I have the same reasoning. That and combined with the fact that it seems like Kinosaki and her brother grew up unknowingly in the human zoo that was run by the poison clan (a young boy who looks exactly like Kinosaki with a younger brother was briefly seen in one of the rooms) it means that a potential relationship between Kinosaki and Gero has a hell of a lot of plot tied up in it. In a narrative sense their route makes the most sense. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that Kinosakis brother's illness stems from experiments by the poison clan. The fact as well that Geros sister is also gay, which kicked off this whole plot can be seen as an indicator as well. I'm convinced that the final act of this story is Gero, Kinosaki and all the new friends he has made throughout the story teaming up to take out the poison clan because both siblings are in a same sex relationship thus no blood related heir will be produced and grandma is furious. A good story often circles back to the start after all

She's from another bloodline so it doesn't complicate things by involving someone outside the masters' business.

It might be a good match in that she understands the dangers and difficulties in being an assassin. But I wonder how marriage/breeding between masters work, especially from different Great families. I’d assume that a master bloodline marrying a normal human, the Master bloodline would completely come through in the child. But this episode showed how a bloodline can be diluted, degrading from Rat Master to Hamster master. I wonder if two masters had a child, is it a 50/50 shot the child will receive either/or bloodline? Is there a bloodline hierarchy where Gero’s poison bloodline would completely overtake any non-great family bloodline, and all his children would get poison blood line abilities. Or would mixing two masters blood either give their children a hybrid of the two abilities, or a diluted version of one ability?

Probably because the poison masters spent so much time extracting poison from spiders, scorpions and other insects way back in the day. At some point, some masters developed the ability to communicate with insects, and after a few generations they lost the significant abilities that they shared with the poison clan. Then, once the insect branch was established, they would offer up poison from their insects to the poison clan. That's just my theory though.

Arashiyama Kimie Welp, I'm already in love. It's hilarious how Kimie switches from being smug to begging Gero for help. And while we had to wait for the end of the previous arcs to see the girls show interest in Gero, Kimie fell in love at first sight! And she's a Master, too! A Hamster Master! Sirius is so goddamn adorable and I love how he's been following Gero since the first arc. While I do understand her Clan dwindled in numbers, I'm curious how they went from being Rat Masters to Hamster Masters. 😆 Well, that was brutal. We didn't even get to meet Kimie's group. Although maybe it's for the best since it sounds like, they really don't treat her as an equal and they wanted to use her has a shield against the Assassin Hunter. Are we really sure this dude doesn't have assassin blood in him? The dude pretty much overpowered Gero! And Gero only survived because Piichi realized that Gero is not like other assassins thanks to Kimie standing up for him. So it sounds like Piichi isn't too bad since he only hunts assassins who are actually insane maniacs. I guess that means Bug Master and Needle Master are completely safe from him, then? I knew that collar looked a little bit too snakey for my liking. I guess whoever's activated it, presumably the Beast Clan Head, wanted to use her to make Gero and Piichi come to their headquarters? We're only in Episode 8, and Gero is already taking on one of the Five Great Families? O_O

And we got another two Kinosaki outfits. They are really not stopping. Arashiyama is definitely a fun addition to the cast and she seemingly fits her name quite well. Is a storm and has two huge mountains. But in seriousness, I think it's a good choice to have a girl that is actually into Gero from the beginning. Changes the dynamic a bit especially when it comes to Kinosaki. Like how she was jealous the whole time over Gero using Kinosaki as lap pillow and not her. Might even force some more development in the relationship between Kinosaki and Gero. And I love that her ability is not just stupid but funny as well. Sirius having a shark hat when observing Gero in the shark bar is too adorable. And their main attack being a constellation definitely makes sense with the name. And of course, it is the constellation for dog since that is where you find Sirius (the star). I also like the change for the story in general. Going against an actual family this time is going into the direction of Gero having to face his own grandmother at some point as well. And since it is on an island and we are dealing with animal masters, does this mean we get to see Himekawa and her shark buddy again? Not sure if that would work, but I still hope we get at least a few episodes with the love interests interacting with one another (outside of Kinosaki of course).

