And it’s quite fun how Rank 5 “He” also works for all their gasps of surprise! With the Royal One earned and Purson officially part of the class, the Misfits are now the Thirteen Crowns of Babylus! I love this show so much, man. It’s just one of those where halfway through I realise I’m giving the biggest smile!

Love the little flashback scene between Amduscias and Derkila at the start of the episode. Anyway, this is totally unrelated, but have we seen Ali this season? Amduscias would probably freak out if he heard Ali's voice. Yep, I had a feeling Amduscias would give them a 1 out of spite, but I'm glad he came to his senses and gave them a 6. I do think it's funny how Amduscias just absolutely hates how Iruma reminds him of Derkila. So one of the judges was actually Kerori's boss? I wonder who Kerori suggested she should recruit. The obvious choice would definitely be Elizabetta. I wouldn't be surprised if she also suggested Clara. I was hoping to see some Iruma and Amero scenes this episode, but I guess she's still recovering from the performance. Meanwhile, we have Eiko already taking as many pictures as she can of Iruma . 😆 Glad to see everyone getting their Dalet badges, especially Elizabetta and Purson! Although I didn't expect Amduscias to advance Iruma to Rank He. I guess, despite how he feels about Iruma, Amduscias expects great things from him. Just when I thought Kalego was praising them , he immediately turns it into him bragging how he did a good job. But I guess what he did to Purson and Iruma counts as a headpat . I love how happy they were from that. 😆 Yaaaay! Purson finally told his dad how he really feels! I thought we were gonna get a part 2 and deal with Purson's dad, but it's nice to see this issue finally wrapped up, too. That episode preview, tho. So, uh, Kiriwo is back. I guess we're gonna see the Six Fingers again? Did he sneak into Babyls? O_O

On the one hand, Iruma wasn’t dancing, on the other hand he’s already had experience… Although I didn't expect Amduscias to advance Iruma to Rank He. I guess, despite how he feels about Iruma, Amduscias expects great things from him. Poro-chan actually does like Iruma! Sullivan himself pointed it out. He just finds it very frustrating that he likes Iruma despite not wanting to. Especially with how he reminds him of Delkira, despite not looking like him. Just when I thought Kalego was praising them , he immediately turns it into him bragging how he did a good job. Kalego will NEVER let the Misfits know how proud he is of them. He’ll happily brag about them to others, but he’s too petty to let them know. Maybe one tap of their heads with a riding crop.

Ali is in the OP in the background during an Iruma scene but I think that's about it. But wow, the gay romance vibes between Amduscias and Derkila in that sequence was through the roof. I almost wish for Amduscias sake that they actually hooked up at some point. What a tsundere. Gives them a one, praises everybody, critiques Iruma, but then comes around and acknowledges how awesome they were anyways. There was no way a top tier Demdol producer would not know Kerori is Kuromu. I feel like Elizabetta might be too mature and sexy for a Demdol and Clara as a Gremlin idol sounds too good to pass up. Poor Ameri undone by Iruma being so sexy she can't bear to face him to maintain what little composure she has left. But Eiko got everything she wanted out of this festival. And Kalego even did his familiar duty to remind Iruma of what he can expect as He! That's a good Familiar, Kalego! Ganbare Purson, be your greedy, absolute, demonic self! So I guess the Six Fingers being in the OP wasn't just to remind you they exist. I almost half-forget this anime has bad guys sometimes because of the cozy, fun, vibes.

Amduscias's rating and review felt like something out of a MAL review. Where they will list more positives than negatives. But have 1 line of negativity and then rate it a 1/10. Thankfully he was just being tsundere lol. Then promoting Iruma to へ to add on top of that, lmao. I loved to see Purson standing up to his father. He won't let him dictate his life. He is going to fulfill his role in the family but also be with his friends while following his passion for music. It is great to see. Great finish for this arc. Best arc for this show so far.

Kalego really couldn't just praise the class lol, him praising himself in the end was too funny. The way he praised Purson and Iruma was already amusing, but their joy made it funnier.  I'm glad Purson has finally been able to say what was on his mind to his father, I wish we got to see his father's face since he's apparently very handsome. I wasn't expecting him to have such long hair, it reminded me of Derkila.  Amduscias is so extra giving them a one initially, just to alter it to a 6 later lol.  I wonder if Kerori recommended Sabnock to her company president.

