Honestly I'm curious what he would say about the girls if he was willing to out them. Elizabetta leaves behind fashion magazines? Keroli obviously thinking he knows who she really is. Ameri is peak gap moe. She's efficient and composed running the student council, but she's a horny Shojo-obsessed teenage girl when thinking about Iruma. I will say, hammy and ego-centric as he is, he knows how to sing a song. To beat Ameri/Saori Hayami in a music festival is no easy feat.

Oh, Purson's got ALL the dirt on the Misfits! Though he'll only disclose all the boy's secrets, so the girls have nothing to fear from him. I LOVE that the Misfits got a taste of completing impossible trials and are now down for more! They revel in restrictions, so Purson's wish for no-one to know he's involved just gets them all the more excited! It's such a stark contrast from their stories of suffering at the start of the Harvest Festival! And the fact that they're all for one as a team makes it even better! THE RETURN OF... what was his name again? Roronoazoro? Rororoyourboat? Rorogadgetrover? If only I could remember somehow... preferably through a diegetic song... Whatever his name is, unsurprisingly he was the winner of the previous year's Music Festival and, more surprisingly, he was the first demon to have ever defeated Ameri! Iruma's desire for his class all to work as a team may have doomed the whole class, though, as Kerori brings up an impossibility in the demon world... THE HELL DANCE. Something only she attempted to do with a team of 6 and only one other demon didn't collapse from it. AND THE MISFITS ARE GOING TO DO IT WITH 13!

Whatever his name is, unsurprisingly he was the winner of the previous year's Music Festival and, more surprisingly, he was the first demon to have ever defeated Ameri! I want to see what Ameri did for the Music Festival now. We see her in a dress with braided hair in the OP so we might get a flashback? Iruma's desire for his class all to work as a team may have doomed the whole class, though, as Kerori brings up an impossibility in the demon world... THE HELL DANCE. Something only she attempted to do with a team of 6 and only one other demon didn't collapse from it. AND THE MISFITS ARE GOING TO DO IT WITH 13! Honestly now I want to know what happened with Kurumo and the failed Dem-Dolls and the blonde who was the only one who could keep up with her.

It's definitely not Iruma in disguise. Iruma helped her out with one of her idol shows, but what they did was not synchronised and definitely not what they were referring to here. Keep in mind that it requires heavy, torturous training for demons to synchronise for this performance and basically any idol performance between two demons done on the fly is going to be lightyears from what the Hell Dance is supposed to be.

I forgot how campy, flamboyant and extra Ronove is but this was a very good reminder, the amount of production he gets for his appearance both visually and audially is crazy work lol. It's nice to hear Suzuki Tatsuhisa again.  It's funny how doing a group choreography is the most difficult thing to do for demons, I'm looking forward to their performance. Keroli is definitely going to be spartan with them.  Purson's observation skills taking down each of the guys of the class was amusing, they're going to have to be careful not get on his bad side lol.

Winter Uniform Ameri I see Soi has been using his stealth skills to snoop on his classmates. And it looks like the only ones he doesn't really spy on are the girls of the class. The boys might wanna consider behaving around him since he knows ALL. 😆 As much as I love Ronove, maybe asking him to interview the first years might be a mistake considering the chaos he's causing. But so far, it looks like this is all according Ameri's keikkaku. Speaking of Ameri, it's always fun to see what's going on in her head , especially when it involves Iruma. This girl is definitely gonna freak out when she sees what, no matter what Iruma does on stage for their performance. Ronove actually giving sound advice that it scares them was pretty funny. This is Ronove's specialty, so if anyone's an authority on charming an audience, it would be him. I just love how demons are so naturally chaotic that making them perform in sync with other demons is considered torture. It looks like Kerori is gonna be in charge of whipping the class into shape to perform.

Winter Uniform Ameri Good lord Ameri's always so beautiful. I see Soi has been using his stealth skills to snoop on his classmates. I wouldn't say he snoops as much as he just watches but doens't partake in conversations and so is able to catch stuff because no-one notices him. So... snooping, but not entirely on purpose. And it looks like the only ones he doesn't really spy on are the girls of the class. I highly doubt he doesn't, he just won't share/admit to it 'cause he's a teenage boy who wants girls to like him. I just love how demons are so naturally chaotic that making them perform in sync with other demons is considered torture. It is actually a really interesting reason why we've never seen an idol group in this world. We've seen a few solo idols, but never a group and now we know why. It just clashes too much with how demons work. But god damn, I love that the Misfit Class has had a taste of the satisfaction that comes from being put through hell for impossible tasks and coming out victorious and are now fired up to do more! In stark contrast to when they shared horror stories of their training for the Harvest Festival, they're now ready to go through absolute torture that professional idols can't withstand to pull off a win! And I love that it was Iruma's desire to work together as a team that got this going! Obviously it was Kerori's idea, but it was because Iruma wanted that sort of thing. He's the leader of the Misfits and it's his desires to be with them as friends and as a team that pushes them so far!