Changes the dynamic a bit especially when it comes to Kinosaki. I liked that even Kinosaki seemed to be out of his element with Arashiyama. Before, Kinosaki had always researched the potential target and her circumstances, as well as made plans for Gero to approach them. Even if played for laughs, Kinosaki's first reaction was to keep Gero away from Arashiyama because she looked like a walking red flag. And she seemed too quirky for Kinosaki's taste, though he was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt (as a wife candidate) on the basis that Masters seem to be quirky to begin with.

All these deadly assassins and Masters Kinosaki gets into dangerous situations with because of his relationship with Gero but he never stops styling no matter what! Arashiyama is not a killer but dang it if she doesn't make the most out of being able to work with hamsters! They can do reconnaissance! Be adorable companions! Do coordinated constellation shows that make it clear she is absolutely not a threat!

"Hamster Master" Kimie Arashiyama is assassin who never kill people and very eccentric. And her real source of income is a normal office job. She can't make a living off of being a Master. "Hitman Hunter" Piichi Nakagawa is regular person who can even kill masters and suprisingly reasonable. And he has a steady girlfriend he's planning his life out with, showing yet again that being a deadly killer is in no way a dealbreaker when it comes to healthy romantic relationships!

Arashiyama is a fan girl for Gero. Another perfect match for the friend harem. You know you've won in life when you have a busty fangirl practically throwing herself at you. Nakagawa is cool, thought he would be a major threat (and he was when they faught), but now he'll team up with Gero to save Arashiyama. He's a killer of killers with principles and a strong dedication to life with his girlfriend! You have to respect how civic-minded, compassionate, and loyal he is!

I mean, mutation is the whole reason for evolution. Of course, it's usually gradual, but tbf, the abilities in this series are quite extreme anyway, so I wouldn't even wonder that something like this exists here. I think the bigger difference is that Piichi was either overlooked by the big families or is just one of the few people that don't want to use their talent for killing which could lead to a change in the power between the families. Also, don't forget that the constellation move is making the constellation for dog, which Sirius (the star) is a part of and even the brightest.

Arishayama is the first potential marriage candidate who rivals Kinosaki’s beauty. It does get balanced out by her being an absolute girlfailure but honestly that makes her funny and adorable so just from this episode I already like her the most of the marriage candidates. Ham and the other hamsters help a lot too but her accidentally painting Gero as a manwhore in that cafe cost her a couple of points. The previews shown last episode made me get the expectations of what would happen completely wrong. From them I was predicting that Arishayama was going to be working with Nakagawa to kill Gero and that she would pretend to need a bodyguard to then betray Gero and get him killed but Gero would be Gero and win her over before she betrayed him. After this episode this is definetly not the case and won’t be what happens. One disappointing thing from this episode was that the dead animal masters just had generic designs. Would have been cool if they were dressed in a way that made them seem like those animal masters even if they just show up as corpses. The masters are assasins but they still dress in ways to make them memorable but not these chumps who their animals seemingly didn’t even care about. Through Nakagawa we also get confirmation that the 2 brothers from episode 1 did in fact start a cleaning business after getting a reality check from Gero. Finally these date practice sessions are also just excuses for Kinosaki to go on dates with Gero.

yeah that makes sense. I guess ive been so used to having the masters have very standout or extra designs or personalities like with Insect, Sound and Hamster masters (plus other series having very flamboyant and memorable villains like JOJO) that I wanted a bit more from the masters for animals like Orcas and Owls and since they were already dead I hoped the corpse atleast had something to remember them for.

And here she is; The Boob Master! Oh damn, she's insane! Ah, hamsters. Close enough! Kinosaki watching his stock drop everytime she hugs him So she works a normal job, and is pretty much just a member in name only... On top of not having fighting abilities, she doesn't seem to be that bright! So we finally met the hitman hunter... His ability is quite unique, it's huh... "Shove pointy stick in people's chest"! Ok maybe it's a little special after all! Ah, he's genuinely trying to do some good in the world? Trying to prevent something nefarious the Beast people have in mind... I wonder if that's something linked to the beasts (let them roam free over the world/got against humans&technology), or just something more simple like robbing the world's wealth or something! Girl, keep your horny in check! Ok this is gonna sound all wrong, but I hope dismembering them was all he was doing with these octogenarians! So Hunter-kun doesn't even have a grand mission in mind, he only wants to keep things peaceful around his cafe and all! Love how they were all thinking about this and wondering what to do and all, but she's focusing on something a little different!