Not necessarily, look at last season for example. The Barbatos family bloodline ability is related to bows, be it a once per day sure hit like Robin, or as many as you can like Bachiko. Yet despite being a bloodline ability, Iruma learned how to use a bow. But unlike Bachiko who has it in her veins and can summon the bow out of nothing with just mana, while Iruma must transform a feather into a bow. Purson mom case is similar, likely either a relic/artifact lets her use a similar invisibility magic or she learned a spell and is just so used to it after years being married to Soi's dad that it feels natural to her. But Purson (eventually) and his dad's invisibility is likely much stronger and more refined than anything his mom will ever be able to do.

The reason was because creating a powerful bow, arrow, aiming and picturing the perfect shot requires a lot of concentration, which is something demons are very VERY bad at, which is why no one else was able to learn from Bachiko until Iruma. But that's not unique to Iruma, while he can't conjure a bow, Lied's bloodline "Controler" also requires lots of concentration which is why he was trained under Robin.

I have taken it any demon can use any ability if they train hard enough. Just most demons are self-centered and impatient so they just stick with what they know. They have said many times Netherworld magic is based on giving shape to your imagination and desires. I think Bloodline Abilities are just a family having a natural aptitude or genetic advantage toward certain things. Kinda how Asmodeus mastered incantationless fire magic easily when it is said to be difficult.

A very nice ending to the music festival with everyone advancing and getting to keep the royal one. This just leaves one big question: Why was class E's score hidden? The obvious first assumption would have been to have it be revealed that they somehow have a higher score. Yet the Misfits got a perfect score and did win. So why hide class E? Has to be somehow important otherwise they would have just written a random number like. So it's gotta be either very high or very low. Very low doesn't make too much sense since as far as we know only the Misfit's NEEDED to rank up here, everyone else would have liked to but could wait for other opportunities and idk how it could become plot relevant, have the misfits help them maybe? (also they mentioned all classes score highly) So my guess is that instead they had a superhigh score, 17 for example, and were sure they had it in the bag before being "robbed" by the misfit class. Leading one or more of them to harbor a grudge.

Nice catch. Robin-sensei commented on how great Class D was before the Misfit Class performed, which made me think that Class E did not do particularly well and may have forfeited. However this may have been a misdirect, and I have no idea why Class E's score was hidden. We are waiting for this season's Six Fingers conspiracy to be revealed. Maybe it somehow has something to do with the Class E performance....

Now that I know it’s not a one-off double casting, I’m still shook from last week’s revelation. Poro, stop 👏🏾hitting 👏🏾on 👏🏾students👏🏾 I was not an SoiRuma/IruSo/PurUma shipper, but Poro makes a convincing case. Purson is better than me. I threw hands when someone wanted to use my instrument with no sanitation or anything. It’s worse when I’m playing reed instruments and someone wants to use my bari sax—same reed, mouthpiece, and all. Hell the fuck no🤢 Awww Purson ☺️ Ooooh so there was a backhanded reason for Poro’s rank to Iruma Yesssssss Purson go on with your bad self 🙌🏾 WAIT! Daddy Purson looks like that? Oh bitch that changes everything. That is a long-haired brat, I can be more forgiving now. Pull his hair for me, mama. Boku Brothers. Strong. Kirio??? Excuse me??? I’m so happy ☺️ A great ending to a great arc until that little episode preview showing Kirio is returning for some toxic yaoi 😭 I’m still banking on Brother Purson isn’t as far away as we think he is. I’m surprised we didn’t see him in this arc with an introduction and everything. For all Poro’s devotion to h the e previous king, I’m surprised he wouldn’t look at or feel something from Iruma’s ring too by the end of this arg. It was so fucking nice to see Soi stand up for himself to his father. I hope his dad comes around, but until then, stand on business, Soi 👏🏾💃🏿 Kalego’s “praise” being headtaps by his riding crop, good lords. I wanna see him attempt that with Opera or Balam.

LMAO it’s a song about Sullivan? I noticed this last week, but what happened to Class E? WHAT. So then why did you give them a 1? Damn… Oh, he turned it into a 6. Aw, Ameri. That is, um, intense . Success!!! Ooooooh, Iruma went up a rank too! Ah, so Ameri ended up sending her congratulations over text. YESSSSSSS? Of course Kalego loops his praise back to saying it was thanks to him haha. Hahahahahaha Hah, his mom is just there . Dammit… Ooooooh, he’s snapping. That’s neat. Oh! Purson is a fellow Boku Bro!