It is actually a really interesting reason why we've never seen an idol group in this world. We've seen a few solo idols, but never a group and now we know why. It just clashes too much with how demons work. Kind of makes me want to see a Kuromu prequel series about her rise as a Dem-Doll and how she had to basically rise from the ashes of probably the last attempt at forming a Dem-Doll group, possibly with girls she genuinely bonded with even if they couldn't pull off the Hell Dance.

Winter Uniform Ameri Somehow covering up more skin with skintight fabric makes her more attractive, as if that was even possible for someone who is always so drop-dead gorgeous. Speaking of Ameri, it's always fun to see what's going on in her head , especially when it involves Iruma. This girl is definitely gonna freak out when she sees what, no matter what Iruma does on stage for their performance. I love Ameri transforming herself Shojo style after Shojo Iruma uppercutted her. Also just a reminder of how unhinged First Love Memories could get. I don't think she'll be able to control herself when she sees Iruma in a suit during the performance.

You know Iruma is back when the narrator is dramatically regaling us with the plot of this arc. Iruma knows how to make a dramatic reveal even more dramatic! Let's have Purson reveal himself as Pixie late at night amidst cherry blossoms! Absolutely perfect! Iruma even helps interpret and make sure Purson is comfortable. Now the Misfit Class can truly interact with Purson, and listen to him complain about all their less than stellar behavior. Lead can't stop bringing porn or staring at Elizabetta! Allocer has been trying to hook up with girls! Sabro just sleeps in the Royal One! Iruma has the munchies in class! Poor Keroli looked like she was terrified she was going to get outted as Kuromu, but Purson respects the ladies' privacy like a good boy! And even after all that, Purson still has to tell them that he only intends to play his trumpet and not stand out or appear at all in the Music Festival...meaning they have to workaround and help promote a student who might as well not even be there outside his music. But Purson underestimated his class...because the Misfit Class LOVE a challenge. Nothing brings a class together like running away when they get busted by a teacher. It helps that they can fly! You didn't think we were going to wait long for Ameri screentime, did you? She's teaming-up Ronove and Natash...I mean, Naphula to help check on all the freshman classes AND she's salivating over what Iruma is going to do for the Music Festival. No matter what he does, she'll be turned on, but if he can hit her, love song Shojo style, like Rin did Kakeru in a Bonus Manga, all the better! Ronove just going from class to class hijacking all their prep and making it kind of about him and his tastes...though he definitely stands out. He can even bring together rock and classical in their shared hate for him! But it's nice to see some old faces! Eiko! Orobas! Dosanko who wants a piece of Ronove. Classic Ameri! She knew exactly what Ronove would do but she knows that Ronove, having been the only person to ever beat her at something in the music festival, is the perfect person to motivate the first years. Even if that also means the student council has to bear with all the complaints. Things are not going well for the Misfit Class. They can't come up with something that brings them all together properly, Azz thinks everyone can dodge fire like Iruma can (Sabro just stands there because...Sabro), and Keroli is taking this maybe a little too hardcore as a performer. But who would have thought Ronove could bring them together with some actually sensible words? Iruma wants them to all do this together and there's a forbidden Dem-Doll technique that can actually accomplish that: The Hell Dance! Something that basically relies on an idol group but is near impossible with how difficult it is for demons to coordinate/work together! Only Kuromu and one other Dem-Doll were able to pull it off! Can the Misfit Class do it? You bet they'll try! Su-ki-ma! So I take it Rin punching Kakeru ii becoming their kink, huh?

It kills me how despite the flood of complaints, the montage of Ronove borderline terrorizing every class he visits with his flamboyant "advice" (i.e. chucking most of their original ideas in the trash) kinda ended up being a net positive. Kinda wild how the First Love Memories leads might actually have the capacity to bring some demons (other than diehard shoujo fans like Ameri) to their knees if the feats in the Sukima were taken literally.

So if we exclude Purson (at least he hopes he gets excluded) from Hell Dance, that would make 12 people dancing. Exactly double as many as the usual 6. So is this a double hell dance? Or a hell hell dance? Anyway, Ronove was definitely a character once more. Even Nafra started to be into all his shenanigans, playing instruments for him or dropping the roses. So it could just be cold even in the demon realm.

