I love how freaked out Stale was because of the kiss Leon gave Pride. It sure took Pride long to recover from that kiss. I love how, after all that teasing Val did to the others about their reaction to that kiss, he could not hide how happy he was when he heard that Pride would no longer have to marry Leon. I wasn't expecting that scene of Queen Rosa worrying about her never making Pride happy to lead to her telling everyone there about the visions she had of Evil Pride. Well, at least thanks to that, now Stale knows why Pride told him and Arthur in the past to become strong enough to stop her if she becomes evil. However, I would have loved it if Pride had told her mother that the visions she sees involved her evil self, too. Well, after Stale asked Pride about the reason she was so angry with Erwin and Homer, and after hearing her consoled her, he will now start his path of becoming a seneschal and learning the duties of a prince consort in order to give Pride the liberty to marry whoever she wants in the future.

Pride is STILL feeling that kiss from Leon! And Stale and Arthur are REALLY freaking out! I feel bad for the poor knights who have to sit through this nonsense. But Leon's feelings were true for Pride, even as he remains committed and dedicated to his kingdom and people, though this will probably not be the last time they see Leon. Ah, so Stale and Arthur have VERY strict standards for who they could accept wedding Pride...if not themselves! Dang, Pride needs to be fanned by her maids! She really just can't fathom that confession, especially because she's never been in love before and can only rationalize the boys' feelings in relation to Heretical Pride...so it's a good thing Callum was there to very enthusiastically and sincerely convey Leon's true feelings for Pride! She genuinely made someone fall in love with her! Most awkward carriage ride ever. Good thing Val is there to speed this trip up and call everyone out, though really he is just as happy knowing Pride is back on the market. Wow, the queen really is taking this hard feeling like she screwed up as a mom again by saddling Pride with a problematic fiance (or at least his situation was) when she really only intended to have Pride find the man of her dreams. It makes Pride realize that as much as she emotionally detached herself from her mother (who isn't even supposed to be alive at this point in the story, as I recall) as the queen, her mom is still her mom and has been trying her best to be a queen, a mom, and express her love for Pride. Even if it's been complicated because she had a premonition about Heretical Pride and didn't know what to do about her daughter...but at least now they can embrace each other and convey how much they love each other. It wasn't just the injustice of what his brothers' did that drove Pride to hate them so much...it's because they saw Heretical Pride in them and was reacting to her evil self. Good thing Stale is there to help her realize that she is NOT Heretical Pride, there are people who genuinely care for and want to support her, and they'll be there to stop her if she does turn evil! Next thing you know they're noses kiss as they're embracing each other and Stale is freaking out. They even exchange "I love you's" though the intention between them is VERY different for Stale than it is for Pride. Stale is going to commit to becoming a prime minister who can cover for the Prince Consort and serve his sister well...which could mean whoever weds Pride could be literally anyone, even Stale himself! Though it's nice that Pride's parents are happy Gilbert is going out of his way to support Stale. They are technically his parents too.

It's sad to think about how the Queen has been so worried about Pride turning into a heretical villainess this entire time, and she's been trying to find a way to stop that from happening, but from her perspective things have failed because her plans aren't going as intended. I'm glad Pride showed her some comfort that she wouldn't turn out that way, but I can see why she was shaken from the reveal.  The way everyone was freaking out over a kiss on the cheek was so funny to watch, I like how Val as well was exasperated by them, he seemed to have fun teasing them over it. However, it also seems like he was very happy about Leon no longer being her fiancee, so he's on a similar boat.  I did find it interesting to see Callum translate Leon's kiss on the cheek, that felt very intimate, and he really has a way of expressing those feelings. It's a good thing nobody was eavesdropping on their conversation.  Stale finding his resolve after that intimate moment with Pride was cool, it looks like the main group may actually have more of a chance if Stale is able to learn all he needs to. Poor Val only has the elope option though lol.

This may sound offending to others but, I just can't see myself that Val and Pride are meant to be together. If so, could anyone here is willing to give an explanation as to why the audience of this anime is sided to Val and Pride couple? I personally love the Stale x Pride kind of idea because they've known for each other since they were a kid (right now, I also love Leon x Pride, though I prefer Stale even more because he made an oath to himself that he will do anything to protect Pride even if it costs his dear life).