Once upon a time Poro-chan and Demon Lord Derkila were as tight-knit as could be, romantically composing music and playing it together, the only thing that could separate Poro-chan from his beloved Derkila was his desire to see music all around the realm. But he never stopped loving Derkila with all his heart. And they could also commiserate over complaining over Sullivan. The Misfit Class knocked it out of the park! Brava! Standing ovation! But what really matters is the judging! Dang it Robin, you had to dare Poro-chan by suggesting the class get a 6-6-6 score to the point where Poro-chan just HAD to give 'em a 1! But even though Purson, Elizabetta, the dance team all killed it in his eyes...Iruma's lack of experience with the piano and lack of sexiness brought the whole thing down. And yet his dual performance with Purson, the sheer fun and joy Iruma injected into it, reminded Amduscias so much of his time with Derkila...that he can't help but turn it around and give them top score! THEY DID IT! (Also, again...I'm so sorry Class E) Everyone is congratulating the Misfit Class as they deserve! Mei Mei is scouting Purson, who is now publicly known as Pixie, Kyupa is proud of her top talent Kuromu and wants to know who she should be scouting (Elizabetta?), Ameri is too hot and bothered to go see Iruma, and Eiko gets ALL the pics she could want of him! What better way to receive an award for a musical than with the true height of demonic music, as displayed by Poro-chan-sama? A magical, mystical, showstopping showcase that ends with EVERYONE now a Dalet! And Iruma, as befitting his leader status, becoming the only He (Rank 5)! That's one way to assure them they've got the Royal One now. Now it's time for the celebration party! Complete with showing how much popular the Misfit Class is...especially with the ladies. Clara and Azz doing everything in their power to make sure Iruma isn't alone with Ameri. And they even managed to make Kalego praise them...and himself, but honestly that's as close as they're going to get. Iruma is a He now and that comes with a lot of responsibilities. Kalego is a good familiar to keep Iruma reminded of that fact. Oh hey, Purson's mom (whose got it going on!). You can tell how she married into this family since she was there the whole time and nobody noticed. But she comes bringing word from Purson's father, and even if he's willing to acknowledge his sons' successes...he still wants to bring him out of school. But that's just the perfect excuse for Purson to deliver the Purson special and unload on his dad for being out-of-touch and how Purson will be the one to have it all: Fame AND leadership of the clan! Don't worry though, Purson's dad has got Purson's mom! What better way to bring this arc full circle and close it out with a bang is one last performance by Pixie, now known as Purson, along with the Misfit Class? The possible next generation of Thirteen Crowns! Sukima! The Boku Boys! We love 'em! Next week: The return of Amy!?

Derkila and Poro-chan really did use the Royal One as their private love nest/Sullivan-mocking space, lol. Well deserved, Misfit Class, even if you had to pull it out of Poro-chan (and sorry, you just don't rate at all, Class E). What is this quivering Ameri-like blob creature? The river was a very nice touch in handing out the promotions, and seems like it lit a fire in Purson. The escalating He?'s got a good laugh out of me too. More fun afterparty antics, and none of them are getting out of it... unless they neeed to talk to their dad. Should've guessed that Purson would unleash an absolute barrage back at him after being told to try bottling that experience back up. That whole Kalego scene, lol. Just casually establishing the Boku Trio in the Su-Ki-Ma. A nice victory lap episode all around, and I know it was deservedly Purson-focused, but it would've been nice to see a little more direct acknowledgement of Elizabetta's efforts beyond Poro-chan's praise at the start.