This second episode was even funnier than the premiere. Purson revealing all the guys' secrets was a hilarious moment 😆 Although Ameri's part was just as good ! She even imagined herself in manga style , which totally cracked me up, just like Iruma stylized to look like Elvis Presley . Ronove made me laugh out loud, especially when he changed clothes three times while hearing the Misfits ' suggestions for their performance at the Music Festival. Disclaimer: I am up to date on the manga, but will avoid referencing it. Purson's showing up in focus in the intro now. I forget, was there any group dancing in OP 3? I mean, it makes sense for this one, this is the Music Festival, but it's still an oddly consistent thing across the Iruma-kun OPs. "It's night time, in a kitchen high school just like yours..." I was about to ask why they had flower viewing if there were no cherry trees before, but oh Iruma suggested it. And it was a trap! He wanted to properly introduce the other Misfits to Purson. Poor Purson. Iruma is a good translator. Purson is fucking savage . Allocer actually has the most game in the entire class. "Because we're brethren" wait is he talking about Eiko? Purson's kind of a jerk, but he's no peeping Tom. Well, those conditions are going to make it hard to get him promoted. Nishi draws such great faces, man. Also, remember how back in the Royal One arc they were all lazy and unmotivated? Irumean really lit a fire under them. Wait how are they going to get off the roof Oh right they can fly Ameri! And Ronove! And Naphula! I'm impressed Ronove can do that with his hips. Ameri is good at this. Also wow Ameri's winter uniform looks great. What the fuck is going on in First Love Memories Well, it's, uh, unorthodox, but he did work some actual practical advice in there. Don't interrupt the yuri, Ronove. I guess he did need to work his song into this arc somehow. I'm not sure that was very helpful. Unsurprisingly, Ronove actually won last year's Music Festival. That does track with his skill set. Tally ro! Iruma what the hell did you do Azz is your suggestion Iruma Oh wow he actually did suggest something else. Nevermind it's Iruma-inspired. Uh-oh. Someone pressed Kerori's evidol button. I think this might be a problem. Once again - good, practical advice from Ronove. This is an artistic event. You need to put actual effort in, not just do what focus groups well. I mean "sometime together with everyone" is kind of a requirement for a class presentation, isn't it? Kerori has an idea! Oh, yeah, Kerori is important to this arc. Big surprise there. And another "demons are neurodivergent by human standards" moment. Demons are, of course, fiercely individualistic. Synchronized dancing is not something that comes naturally to them. Only Kerori and one other evidol were able to do it. ...oopsie, almost let your secret out there Hannah Demontana. Purson what are you complaining about you don't have to do it Damn those are some nice costumes. Sukima! This does not seem like a healthy relationship. Demon of the Week: Ronove In demonology, Ronove is a Marquis and Great Earl of Hell, commanding nineteen[1]legions of demons. He teaches art, rhetoric, languages, and gives good and loyal servants the favour of friends and foes. He is depicted as a monster holding a staff, without detailing his appearance. He is also described as taker of old souls; often coming to earth to harvest souls of decrepit humans and animals near death. It is also spelled Ronové, Ronwe and Ronoweh. Not much of a connection this time, sadly.

That's a neat new view of the tree, I don't believe we've ever seen quite so much up close detail on the damage it did to the top of the tower it's sticking out of. Purson has all of the secrets, but he is fortunately also a gentleman. I wonder if he knows about Iruma being human and Keroli being Kuromu. Allocer going to a mixer with Furcas-sensei's daughter is a fun detail, I don't think we've heard of her before and it's interesting that he's spending time with more than just that instructor but her family as well. Ro-No-ve is a funny on screen text gag. Ronove being rank 5 is a new reveal too, I think. Surprisingly good advice from him, but he is a performer. So, a big group dance performance it is. As always, what the hell is going on in First Love Memories.

Sorry Purson, we're literally trying to make it about you this season but Ameri's sending the freight train known as Ronove through the tower while stealing some fine moments for herself today. The cherry blossom slaughter was beautiful, but did Iruma get a lift out or has he gotten a grip on the magic Sullivan taught him after Walter Park? Seriously, so much Ronove, my god (favorite: his background parade incarnation also responding in tandem with his foreground actual). Ameri looking great in her winter uniform, and just melting thinking about what Iruma will be doing before fully shoujoing herself ( love the detail in Hatsukoi that Rin's using homemade boxing gloves, perfect). Purson, you may have been observing everyone this whole time, but you clearly haven't been paying attention. These are the Misfits and they love a good challenge. Azz, how does your plan even remotely connect to music? (note Clara and Elizabetta enjoying the carnage from the sidelines). The Hell Dance, iterating on earlier issues with demons and concentrated effort in general by exponentially raising the stakes by demanding they do so in sync with other demons. Keroli knows from experience, but she's eager to inflict it on her classmates all the same.

He's not shown holding onto them, but he is behind both of them and it's pretty clear knowing their friendship how that went down. Purson, you may have been observing everyone this whole time, but you clearly haven't been paying attention. These are the Misfits and they love a good challenge. In fairness, this is a pretty recent development for them. Compare their reactions now to the start of last season when they were told they had to all reach Rank 4 by the end of the year. They were all HORRIFIED. And then they were sharing horror stories of all the training they were undergoing. I'd say it was breaking through in the Harvest Festival that gave them the taste of satisfaction that comes with succeeding in such difficult tasks and the belief that they really could do anything together as the Misfits.