I don’t know what trope this is, but when a known homme fatale/femme fatale fails at seducing their target, I love it. Let them be flops! Girl how the fuck did you not know they dead 💀 Hitman Hunty is such a cutie. I caught up with Klutz in Skirt, and the Manga club would absolutely go feral for Marriagetoxin, I realize. Gero wants a wife to love, and here I am, shipping him with every male antagonist. I know that club would be so supportive. Awww and cutie doesn’t want to harm the animals, I can work with that He’s a mutant The irony of this after being traumatized by Gail Simone’s Uncanny X-Men organic Sentinels right now. Brushbuddy is still my top tier animal companion this season, but the hamsters are definitely going on the list. Is this a mahou shoujo reference? Is this a Super Sentai reference? Oh my gods, I love this hunter. Piichi? Huh. Ima wait for somebody to say if that name mean anything funny. I want to open a cafe with my girlfriend God fucking dammit, why are all the good men taken 😭 Ugh. And she cute too. I wanna date them both. Baddies bagging baddies, every goddamn time. Should known the collar was suspect. Kimie is Just a Cutie! Honestly, had not expected a hamster master. But all these subtypes make me so curious just how many subtypes there are because this has the opportunity to be even more ridiculous. Piichi is such a cutie. His girlfriend’s cute too. I think a café together as a couple business might be risky, but I also think being a hitman is risky, so things balance out.

Going to game centers is a pretty common date spot and perfect for Kinosaki to teach Gero how to play crane games and drain his wallet in the process! But also the perfect excuse for the two of them go on a date themselves! They even get a purikura together, with Kinosaki MORE than making up for Gero's lack of expressions. But who is observing their date but a busty pink-haired beauty with a VERY generous leg slit in her skirt! Kimie Arashiyama is there to get her OWN purikura with Gero and recruit him to be her bodyguard! Of course her being a proud beauty that he should be grateful for guarding isn't going to get her far, but she's actually a really quirky, hammy, girl who you can't help but want to give a chance! Also, she has such a delightful laugh, gahahhaha! And she's none other than the HAMSTER MASTER! Who can speak the ancient language of the hamsters and along with her hamster partner Sirius do spy/reconnaisance work! Sirius has been in the show watching Gero all along! And Arashiyama is in desperate need of his help. Arashiyama may be a Master, but she's no killer and even her families' master status is about to get revoked in the Beast Clan. She eve has a day job as an ordinary office worker! She knew she could never actually afford Gero, but he's her fave who she stans/crushes on massively, so she just HAD to see him before she got offered up by the Beast Clan as a shield to protect them from the Hitman Hunter. Lucky for her that Gero has adjustable rates for clients, especially the ones he thinks are worth protecting! And it lets Arashiyama throw herself at him, which is a nice bonus! Kinosaki in that pantsuit? S+++! Meet the other Beast Masters'...dead corpses! With their animal companions right next to them! Perfect way of introducing the Hitman Hunter, Piichi Nakagawa, who is quite possibly the most deadly foe Gero has ever fought at this point. Right to the point of immediately stabbing him. Even when Gero uses a double dose of Toxin to give him strength to go Ora Ora Ora on him, the Hitman Hunter is unphased. He's superhumanly strong, durable, AND fast and can still come close to killing Gero. He's just an ordinary guy from a family of teachers following his own code of ethics to protect the innocent and the world from ruthless killers and assassins. He even has a girlfriend who he has to make a lunch date with. What a guy. Gero can't use his Toxin a third time because he's too weak...but his desire to protect Arashiyama and Arashiyama trying to protect her beloved Gero with the power of the Sirius' Squad's signature technique: forming Canis Major! Is enough to convince Nakagawa that they're not actually a threat or bad people. I love how Arashiyama is bothered by Gero getting a lap pillow from Kinosaki...and hasn't realized Kinosaki's actual gender. All Nakagawa wants to do is run a cafe with his attractive purple-haired girlfriend, so with that in mind he wants to create a more peaceful, safe, place for people who can come to said cafe. If that means tracking down the Beast Clan and killing every deranged/psychotic killer he can in the process, then so be it. I can respect the hustle. But they don't need to find the Beast Clan...the Beast Clan will find THEM as Kazuyuki Okitsu uses the boa constrictor collar on Arashiyama to drain the blood out of her and force them to come...to Dogo Animal Kingdom!

