The class cameraderie of all 13 is incredible. The Misfit Class is genuinely one of the best parts of this series. They really hit the sweet spot between some anime classes that have varied characters with no cameraderie and other classes with a lot of cameraderie but it's hard to tell them apart from another. I'd be beating a dead horse bringing up the obvious comparison for the former, but for the latter I think of Assassination Classroom where the class as a unit works together but I can tell you the names of maybe 5 of them at a stretch. Meanwhile here I can name every Misfit and they all have amazing synergy with each other, never getting left behind. Iruma really has been ahead of the game with Ameri huh. We should have known when they went to Aqua Case together. A swimsuit episode? Irumeri was leagues ahead of the competition back in season 2!

I feel like pretty much every student in AssClass got the spotlight at least once but the primary focus was only a select few so often versus spreading the focus out enough to where they would all remain in focus. Though I guess AssClass' pacing and style for its plot arcs was also kinda different.

Irumas evil cycle is my favorite arc because it’s the first one where you really get to see each member of the misfits class contribute in some way to the plan ultimately working. And because each member contributed in their own way, it makes it so much more satisfying at the end when the misfit class finally gets their props from the rest of the school. Because you feel like they really earned it, and you really buy evil Iruma wanting to get his fellow demons the recognition they deserve

I don't think most of them got the spotlight, but even if they did that's not enough. They need to actually stand out. I had completely forgotten one of the students who had an entire episode dedicated to them until the last episode's credits showing where they all were however many years later because despite that episode, they just did not stand out among the vast majority of the class for the rest of the series. Meanwhile, not every Misfit has had episodes dedicated to them – some have had to share that honour with others – yet I remember them all because they're all unique and stand out from each other. Very much helped by their designs, but also by their powers, skillsets and especially their personalities. And, let's be honest, because the classroom's allowed to be half the size of other anime classrooms.

When Pixie's music was playing while everyone was asking Iruma if they're his best friends, I was thinking how funny it would be if Purson was actually playing it. AND THEN HE ACTUALLY WAS! He's SUCH a good addition to the cast! One of the top members immediately! I can't believe Iruma finally got exposed for the PERVERTED, GUILTY SEDUCER that he is! He has four whole girls he gets along with! And did you see the time he went on a date with Ameri to Aqua Case? They were wearing swimsuits and everything! TO THE GALLOWS WITH HIM!

So we all agree that the reason Azz said Iruma was guilty was because he wanted to get the love letter right? Azz is only into Iruma being a playboy when he's flirting with him! Otherwise, I really enjoyed the goofiness of the episode. Azz making friends out to be this blood contract thing and Clara not even objecting to it just shows that while they claim the other is dumb, they both still share the same brain cell when it comes to Iruma. I love how he must have told her about the "Best Friend" thing and Clara just rolled with it so they could sit everyone down and give this spiel about it to validate their bond with Iruma.

The Misfit Class is in their most popular phase! But loving is more valuable than to be loved sometimes! I love how Dosanko's gal posse are just looking at her waxing poetic about a past romantic experience like they're too used to her going on tangents about this. Wow, Azz and Clara are straight up dragging the entire Misfit Class into their "friend to best friend" obsession. Next thing you know they're imagining friendship is some hardcore contract that involves swearing their life away to Iruma (complete with Iruma in cosplay). Then they have to rationalize it in a way that makes sense for them while piling on poor Iruma. Thank goodness Iruma was able to set the record straight while also making the Misfit Class realize that they've been friends all along. But then Purson has the mic drop line as to whether they're all actually "best friends" and the Best Friend Guard isn't about to let anyone else have that honor! (Also Kalego's not his friend, but his Familiar! Simple, right?) Man, Garp and Agares REALLY get along well with the Class B girls, to the point of getting invited by them to a Devi-mixer. Is Haruno straight up flirting with Garp? Feels like it. No wonder Lead is jealous and has to call a meeting of the boys together to get advice on how to flirt with his beloved Nee-san Elizabetta. But it's easier said than done when Elizabetta is pretty much the most popular, sociable, and best girl in the whole school. Lead can imagine going on an entire romance anime length relationship development with her, but actually asking her out on a date is near impossible. Yeah, Iruma kind of jumped a head a bit with Ameri what with their first date being at a water park with swimsuits and how he's already met her dad. Demon Court is now in session! Lead is going to convict everyone who got too chummy and close with Elizabetta during the Music Festival! Admittedly Purson doesn't really help his case, but I love how Iruma is judged guilty by being a possible Harem protagonist. The "love letter" is too decisive evidence to judge otherwise! Turns out all Lead needed was Clara to wingwoman and help set him up with Elizabetta, complete with her exchanging Maine ID's with him! Now if only he didn't lose sleep trying to figure out what kind of message to send her...but what better reason to hold another meetin? Su-su-su-su-ki-ma-ma-ma! Enter the Dosanko zone! Filled with her love and pleasure! Next week: We finally get the return of Ameri! Her in a dress! Ballroom dancing! Romance!

