I'm curious how long the episodes would be if all the Pride glaze scenes were cut out. The last 2-3 private conversations between Stale and Arthur have essentially been the same plus Pride glaze and a flashback to Pride earlier in the episode and sometimes flashbacks from other episodes. "This is your position. Make sure you do this thing. . Yeah bro." Fist bump. At least the first half of the season really felt like it was progressing. This part feels like it's delaying to fill up the last few episodes of the season. And of course things are different, Pride. If they previously invaded with the expectation that you'd betray them on your arrival, it's no wonder they'd change their plans without it. Still, it can be the case that the peace talks were also part of that original play. They announce that they'll attack early. The prince returns and the enemy forms an alliance with Pride and inevitably attacks on the original day. Because the prince was gone, he wouldn't know about their newfound alliance and the upcoming betrayal. So it may not even be that different.

Yeah, that's something that really bothers me with this series. I generally like the characters and plot (except all that Pride glazing lol), but it feels like it moves at snail's pace with those constant flashbacks and scenes lingering on characters' faces. The pacing stagnates in so many scenes... It's likely a budget issue but I'm also pretty sure there is enough source material, so they could've gone for a slightly faster speed and adapt more. Which is a strange thing to even complain about because so many adaptions just do a speedrun through the story which is equally bad. *coughunnamedmemorycough*

This is a minor tangent, but shouldn't Tiara have more relevancy in both the anime and the in-story game? Tiara is meant to be the original main protagonist in the game, but now, I don't recall the last time she played a pivotal role in the story, she usually just stands around and does nothing noteworthy; and even in the in-story game, it seems like Pride does more than her. In fact, Tiara wasn't even in this episode, that's how little she matters. I know that the timeline in the anime is different the game, and Pride is the main focus, but I would still like to see Tiara do more in the story, and play a pivotal role.

Tiara wouldn't do anything noteworthy until the time of the game which the anime isn't at yet but also Pride is preventing the things that Tiara would have to deal with later. Also, the game protagonist/heroine in these are usually very bland and shallow characters that are dragged along by the plot more than they drive it. Usually they're just there to say the right things to unlock routes and maybe be the special magical thing that's needed to beat the final boss. I don't know if actual games of this type are like that but that's what the heroine of the game story usually is in these anime though they might be different in the anime's plot depending on their relationship with the MC. Still, you're right, it would be nice if Tiara got to be more of a character than that but I just don't see how with Pride handling everything. Maybe whatever's going on right now that changed the story so much can lead to it.

I don't know if actual games of this type are like that but that's what the heroine of the game story usually is in these anime though they might be different in the anime's plot depending on their relationship with the MC. most Otome game heroine is usually as they are portrait in these, very nice girl who down to earth who pretty active in getting the guy or getting physical but the difference is that they aren't green tea bitches who only nice outside but not nice inside (Villainess Isekai is just absolutely fill with role swap instead of playing the role entirely straight)

The only reason is it's not in her (typical anime otome game heroine) character to do so without some outside force. I think Pride should be that force if she ever stops to think about it like the MC on Mobsekai had to but it doesn't seem like it's on her mind so maybe the antagonists will. Oh, or maybe the queen could. Would be cool if the queen remembered there's another princess and she needs some development too.

Alright, so we're going to war. I know its nothing new, but I find it funny how everyone is concerned they'll have too many volunteers ready to rip and tear for Pride. Personally I hope we see her take the field at least once. Am i the only one that doesnt understand Pride's pure hate towards Cedric? His only crime is being dumb and prideful, I know he commited the unforgivable act of eating the food Pride made for her harem, but it hardly seems like something to dispise someone over. Gilbert was ready to sell state secrets, and Val was an actual criminal, why did they get off easy?

His stupidity is way more infuriating because he’s playing with the lives of his people by keeping his pride intact rather than begging for help. It’s understandable why Gilbert and Val did what they did since their circumstances required drastic actions, whereas Cedric has no justification for his flirtatious and legitimately carefree behaviour. Some of it was his acting, but under these circumstances, the percentage of non-acting should never be more than 0%.

Prideful stupidity appears to be her biggest pet peeve. And he's decked out to the nines in it and it's putting lives at risk - and she has a deep respect for life. Heck, most of what she does is to save lives either from death or from ruin. That's her core trait. And his prideful stupidity causes the opposite of what she's working so hard for and it does it through blatant carelessness. Makes perfect sense that he'd rub her the wrong way in the extreme.

I'm assuming that the Kingdom of Copelandii early attack on the Chinensis Kingdom is related to that scene with that fucker Adam. I know it wasn't going to happen, but when Pride grabbed Cedric , I was hoping for her to punch her face. Well, at least Pride reminded him how much she hates him while she was helping him. I wonder what exactly Pride asked both Arthur and Stale to do? I love the fact that Pride's biggest issue when asking for help from her troops, is the fact that they all want to volunteer. I don't know why, but to me, Pride looked especially beautiful in this scene.

Yes but one of those set events would have to account for Pride negotiating with the enemy to later betray her allies when the battle came. It's probably happened earlier now because Pride never reached out to them. Also Pride essentially being a different character from the game version would mean that the mole is reporting different information. Since a proper alliance looks likely in this case, the enemy is planning the peace talks to prevent reinforcements.

What headache has Cedric brought to Pride this time around? Hasn't he done enough!? Pride literally needs to talk her guards into not stopping her and also holding her back if necessary! She really has just about had it with him. But it's kind of understandable why Cedric is acting out and in a rush to get back to Hanazuo. I mean, his brother has seemingly gone insane and Chinensis is still going to get invaded and he feels utterly powerless. The worst part is that this is actually going off the rails from the game where this only happened AFTER Heretical Pride had betrayed them in their "alliance" to screw them all over. Cedric's just about given up but Pride can't abide by that, as a royal and as someone who has been battling her own inner demons and the game history she can't forget. She might hate him and everything he represents, she might never forgive him, but she'll still be his ally for the sake of his people. Don't worry, when Freesia puts their mind to something, they've got the special powers to make it happen fast, quick, and efficiently. Pride is leading reinforcements like a proper warrior princess! Of course she thinks she's inconveniencing the army when the only inconvenience is how they have to actually scale back from preventing the entire army from loyally following her into battle. That's their popular perfect Princess Pride. Arthur and Stale commiserate over getting Pride AMSR and still hating Cedric, having no intention of forgiving him...even though Arthur, in his own way, empathized with the state of despair he was in. But Stale doesn't have the luxury of forgiving, he hasn't even forgiven Gilbert or Val for what they did in season 1, but they'll both go along with what Pride wants. The only thing they're as loyal to as her is their friendship with each other.

I'm kinda starting to hate this show. Imagine being a crown princess and bending over backwards to help an arrogant, whiny, stupid prince of an isolated nation with which you have 0 relations, volunteering your own soldiers to go fight and die on their behalf. She's basically looking her soldiers in the face and saying "go die for these strangers whos prince has been nothing but disrespectful to me and who didn't even really properly ask for help until I forced him to. Btw I don't even like the guy and there is 0 benefit to you or your country in this but it will definitely make us powerful new enemies" Also every character practically worshipping her is annoying af, takes up so much screen time.