Arashiyama's character design made you think she's some badass big sister femme fatale type. But she's just a cute dork who's never even killed anybody before wielding cute hamster familiars (with utterly useless moves to boot LOL). Shit just got real with Piichi coming in and killing off so many assassins like it was nothing and nearly killing Gero. Though Gero's selflessness was what saved him as Piichi also has the same philosophy as Gero of only killing scumbags when it comes to killing. So instead of Piichi, the real enemy is now that guy from the Beast Clan holding Arashiyama's life hostage.

Finally the 2nd best girl of the series (for me) after Ureshino, Arashiyama the sexy girl failure enter the fray. She grabs your attention with her sexy character design! She keeps it because she's so fun, hilarious, and adorable! Piichi monotone uninterested voice really take me back tho, making the dude more inhuman. And yet his motivation is surprisingly empathetic and sweet with hunting down killers for the sake of others and for a peaceful, cozy, live with his girlfriend.

It's refreshing to see someone gushing over Gero, but she seems more like a fan rather than a love interest. It was nice to see him receive some affection, although a bit suffocatingly lol.  Gero being this overwhelmed in a fight was a surprise, I know his expertise is in assassination and traps, but it really shows how threatening Piichi is.  It's crazy that the beast clan has given all of those in their branch families a necklace that could kill them at any time, I'm not too surprised by it, but it shows how disposable the clan thinks of the branches.

Yeeees, my champion in the Gero matchmaking gauntlet has arrived! I love Arashiyama a lot, and I'm happy to see that her VA is really doing her well I'm also super happy to see Piichi. He really is just a Sakamoto Days character who got kicked out of that manga and found himself here. Tell me breaking a vertical sign off of a building and swinging it around as a weapon isn't some Taro Sakamoto type shit

The introduction of 2 likeable characters in one episode! For a change, we have Kimie going after Gero. I believe Kimie's interactions with Gero surpassed her own expectations (or romantic fantasies). Lol! Another aspect I like about this title is that Gero isn't an overpowered main characters who wins every fight with ease. He had some problems dealing with Sound Master. He also experienced defeat at the hands of Piichi. Speaking of Piichi, it is nice to see he is a hitman who targets only Masters who harm others needlessly. New love interest and new ally unlocked for Gero in one episode! Lastly, Hamu!

Looks like Gero need not do anything to win Kimie over since she’s already heads over heels for him. Pretty much every single move he made had rizzed her. It's a different change of pace to have a girl who is aggressively romantic with him and skipping the "get to know each other after saving her" part. Poor Kimie’s getting jealous over Mei for having Gero’s head on his lap. It's funnier when you realize she still thinks Kinosaki is a woman. Though he's still worth getting jealous over with how much chemistry he has with Gero.

I see why a lot of manga readers were hyping up Hamster Master. Girl has been someone I've wanted to see since the OP showed how hot she is, and turns out she is a girl failure who is already in love with Gero to boot. But so far I'm still team Ureshino because of how wholesome her growth arc was. And not like she isn't already falling hard for Gero too. I'm really curious if there's something about the Hitman Killer even he doesn't know, or if he is just a freak mutation that is stronger than hundreds of years of careful genetic improvements that the 5 main families have. Some smart main Family with a daughter would be wise to corrupt him and bring his blood into their genetic line. Hard to do though when he's in love with a girl already and just wants a cafe.

So unpopular propolly opinion but i'm curious what others think. Did this hit-man hunter just ruin the setting having him take down 6 or more master like they were nothing fighting Our lead to a clear win. Like I get here now trying to quickly pivot and have him become a "friend" more like enemy of my enemy but doesn't stop this dude just wrecked half a dozen or more Master like they were nothing. Feels like we need to better explain the ranking. In a system where you've established it takes insane training to become a master having random white suit no my parent are just teachers. Now we can twist this at any moment still feels odd to see so many taken down so fast.

