I have an idea to fill the quota." Also on that note, we have an arc with short hair Kinosaki. Good to see. Still not able to swindle a polar bear it seems. So there is room to improve. But I guess it was a cat girl in disguise so we can forgive that. Arashiyama got a win as well, she was finally able to be the lap pillow to Gero. I do wonder how they will do combining their two powers. I mean, we know the hamsters are good spies. So them taking the poison could be working. Speaking of which, it would actually be a really strong combination. Imagine a potential kid with the ability to command poison hamsters. And hey, even Piichi got a win. He is now part of the ending. Even if only very shortly. That took me by surprise. And next week, water master seems to return as well. All that is left would be Himekawa with a shark rescue squad at the end or Shiori coming to get them with the family helicopters. Lastly, I really like how dumb the show can be and still work narratively. Birdsball, Birdspear which is actually a forced mixture that kills its host. The author can come up with any ridiculous setup I feel.

It's because Gero isn't f*cked in the head like the rest of the greater "Master" community. Remember back to the Insect Bro's wedding? When they first met, elder Insect Bro was shitting himself raw with how obsequious he was being towards the Main Family. He even went so far as to call Insect Bro "a useless bug" that Gero could exploit as he saw fit. Gero refused, saying people aren't tools, essentially. So, while I'm sure the Poison Clan's branch families would happily assemble under Gero if he asked for their help, he doesn't want to get them killed on a personal quest. He's too nice a guy for that.

True, I’m just surprised there is so little we see of the poison clan so far. Yup, Geros a nice guy, but he is also about to be the head of a hugely influential family with a reputation to uphold. I’m surprised no one from the poison family have at least said “hey man, you taking on these cheap ass bodyguard roles is embarrassing to the family, you need to have some standards” or something. Like if no other character ever said he was a big deal, it’d be hard to tell from the anime that he’s a big deal in the assassin community with tons of power and family connection. Like doesn’t he have any responsibilities related to running the clan or anything? Hopefully the story will delve more into his responsibilities as a poison master soon

The best explanation I can have for this, is that OFC the family head has to know. If even other clans are aware of Gero's side-gig, it's impossible his own family isn't. Not with how closely they are seen to control their kids. I can only presume that Gero was fully honest that his side-gig is a marriage hunting excuse. As such, the head of the family tolerates this behavior as it fulfills an even more important goal: grandkids. And not just bastards, but 'proper' heirs from a 'proper' wife 'properly' married into the family. I put all that in quotes, because they were prepared to forcibly marry, and impregnate, his lesbian sister. They are very traditional, so surrogates and kids out of wedlock are clearly not 'proper,' but the rest of that atrocity is... Because of 'face.' What matters isn't what sins you commit, but what facade you can show to the outside world. This is a huge component of Eastern/collectivist cultures that place higher value on clan standing (face) than individual needs. And if no one outside the family knows the full story of how brutally the sister was treated, can't prove it, or lacks the courage to say something so scandalous to such a 'proper' family... It doesn't matter. Because appearances, and the traditions that back up that prestige, is all that matters. And while having their heir moonlighting as a bargain bodyguard would raise suspicion and possible lower face... it's seen as the lesser evil to having no heir or a bastard heir.

I'm guessing prior to trying to save kunosaki they were an elite assassin. Hence everywhere he went he was known to be the poison master. But also i think Gero suffers from overexposure where the other heads are cooler/have a mythical status due to them being unreachable while Gero is just a dude. He isn't enforcing hierarchy, he isn't making them into sadistic killing machines, he's not using them for his own personal gain, so Gero has become normal to us while Toshiro acts a bored billionaire. If toshiro was as exposed he would probably have been shown off farming fish roe and conducting experiments, not too unlike arashiyama.

That's assuming they actually know this freak is collecting blood for his gene-stealing plan. He only told Gero because it really doesn't matter at that point. Gero will either be killed before he can reveal what's going on or kill Dogo in turn. But either way, Dogo won't have to worry about the consequences (of his plan leaking). If "the clans" as a whole were against this, they'd send more than a single upstart mercenary.

