They skipped the part where Roderick borrowed the book studying materials huh. How do they plan to adapt his name-swearing when adapting Part 4 then? I suppose they will need to show some backstory scenes when that happens, like the medical examination scene. ED shows the castle forest, I assume. A place that Rozemyne with her weak constitution famously frequented.

Yes I was referring to the scene where Roderick tried his best to come up with the story on the spot. IMO it is quite consequential, as this is arguably the start of his road to authorship: he realised RM would rewrite his messy impromptu story so well, inspiring him to start practicing writing . But yeah, a little bit of scene shuffling when they adapt Part 4 should do the job here.

Just a minor nitpick. Was it just me or shouldn't the knights have been using black weapons? The only one indicating that a black blessing was used was with the dark flame at the paw of the Lord of Winter.

P4V7 Black weapons are highly regulated because of how dangerous they are. Dutchies without darkness feythings aren't even allowed to know what the spell is. Dutchies who are allowed to know the spell are only allowed to use it on darkness feythings or risk punishment from the Zent. Rozemyne and many of the Ehrenfest higher ups were nearly killed when Rozemyne gave the darkness blessing to the aprentice knights during the Ternisbefallen incident because the Sovereignty thought that she was taught and then used that restricted spell.

Its explained later in the royal academy arc but its basically taboo to use black weapons and very few places are allowed to learn it. It becomes an extremely big deal later

Let's consider episode 13. New opening/ending. The fight against the lord of wonter, I'm not really a fan of the 3D cloud but otherwise, it is good. The sellling of books, nothing special outside of an adorable Philine. I would have loved a small interaction with Roderick. Angelica and the Comittee, I love this part.

What’s with the opening and RM, Charlotte and Wilfred outside in what clearly isn’t winter? I know that opening sequences don’t necessarily reflect events that are going to happen, but if they’re not making major changes that’s impossible before we enter part 4. Slightly sad they didn’t include the teacher bonuses for Raise Angelica’s Grades Squad, I was wondering if they were going to be in the chibi scene. Damuel and Cornelius don’t have any ongoing plot implications beyond showing they also needed motivation but Brigitte’s dress I’m really hoping hasn’t been cut, just because I want to see the pretty!

Was disappointed in the Lord of Winter fight. The knights honestly looked disorganized with the way they drew it. Was disappointed we didn’t get to see Roderick making up his story, but I can understand with how much they shoved in this episode. Angelica’s parents were much calmer than how I imagined them when reading the light novel. But so nice to see them. And I think that’s the first time I’ve personally seen their names (assuming they were revealed in a fan book or something)
