From the beginning until the end - this episode really cemented, what it means to be a magia vander to me. The scale of all the spells used here were insane compared to everything else we've seen so far. I'm also really happy to see Elfie show a ton of backbone here to prove she isn't just a damsel in distress. Not only declaring her love for everyone here to see, she's more than willing to fight for it. Even if it's against someone nobody else would be willing to fight against. I think she is my favourite character.

I think it makes sense and I agree that the show is getting better with her being more active. Damsels aren#t really that fun as characters, because they are static. This is, though, why they work really well as set-up. A former damsel developing is great. And, granted, she never truly was one, but she still had little agency in the story. Her being more present makes her more of a fully fleshed out person and Will's goals and feelings become much more grounded. She isn't just some far-off goal, but a human with her own feelings and goals and traits. That gives the store more...hm...substance. I think this makes it overall much better. I also like when different characters can carry the role of the protagonist for a while.

All that rapid-fire spellcasting...exuding so much magic aura...unleashing pure unbridled magic from themselves...AND THE SUMMONS. I'm also really happy to see Elfie show a ton of backbone here to prove she isn't just a damsel in distress. Not only declaring her love for everyone here to see, she's more than willing to fight for it. Even if it's against someone nobody else would be willing to fight against. You can genuinely tell how much she's been holding herself back and basically sitting through being a Magia Vander depressed and unmotivated until she finally has a chance to fight for Will, and that's when she finally goes all out.

Really? Seeing Elfaria in serious combat, and the fighting in general, was cool, but when it comes to Elfaria as a person, this episode just cemented my previous opinions. Elfaria sees Will as an item that belongs to her, not as a person. It’s one thing to be possessive, but it’s another thing to completely disregard another person’s thoughts and feelings in favor of her own, with the ice prison being incriminating evidence. Even though it was probably half-meant for comedic effect, it’s not like this show has non-canon one-off gags like a slapstick comedy. In my opinion, it comes off as a dehumanizing way to view a romantic partner, and Will really doesn’t need to be dehumanized any further. For the sake of keeping the story moving and keeping Will away from her (for now), I hope Zeo wins. I know that the story is inevitably moving toward them ending up together. However, I don’t want that to happen until they can be considered equals . As it stands right now, it just feels like Will is suffering from deep-seated Stockholm syndrome stemming from their childhood, and will end up as Elfaria’s plaything if they are reunited. I want him to eventually have his own agency and a path of his own in the tower. I don’t want him to simply be her “bride”. Working under Zeo, who is also against the mages’ supremacist values, would be a good checkpoint toward that goal. When they showed us the flashbacks of Zeo confronting Aaron and talking about the "worth" system with Cariott, he won me over even more than he already had. He was also way too cool during this fight for me not to support him. I also want to clarify that I am not clowning on anyone for liking Elfaria. Maybe there are aspects that make her actions and thought process justifiable to you. I am simply sharing why I don’t agree at the moment.

I love how graceful Elfie was the entire time, I believe she was graceful because it was all going to plan, I'm not sure if you guys noticed but She had the fight all planned out so far ahead of everything. Like she said, she started off the fight that way so she could get her mana to halfway to use her Ultimate Barrier, that means she created the castle, the clones to take her place, and the ENTIRE fight she was leading the bull by the horns (literally... ) That's a dangerous game but she was there to play. I missed it but caught it on second watch but HER BARRIER WAS STILL UP AFTER SHE ACTIVATED IT, At one point lighting is headed directly for her face, She doesn't even flinch as HER ICE MAGIC FREEZES A LITERAL LIGHTING BOLT BEFORE IT CAN STRIKE HER. Even while using her "Ult" she still has that ultimate GOJO LIKE DEFENSE up. Insane.

I wonder even if Will is actually just oblivious. Dude already is hard dialed in to a single girl, he simply has no space for anyone else. The author did something similar with DanMachi, in the end Bell was fully aware of the affection Syr had for him, he'd just been ignoring it until it basically blew up in his face. And then basically the whole of season 5 was about the importance of rejecting someone you don't love back