I felt bad for the birdmaster. He wasn't an evil guy deep down just forced to work for his clan. He cared for his teammates and just wanted to fulfill his real dream of showing americans that Birdsball was the best sport in the world. Poor guy. Also I know it was just dramatization but I would like to imagine he was using his Domain Expansion in that moment to create a baseball stadium. Pichii watching a youtube tutorial on how to cut a squid before killing it was hilarious. Also to simp for Kinosaki real quick: Office Lady Kinosaki was *chef's kiss*. Seeing all his jobs he has learned to seduce rich men makes me want to create other fake jobs/skills Kinosaki has. Maybe someone in this sub is Kinosaki learning reddit lingo to impress some rich tech CEO obsessed with Reddit.

Is there anything Kinosaki CAN'T do? I mean, you never know what special skill might be useful in seducing someone! And it's a perfect excuse for a cosplay showcase for Kinosaki. Arashiyama puts on a brave face to try to dissuade Gero from fighting for her, she doesn't want him to put himself at risk for HER problem, but Gero won't let her do this alone! And Piichi just wants to take down the Beast Clan, so it's a win-win for everybody! It shows how serious it is that Kinosaki's not wearing a wig and they know they can't drag him into this...too bad the giant squid has other ideas. Good thing Piichi has a handy how-to guide on how to properly fillet some squid! Not how to handle squid explosives, however. Beast Master Toshiro Dogo is following the happenings on the island from his secret base and chomping at the bit to watch and use Gero for his own ends. He also has an attractive maid with animal ears and an underboob named Byakko, and I'm so jealous! Hanezawa, the Bird Master and most passionate advocate for Birdsball which is basically baseball...but with birds! He's fast, hammy, and his team has never been stronger ever since he replaced the crane member with an eagle! Though facing off against a Poison Master is more difficult than he bargained for when Gero will use a diversionary tactic to...throw a normal punch. Watch out Kinosaki, it's MARTIAL ARTS BEAR! It's so cool, but also out for blood! Literally! Just when you think Hanezawa is out, it's time for the second inning! Because Dogo has been mixing Animal and Weapon bloods to create...the Bird-Spear Master! You'll never look at birds again when you see them formed into a spear weapon. But the thing about fighting a poison master...you can't touch them without expecting to get poisoned, as Hanezawa's team can attest. Aaaaaaand you're out! Martial Arts Bear is fearsome, but Piichi can easily take care of it...but it was never about beating him, it was about getting his blood via leech. Because Martial Arts Bear? Was actually a buck-naked Byakko in a bear suit! Also, she has a VERY nice butt! RIP Hanezawa. Birdsball may never become a thing, but hopefully you ascended to the big bird stadium in the sky! But now they know that the only way to save Arashiyama is to take down Dogo! Sirius Squad Assemble! Push Gero into Arashiyama's supple thighs so he can relax to a fabulous lap pillow! It's all she can offer, especially when she feels so useless as a Master...but Gero acknowledges her, and knows that together they can win this and take down the Beast Clan.

While it was cool to learn that Mei has a ton of qualifications that he uses for marriage swindling, I love that we finally get to see what he looks like in his masculine form. If he did dress up as a man, he'd end up stealing all of Gero's dates as he said back in Episode 1. 😆 Piichi looking up a YouTube tutorial on how to prepare squid while fighting a giant one was pretty damn funny! He'd have an endless supply of squid if he took those cubes back home for his cafe. The Bird Master was pretty damn entertaining. The dude just won't shut the fuck up! And what the fuck is Birdsball? Dude out here inventing new sports that a Bird Master like him can probably only do. 😆 So we finally get to meet the head of the Beast Master Clan , and it looks like he has an insane plan to create new kinds of Masters by combining their blood. And now he wants Gero's blood because it stops any kind of rejection to complete his experiments. Now that he also has Piichi's blood , it looks like he's about to make himself stronger. That final scene between Gero and Kimie was adorable. Kimie finally got to give Gero a lap pillow after being jealous of Mei last episode!

Short hair, long hair, Kinosaki is always a stunner. Piichi is just a simple guy who can follow how-to videos to a T and also always relates everything back to his and his girlfriends' future cafe. I genuinely want to know the rules and regulations for Birdsball. Just the idea that a crane just up and left only to be replaced by an eagle just kills me lol. At this point it feels like giving Gero a lap pillow is a must for all his love interests.