It’s gonna be some stupid stuff, I’m sure. Yeah, something stupid alright. lol Ah, Keroli. Pot, meet kettle. Oh lol Purson was actually playing the trumpet there. Ah, Dosanko. Suuuuuuuure you didn’t, Purson. I mean… he’s got a point. Ah, reminding me of my favorite episode of the show so far. Can we get more Ameri screentime pls? Interesting. Oh no, is Lead so jealous he entered his evil cycle? Pfffffffffffffff Nice one, Clara. Yeah that’s about what I was expecting.

This season has always given me so many great things that I want to talk about each episode! Firstly, Azz-Azz's ridiculous explanation as to what friends and best friends are. Clara just going with the flow was great, but the trauma he caused to the others was hilarious. They thought for a while that he had forced them into a contract of servitude, and yet still ended up throwing up in the air in excitement. When given an actual explanation, they realize it was mundane and a simple matter of fact, only for Purson to appear and cause a ruckus on his own. He's such a shit stirrer! He was even there to mess with Lead! lol Lead just outed his crush to everyone, then immediately had a delusion that quickly went to marriage. The guys actually taking the discussion seriously after a while was great. The warning about going shopping with a woman was pretty real. Then we have Iruma who already went out on an advanced level date without realizing it. Then we have a gentleman's method of wooing a lady. Handsome upper class guys really are different. Then we somehow ended up in court, of which Agares seemed very proud of making. In the end, Clara was an amazing wing-woman netting him to the exchange of numbers, instantly breaking a pact of his own making, which then led to its own new problem. Side note, their phones mentioned "Friend Added". I wonder what they thought about that this whole time. Such an amazing season so far. I might not be able to handle a deficit of this series and have to pick up the manga.

Disclaimer: I've read the manga. Key visual and PV for the second cour are out, I am excited. I wonder if we'll get a new OP for the second cour. It's something they haven't done in previous seasons, but this one is really Music Festival-specific. The Misfits' fame is spreading far and wide! Dosanko sharing her wisdom. Virtuous, noble, majestic. These are words that don't describe the Misfits at all. Azz has an... interesting understanding of friendship. Iruma looks very cool in Azz's imagination. Iruma is a good boy. Look at how flowery he is. I think they might have the wrong idea. Okay, record set straight. Uh-oh. Yeah, Kalego's not really the friend type. Subtitles misspelling Gaap's name. Garp is a One Piece character, guys. Oh, man, Purson asking the big questions. Hahahaha the music is diegetic he's actually playing the trumpet he knows what he did More Iruma-tossing. I was not expecting more details on Dosanko's love life. You feeling alright there, Lied? I understand what MAINE is supposed to be but it's still funny how it comes out in English. Lied's Purson-dar is extremely finely tuned. Gasp asking more big questions. I have thoughts about Lied's feelings for Elizabetta but I'm not sure they're appropriate to bring up yet. Oh no. Iruma's put his foot in it now. "Am I lewd?" The animation quality is really good this episode. Uh... Lied? Agares actually making a courtroom is great. Oh my god uncensored handholding . Guilty! Death penalty! Iruma-kun is not a harem series. But Iruma might kind of have a harem anyway. Even Azz is against him here, and he's in the harem! Poor Elizabetta. She doesn't want to be unattainable! Great Hero Clara to the rescue! (Lied will not leave this room alive) Baby steps, Lied. Baby steps. Sukima! ALL GLORY TO DOSANKO I have no comments on the next episode preview.
