Don't think it was her step-mother. Philine has a PoV in one of the fanbooks/side story collections. I think she might be Philine's aunt. She first assumed Rozemyne to be an archnoble. Her aunt corrected her by saying that Rozemyne is the adopted daughter of the archduke and Philine need to avoid them to not gain their ire. Which explains why in the manga Philine was so scared of Rozemyne during their first encounter. She was afraid to make a blunder and simultaneously confused about why Rozemyne was smiling at her.

I literally paused the video when Jonsara came on screen to call her a b*tch. A few more choice words too like: second wife who doesn't even have the family name talking like that to the daughter of the family head. Dirty little thief. Barely more than a concubine. What makes you think your son is worth a tool from the main house when you just married the husband and not the actual head of the house

Good adaptation and pacing this episode. The start of rozemyne terrorising people by blessings and fainting. Also the pause when Ferdinand lifts roz up and all the nobles look confused what to do lol. Looks like we got extra scenes with Wilfred retainers, the siblings talk which are supposed to be much later. Is that the first look on philine's stepmom and joisontok. I do not remember seeing their illustration before. So many other characters first look in anime, definitely hoping to see other retailers next episode.

Loved this episode. Was so excited to see certain people animated and kept looking for every hint to future parts of the series. Was happy to see Rauffen mentioned, really helps fill out the world a little. I squealed in delight at Philine talking to Rozemyne. And did not expect Linhardt to look like that. Don’t remember him ever getting an official illustration so I always imagined him like Linhardt from Fire Emblem 😂

I'm so happy we get to see the other kids Rozemyne's age. It's also so interesting to see the various shades of red. I also don't remember the exact specifics of how the eight of them were positioned in the waiting room, so only seeing half of them at a table and the other half of them on a shared bench was interesting. AHHHH, PHILINE SPEAKS! SO CUTE! I don't know why I'm surprised to have a Jonsara face reveal when Philine plays her harspiel, but I am, hahahaha. I'm genuinely so surprised we hear both Wilfried and Rozemyne singing, hahahahaha. THAT'S WHAT LINHARDT LOOKS LIKE?? Thorsten looks as I expected but Linhardt?! Hartmut finally makes a voiced debut! It still annoys me that Hartmut was given a name tag back during Rozemyne's baptism when he introduces himself eleven episodes later. I found it so unnecessary. I wonder if any of these background children designs took inspiration from the designs in the manga. I'm not seeing any so far. Angelica, please remain as you are. You're the best as always. Man, this episode is making me wish we had more from the Linkberg brothers in general. Though did Cornelius always refer to Eckhart as "nii-sama" instead of "ani-ue?" He refers to Lamprecht as "ani-ue" though. So that's what Giebe Joisontak looks like. I'm genuinely so pleased the winter debut and subsequent chapters were adapted so well. They're some of my favorite chapters.

The surprise wasn't that it can be done, but that she did do it. The reaction by, I wanna say, Cornelius was to question whether she was told to do this, not how she did it. A normal kid wouldn't do this during their debut (because they don't have the mana to make a spectacle like that). What's ultimately the problem is that Rozemyne is apparently the only one who's at risk of accidentally shooting off blessings by calling the names of the gods, when everyone else has to make a conscious effort for it.

Segun entiendo no he leido los Fanbook, el mana es muy susceptiblea la voluntad del usuario, de hecho la herramienta que obtienen en la academia el schtape, tambien se le llama voluntad divina, la voluntad, la percepción y la imaginación tienen mucha influencia con las formas que logra adoptar el schtape, la magia y las bendiciones, por eso Rozemyne crea algunas formas y hechizos locos desde el punto de vista de los demas nobles, dado que es una reencarnada su sentido es distinto al de ello que al considerar que algo es imposible, ya no existe forma de que se pueda, como ejemplo cuando ella rompe la piedra de bestia alta