Based upon what the new girl said, it seems like master titles are earned and then passed down through bloodlines and mark the ones that have developed special abilities. Like the new girl herself is a master despite low offensive ability and not killing people. So while the title marks them in some way, it doesn't actually seem to denote how dangerous they themselves are. In this specific case though, the matchup could have just been bad. If these guys focused on assassination and fighting via their animals, a guy with super speed and strength getting the drop on them would be brutal. Edit: They likely also weren't very bright/taking this seriously if the only way they could think to use the new girl was "meat shield". The hamsters have obvious scouting utility.

Ok damn this guys strong and dangerous. He's not a master or from any family but he's just fucking different. He's a mutant. While master families take long long time mamy generations etc this guy surpassed them in one wow. Gero actually lost but thankfully it seems they're allies now maybe? Going to fight the beast family which is one of the 5 great master families. Honestly I know those were just sub branch families but still pretty disappointing. I love the new hamster master girl she's great and honestly from the other ones seems the most useful besides maybe owl. Hamsters great to recon seeing as she managed to even track Gero the poison master. Other ones not really great for assassinations anyway. Though as much as I love her she's more like Gero's idol fan or something. Gero is her oshi. Now we gotta save her and maybe destroy the beast clan cuz they're a bunch of pieces of shit it seems. I wonder how the assasination world etc going to feel if one of the great families got destoryed cuz one dude just wants to open a cafe with his girlfriend in peace? Also while cool to see something besides the master family bloodlines idk how I feel about how overpowered this mutant guy is and I wonder if we'll see more of people like him?

It's always a little tricky to make protags of romcoms be assassins. Usually they get round that by having them only kill "bad guys". But if you kill people for money you can't really complain when someone else starts coming after you. So the hitman hunter seems pretty justified to me. I would like if Gero used his poison tactics in a more interesting way than just buffing himself. There's been a couple of times, but he mostly just uses the same thing. New girl is a lot of fun, hope we get a few more episodes of her.

This hamster woman is incredible. Every candidate so far plus Kinosaki are all best girl. While Arashiyama was quite hot in her outfit today I wish we could have seen more of that business Arashiyama look. I'm really curious if Sirus was actually in previous episodes spying on Gero or not. Pi-chan is pretty fun, I would have to say I had my doubts about how long he was going to be an antagonist after they described one of the Masters he killed as Dan the Dismemberer. You don't generally get that kind of title for being a kind and cuddly guy. And a few episodes back I was speculating that maybe someone should clean up a few of these families, maybe we have a candidate for that job.

This is Hinano Shirahama's 2nd role is she's still killing it like her previous role as Sara Haizaki from Hotel Inhumans. Hikaru, Mei & Kimie's interaction in the cafe was hilarious especially the bystanders' reactions. Kimie listing the Masters while they lay dead was darkly hilarious. Kimie being useless in this situation was funny. Piichi's a strong badass for a normal dude. He has a fine girlfriend too. I didn't notice you can use electric money for arcade games, I usually use points card in Timezone & Q Power Station. Hikaru vs Piichi is my favorite fight so far. So Sirius tracked Hikaru since episode 1 when he bumped into a vending machine. Mei chugging 2 & later 3 drinks at the same time was funny. I thought the collar would choke Kimie but I didn't expect her snake collar to drain her blood. Kimie's cute & funny when being jealous of not having Hikaru use her lap as a pillow.

First off, she's my best girl now.. what sold me in? The "LAUGH".. yep that alone made me grin enough.. that laugh is something worth protecting. Also I'm no hater of this show but I don't like the hitman hunter being just a "REGULAR guy".. I hope there's some backstory to his strength cuz isn't it kinda unfair? Like Hikaru despite his busted ass skills, he did TRAIN from BIRTH to THIS AGE non-FOKIN stop to reach that level of Master. Yet that guy just overwhelms him without being one, just straight up nonesense lol. I do say he's an assassin on the trap specialist so fighting isn't really his main forte. Though I Still hate how that guy just said hes a Regular guy.. like lmao. Aint bloodline something cultivated through multiple generations till it turned superhuman levels? yet this guy is just busted? like wtf.