I'm realizing rn the way I worded the post especially my final point makes it seem like im mad about we seeing Kinosaki not dressed as a woman which I am definetly not. I agree with you about wanting to see him as a guy more. I wanted him to wear a tux and go with short hair to the bug masters wedding and was a bit disappointed that he didn't and im happy to see him like this today. I was just calling out a couple of comments with the whole questioning kinosaki's gender due to him always dressing like a woman which I really dislike. The final comment was meant to call out these people saying he never is dressed as a he so it's like here there you go it happened.

Kinosaki is still having boobs equipped this episode. My guess is that Kinosaki is going dressed as a girl when with Gero simply because his job is to find a marriage partner for Gero. If they instead we're to fall in love with him then he'd just be a hindrance to his job. Kinosaki is after all a master of charm and seduction, but above all he's a professional and always dresses for the job at hand

Tbf he’s still wearing a breast form which to me makes him look more girl than hair length or clothing... We got IT engineer Kinosaki and drone operator Kinosaki, so it’s alright. Like Kinosaki is guy for plot purposes and it comes enough to remind us he is one. But visually his design is looks like a female character most of the time. Which is probably intentional given he’s supposed to be good at passing as a woman.

he must have some sort of power/master thing going on as well. I don't think so tbh. It's implied that Kinosaki and his brother grew up in the human zoo ran by the poison clan as 2 young boys that look like Kinosaki were shown in the flashback about the Zoo. O doubt there were any masters in there, just regular people. If I were a betting man I'd bet that Kinosakis brothers illness has to do with poison clan experiments in said zoo, and Kinosaki had to fend for himself and his sick brother from a young age and learned a lot of skills the hard way

One thing this anime has been absolutely crushing is creativity in character design. My jaw already dropped when I saw the water master producing speech water bubbles as a way to give her expression despite being stuck in a suit with no face clarity. And that trend of desining incredibly fun characters has not stopped. Like, birdsball? Wtf, I love it! Or Arashiyama always having hamsters close by memeing her emotions. Or the entire concept that is Kinosaki. Or building a violin with your own hair as strings (only to throw it away instantly). I could go on forever. I am positively hyped to see what quirks the true beast master has up his sleeve. This anime really swung big and never missed so far. I hope it keeps going.

I’d like to meet a Hair Master, a Leather Master, Rope Master, Games Master, Clothes Master, and a Dungeon Master if they are available in this series. This can have great results. I might have missed why Knockoff Mewtwo was in that container. But this next master is another freak. And he has beast-lady maids. And black nail polish. And a flexible tongue, good for him. A boating license, used as a tool for romance? Kinosaki took romantic advice from [title] Kaguya-Sama! Be still, my beating heart! WHY they wouldn't let her leave is an interesting question! Her 'power' is kinda useless, she doesn't really want to kill, and they don't even let her take part in the clan's decisions... I think I know where this is going! (Though these tentacles are a little big!) Ok this time it's an opponent, but this show is such a gold mine for Bridal Carry, Piggybackride and all that! We even got a lap pillow in this one! (I guess I've watch too many ecchi, I kept expecting her to lean forward and trap him between boobs&thighs) But to be honest, somehow this felt like the lewdest scene of the episode! Is he the catgirl master? I'll know what answer to give when someone asks me "Where I see myself in 5 years"! Dogo? Doggo? Oh damn did did I give her the wrong species? From someone who talked about not marrying Hamster-chan to preserve his bloodline... Won't that dilute it, as well? Oh. I guess he doesn't care about ALL bloodlines! Does he want to taste the blood of the guy who poisoned a massive army of birds by letting them bite him a little? Bold strategy, let's see if it pays off! It's a bit early into the relationship to talk about bondage like that, but sure! I think we need to send her to collect more samples... For science and stuff. Taste her thighs? ITADAKIMASU!

