悲劇の元凶となる最強外道ラスボス女王は民の為に尽くします。Season２

It takes real skill to be the first non-antagonist that Pride and pretty much everyone else collectively despise and want nothing to do with. To be the first love interest in the game Pride actually hates and is annoyed by (she must not have enjoyed his route!) when you're like front-and-center on the game cover to boot. We haven't even seen what Heretical Pride did to Cedric compared to everyone else because his stupidity has basically turned THIS Pride against him beyond her natural empathy towards his situation.

Not gonna lie, I almost dropped this after Episode 7. Watching Pride get flustered over random romance tropes felt so out of place, it didn’t suit the story at all. I don’t want her reduced to blushing because some guy tries to hold her hand. But Episode 8 gave me hope again. Cedric still makes no sense, but at least the war setup looks promising. Pride hasn’t really used her sword since Season 1, and seeing her fight again with that “last boss” cheat would be awesome. What works best is when the story leans into her being haunted by her past life and memories, not filler romance beats. That’s the heroine I signed up for.

It is good to finally have clarity on Cedric's reason to want to establish an alliance with Freesia, but not before almost being executed by Arthur, Alan, Callum, and Eric. Those knives were definitely thrown by Harrison, otherwise he would not have shown up again last week, unless that's a misdirection. Well, now that Pride told Cedric to speak up we got to see that in The United Hanazuo Kingdom, no issue emerged between the Cerdis Kingdom & the Chinencis Kingdom to the point that Cedric saw Yohan equally as a brother as his real brother, King Lance. Their problem came when the nation of Copelandii paid them a visit , telling them to submit to them. Well, after begging Queen Rosa and telling her everyone of The United Hanazuo Kingdom's dire situation, they agreed to help him. Based on the post-credit scene, it seems that Copelandii already began their invasion of The United Hanazuo Kingdom, which is why the guards are stopping Cedric from leaving. I'm assuming he thinks he got his deal too late. Well, with Pride rallying her troops, Copelandii will have a little surprise coming to their territorial expansion.

It was nice to see some good tension with how protective the guards were of Pride, it must have shocked them to have allowed Pride to be put in that situation. I do wonder who the knives came from, Val doesn't use knives from what I remember, would it be from Arthur's captain? Unless Tiara has secretly been learning combat lol.  Cedric is crazy for prioritizing his pride over informing Freesia that his kingdom is getting invaded, I can see why Pride was so frustrated with him. That backstory wasn't doing him any favors either, Lance and Yohan had their work cut out for them lol.

I see, I made a mistake last week in saying... All those royal etiquette and manners, yet no common sense, how is that even possible? Since he didn't have any to begin with. But yes, I was correct about this one before he even made that apology. No remorse, no apology, and what, later you wanna get angry? Give me a break. So, hah, that's what you get for being too arrogant, sooo full of yourself, and self-centred, you Baka-Cedric. And... handsome face = respect and kneel, the heck with that logic 😂 Anyway, it's a good episode this week, but then next week, Pride-sama goes at it again and slams someone to the wall/floor 🙂 She loves doing that, so no wonder people fall in love with her, and even me. Damn. Anyway, looking forward to the next episode!

What's Pride to do to relax from all the stress of Cedric's nonsense? Why, a lap pillow from Tiara of course! And the only thing sweeter than Pride sleeping on her little sisters' lap is letting her sister nap herself after she wakes up. Well, if Cedric was looking to apologize to Pride, he had another thing coming. Because she knows his apology is insincere and what he's really after, because she's played the game, and pushing her against a tree as a man possessed by desperation is definitely NOT going to help. Pride could probably kick his butt, but Arthur shows up looking for blood against anyone who would do his Princess harm. (Who threw the knives though? Was it Stale?) Pride has no time for Val's teasing. She has no time for ANY teasing at this point. Pride hates Cedric's guts, pretty much everyone in the palace dislikes him at this point, but she knows why he's really here and why he needs this alliance with Freesia and she's not going to let his pride (heh) get in the way of that even if she has to basically demand he clean up his act, not run away, and be honest for once. His pretty good looks are not going to help him here. What is Cedric's deal? A second prince who could coast on his handsome looks without putting in much effort, constantly lectured by his older brother voiced by Satoshi Hino and supported by fellow Prince Yohan. They were effectively his parents and the only family he had, and all Cedric wanted to do was protect something so precious to him. So of course Yohan's kingdom of Chinensis gets threatened to be invaded and taken over by Copelandii, and Cedric's brother wouldn't abandon them, leaving Cedric desperate to find aid to save everything he knew and loved. Cedric screwed all this up, so all he can do is bow his head in apology and beg for assistance...and thankfully the queen is willing to give it, especially when Pride used her "premonition" to to reassure her of Cedric's requests' validity. Can Cedric ever make things right with Pride? Can he ever get her to forgive him? His apology and desire to do so seem sincere...but Stale isn't going to make it that easy for him. And drama in the Hanazuo kingdom will make that even MORE complicated. Next week: Looks like Pride rallies an army!