Disclaimer: I've read the manga. I was pretty harsh on the performance last week, but it's definitely grown on me, especially seeing how much effort they put into get everything right. Also the climax has been stuck in my head all week. Let's just hope they didn't burn so much budget that the rest of this season is a slideshow, we've got seventeen more episodes to go! Meanwhile, in Poro's imagination... Actually they probably really did use to have these rooftop jam sessions, that does sound like something Derkila would do. It is very funny that Sullivan used to be the responsible one. Notice how Poro, who is already a giant, is still small compared to Derkila. Derkila was huge . And back to the present day. We still can't see what Class E scored for some reason. Meimei and Kyupa both giving perfect sixes, no surprise there, it was an amazing performance and they don't have bones to pick. Really this all comes down to what Poro will give them. Remember that the Hell Dance is supposed to be nearly impossible. Demons are intensely individualistic, synchronized dance routines are totally beyond them. Even in a whole group of professional evidols, only Keroli and one other girl were able to pull it off. It's an incredibly impressive achievement for the Misfits. So, what's it going to be, Poro? He's going to be an ass, that's what it's going to be. "Are you serious?" "I am." He is not. This is a lot of praise from someone who is allegedly giving the lowest possible score. Like, he has zero criticism for most of them and thought they were stellar, he was much harsher on classes he gave lower scores to. "You're not sexy enough to be a musician!" Future Demon King Iruma strikes again! ...yeah, Poro wasn't really give them a one, he was just being dramatic. A perfect 666! So, yeah, it doesn't matter what Class E got, I still don't know why they never showed us their score. Uh-oh, Keroli, your boss is onto you. Hm, I wonder who she's recommending? Ameri's not going to be much use this episode. You have to wonder how poor Eiko is doing. Oh, she's taking photos. Sullivan utterly defeated. Poro you can't just carry people around. Wait, if the trumpet is Purson's lover then does that make this NTR? Okay guys I see what you're going for but come on, you could have added some sound to the sound demon. Promotions for everybody! Even Iruma! "Juice." Japanese media and underage drinking. Camui just doesn't want his friends to leave him, that's surely it. lol, kalego Extremely rare Kalego headpats. This is going to break poor Soi. Dumb teenagers doing dumb teenager things, extremely wholesome. Azz you look a lot like your mom, too. Oh, right, we still need to resolve this subplot. Credit where it's due, even if he's still being stubborn, Purson's dad was willing to admit right off the bat that he hasn't handled this well. He's maybe not quite as much of a hardass as he lets on. Iruma's demonic virtues are rubbing off on his future spymaster. Purson's going to be a master musician and a master spy. Good job, Mama Purson. Meanwhile, back at the party... And we get an exact reversal of Purson's proper introduction. Oh, hey, how many Misfits are there again? Thirteen, huh? Isn't that a number of some significance in this world? This surely isn't foreshadowing anything! And that's a wrap on the Music Festival! This was never my favorite arc, but it is a lot of people's, and it's in my top five. Purson is a fantastic character and his subplot in this arc is extremely satisfying - we've seen both extremely good parents and extremely bad parents in this series, so it's nice to also have characters like Papa Purson, a good man who loves his son but is bad at being a parent. If I have one complaint about the Music Festival, it's that I wish Elizabetta got more development. She's tied with Allocer as the most underdeveloped Misfit, IMO, and while she got a chance to show off and display some incredible talent and charisma this arc, we didn't really learn anything new about her. Sukima! That's right, Purson is the third Boku Bro! Good luck, with that one, dubbers, you're gonna need it.

I'm a bit surprised they solved the Dalet rank problem for the whole class with just the Music Festival, particularly since it was a multi-rank jump for some of them. Figures that Poro-chan was going to be all dramatic for his score. It was nice seeing Agares still having his fans from the Harvest Festival, he's even exchanged phone contact info with at least some of them. Good job Kalego, brilliant instructional work leading your class this far. Fox lady must be Keroli's idol agency boss? They called each other Kuromu and President after all. Fun first arc for the season.

Loved Kalego this ep. The Misfits were all begging him for praise but honestly he already rewarded them by supervising their party quietly in his chair and just letting them have as much fun as they want for as long as they want (except for Lied's attempt to poison him obviously). It was nice of him to praise them (sort of) and he didn't even grumble about patting Iruma and Soi on the head. He was soft as a marshmallow this episode. Good thing Balam and Opera weren't there to tease him.

They NEED rank 4 to graduate from Babyl. (But if I remember correctly, it's the school with the highest graduating rank. So there's probably still adult demons witha lower rank than thank, just to be clear.) And it's a full 6 years of study, They ALL did it in 1 year. And Iruma is breezing past it. So basically, for EVERYONE, that whole class is now considered geniuses. Note that single demons passing the minimum is not unheard of though, as Ameri is rank 6, and she's *only* in second grade... but she IS called a genius a couple times. So yeah. Iruma is actually either reducing the gap, or following in her track. Depends on when she got her 6th rank, but it have yet to be mentioned in the anime.

TBF, for the first year? We already know the answer from previous episodes: That was the last opportunity to rank up this year. Hence why they had to push Elizabetta and Purson so hard. For the other years? Like I said, there's students ranked higher than them, so they will probably continue ranking up across the remaining 5 years. At least, that's what would be expected of them. There could also be possibilities of them (or some of them) getting demoted at some point, forcing them to try to get it back, etc. (Yeah, I know it was rhetorical, but there was actually a good answer to give I think, so eh. 😛 )
