I swear, Alicia taking off the school uniform this episode was like the sexiness equivalent of Rock Lee taking off his training weights. I repeatedly gloss over it both because her usual clothing conceals it well and the the her art design is a bit inconsistent, but Alicia is sexy as hell and this episode finally gave us a glaringly obvious reminder of that. She also absolutely rocks the ponytail look. I also love that we also got her absolutely kicking ass in the this episode despite being in the barely existent “outfit”. I love a character who is both sexy, badass, and competent all at once!

I fucking love Alicia, she's a meat head but she's not an idiot either, I feel like anime tends to make the not genius characters overly dense. Clevetess has a really nice balance where character's inteligence seem believable. She's a fucking badass and I'm never thinking she's being too stupid. Also she really gets put through the wringer with all the beatings she takes, it's rare to see female heroes take this much physical damage and become so visually scared . Such a great character.

I also love Alicia immensely. She’s my favorite character in the show and you hit the nail on the head on both points. She’s clearly smart just not book smart. And likewise huge agreement about how willing the show is to put Alicia through the wringer of brutal beatings. It’s rare enough to get a female hero MC of a dark fantasy adventure story like this in general, and it feels even rarer for stories to let FMCs get physically damaged like this one. It feels like the standard is usually them being a side character whose torture exists to affect the male MC, said damage done to them being disproportionately sexual in nature, or some combination of the two. In that sense I’m really happy the story lets Alicia get physically maimed just like your typical male hero.

Yeah, the brutality Alicia experienced isn’t specifically gendered in any way. Look at any male dark fantasy protagonist and I’d imagine you can see comparable treatment to Alicia. Then contrast it to like the doujin medium equivalent of a dark fantasy female hero’s treatment.

Ngl I'm probably overthinking it and the answer is more obvious than I'm thinking.

Based on what I understand, the dean is already dead but the princess is split into two personality due to her curse. Both side has the ability to transform as the dean and the evil princess is using that to conceal the fact that they're the same entity.

What I don’t get is it appears the princess only has been thrown down here recently but we know she uncovered her other half when she was still a child. I even recall her having taken over the Union and sitting on top of the former leader with the evil eyes. So were they previously sharing the same body?

It may have previously have been a thing where the "light" version didn't really know about the activities or the "dark" version. Fell into a trance when being controlled by her other half and woke up with no memories.

Wasn't the dean just trapped in the mirror world less the skin because the evil princess need it as the disguise? Assuming he didn't die on that though.

Like book of furnance take control of you after you burned in the furnance, I think the second book gives you a second personality controled by it. So princess' mother choose Luna's father way out. Being royalty suck in this series.