Mixing of blood to create a new Assassin Master hybrid, this would surely upset the balance of power between the Five Great Families. While Bird Master (RIP) died because his body ultimately rejected the Spear Master's blood, it seems Beast Master is intending to apply the blood mixing technique on some Frankenstein-like monster as the new host (perhaps human-beast hybrids?), as well as use Gero's toxin-resistant blood to reduce chances for the host rejecting the mixed blood to create the ultimate warrior. Looks like we're entering Frankenstein/Dr Moreau territory here.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I found bird brain a bit one note. The fact all the characters in this show are quirky can be fun, but sometimes they take it a bit too far in the single trait direction and the longer they are on the screen the older it gets. Luckily Hamster Master is fantastic and Piichii is hysterical. Looking up how to prepare squid had me giggling. Meanwhile Kinosaki is secretly the seduction master with a ton of random skills to make it work. Water master coming back is interesting. Sadly Himakawa can't afford to come back because Beast Master would take control of her beloved shark. Still, about time some of the earlier ladies started making second appearances after their arc is over. Hoping both Himekawa and Ureshino make an appearance again before the season ends.

Random thoughts If the frame with the subtitle "TASTE MY THIGHS" doesn't end up on the weekend karma ranking, I am going to be sad Poor Bird-dude. I wonder if his birds are going to get revenge...we did see them hauled off What's more ridiculous...a polar bear performing martial arts on the beach, or the fact that it was actually a nude catgirl pretending to be a polar bear? Speaking of catgirl, even if the boss has to go down, can we keep her around? Looking forward to see Water Master rejoin the fray, as an ally (presumably). So was she lured to the island? sent by the other families? Could other masters be showing up? Anyway I have been speculating they might be eventually using Water Master as a potential marriage prospect, so I figured they would be on the same side

Birdsball would be an absolutely ridiculous sport. I would also totally watch it lol. It’s a damn shame the loudmouth goof got stuck with the wrong side. That blood pervert’s gonna have to pay. I love how he even had an extensive sports backstory where a Crane player left the team and he had to replace them with an eagle. Where's my Birdsball prequel spinoff!? I really like Arashiyama and her adorable hamster army. Here’s hoping she makes it out of this whole mess okay. I love the Sirius Squad all standing at attention to protect her while she was unconscious. I also like how Arashiyama is so loveable even the birds flocked to her.

I thought Gero was going to find a way to save Hanazawa, but I guess this was out of his hands. Maybe if he was a woman lol, but in all seriousness, it's a bit vague how much control Hanazawa seemed to have with his own actions. One thing was clear, he just wanted to play birdsball.  The mixing of master's bloods feels like something that is appearing too soon in the story when we haven't particularly met many masters yet. I feel like the impact would be stronger if it was done down the line, unless we'll be seeing a lot more multi-masters from now on.  Piichi casually cutting up that squid by following an instructions video was amusing.  Beast Master is wild though, pun intended. Why does he keep making horny faces lol? The way he was fingering that egg surveillance or whatever it was too was so suggestive. I wonder how high he's going to get when coming face to face with Gero lol.

I think right now, it only makes sense for the Beast clan to try and mix blood since evolution is from nature, but I'd expect the other families to follow suit as well. I'm guessing he might be a descendent of fish to keep playing with the fish roe surveillance. But who knows, he's also controlling bats so he could be a vampire type. So far, he just seems like someone who gets pleasure from seeing his plans go off

That poor squid. I'm glad the birds survived, best boy Gero was even treating their poisoning before they were all birdnapped. Kinosaki being a certified expert at everything is a compelling argument for him to be the winning girl, but Arashiyama is quite great too. I love how she was posing with the birds when Gero was treating them. All that said, the catmaid has my interest too though presumably not as a Gero marriage candidate.

Come on, man. Gero is the Poison Master, one of the five families that reign supreme. Yet he keeps getting his ass handed to him by some branch family no name. Yeah, he beat him, just took the whole episode and him getting wounded ahead of the main event. Pyrrhic victory. Meanwhile, Piichi which they introduced as being on par with a Master just naturally gets wounded by a random bomb, like we didn't see him take zero damage from a punch that threw him all the way across a building and over the previous episode. This is all so Mr. Bad Guy can get their blood to enact his plan. Dumbing down characters to make the plot happen is major BS.

Piichi appeared at the end of the ED. I guess Shizuku's showing up next week to help Hikaru. RIP to Kota. Someday I hope his dream will come true. Fighting Kota is a nightmare for ornithophobes like me. Kimie finally got Hikaru to use her lap as a pillow. We finally get to see Mei in guy clothes when he listed his qualifications. I just realized Mei ditched the wig. Piichi reading the instructions on how to cut up squid & doing it effortlessly is funny.
