The Ryūen vs Hōsen was amazing. It really illustrated how Ryūen’s strength isn’t what makes him dangerous but his tenacity and all or nothing mentality. While i enjoyed the battle it was a bit unfortunate they removed the part where Hōsen questioned why Ishizaki and Albert serve him. All in all 9.3/10 cote episode.
龍園vs宝泉は最高だったな。龍園の危険さは強さじゃなくて、執念と全てを賭ける姿勢にあるってのがよく分かるシーンだった。戦闘シーンは楽しめたけど、宝泉が石崎やアルベルトになんで龍園に従うのか問い詰める部分がカットされたのはちょっと残念。全体的にはよう実エピソードとして9.3/10だね。普通くん

yes but koji was not even putting in 5% effort in his fight w ryuen, he was literally letting ryuen put him in vulnerable positions to try to understand the “fear” ryuen was talking about in trying to better understand ryuen’s origins and way of thinking. if koji was trying to speedrun it the fight would have ended in one shot like with nagumo in this episode. he sped it up with nagumo likely for 2 reasons: 1) nagumo is too senior and too established to be a pawn so helping craft nagumo as a tool is not efficient and 2) he is in a hurry to meet tsuki by the time the day ends with ryuen he was like a matador with the bull: feeding false hope, choreographing a discussion while fighting, and giving ryuen hope that the gap b/w them is surmountable if ryuen tries more. all this to spur growth over the next two years of school. koji wanted to show ryuen competency so they could build a relationship of respect between one another as peers (not really from koji’s end, he views everyone as tools, but he wants ryuen to think this). vs the chilling crush he landed on nagumo to instead say “don’t fuck with me again, this is your last warning”

he’s not, this is the first or second time koji has shown in anime what he is capable of if he tries a little more (first ia debatably the run with manabu). the gap is just insanely wide. nagumo is still proabbly top 5 in the school for fighting, below koji and koenji and debatable vs gen 4 WR students, hosen, utomiya

Wow, ngl, I thought I would be disappointed because not that much had happened until almost the ending and after Ryuen's short fight and because only 2 episode were left, so I expected almost non-stop Action. But damn, the finish of Ryuen and the ending scene really redeemed this episode as one of the best. Did not expect that comeback. Firstly, how Ryuen used the same finisher on Hosen as Ayanokoji had used on him during their fight, and how Ayanokoji's lifeless eyes watched Nagumo, then the punch. DAMN, PEAK episode. Also really liked the art direction they took for Ryuen vs Hosen.

hosen is a plot device to show ryuen’s development since y1. the setup is actually very similar to the basement - a situation that can only be resolved through violence, and a physically strong opponent where ryuen is likely outmatched despite his tenacious nature. ryuen learns to not show all his cards at once (koji knew it was 4v1 from the get go and because koji had the element of surprise everyone went in one by one, whereas here ryuen leverages being underestimated by hosen into baiting that it’s a 1v1, and first wastes hosen’s energy before springing the trap). learned from getting pinned on the ground by koji that going to the ground is able to neutralize physical advantages like reach and weight, so he reflects that onto hosen he emulates koji here in this scenario and finds his own way to win, which is exactly the type of growth koji looks for from his pawns
宝泉は龍園の成長を見せるためのプロット装置だな。設定は地下室とすごく似てて、暴力でしか解決できない状況で、龍園が粘り強いとはいえ分が悪い相手ってところも同じ。龍園は一度に全部の手札を見せるなって学んだんだよ（綾小路は最初から4対1って分かってたし、奇襲のおかげで一人ずつかかってきた。ここでは龍園が宝泉に舐められてるのを利用して1対1に見せかけ、まず宝泉の体力を削ってから罠を仕掛けた）。綾小路に押さえつけられた経験から、地面戦がリーチや体重差を無効化できるって学んで、それを宝泉に応用したんだ。この場面で綾小路の真似をして自分なりの勝ち方を見つけたのは、まさに綾小路が駒に求める成長の形だよ。普通くん

It was really something. So Ayanokouji asked help from the Sakayanagi. Pretty smart move. I thought there'd be more, but it sure ended abruptly and Ayanokouji survived easily. Don't think I liked it that way. Next moment, Ichinose comes and confesses to him. Wow, that was good. But there was no proper reaction from Ayanokouji. He just had his usual "glare" stare. I mean, come on Studio Lerche, really? Does he show no other emotions at all ? And lastly, I have no idea what Nagumo was trying to achieve but he sure got his ass kicked. Lmao. The new President seems quite weak. But then again, Horikita Manabu wasn't quite strong either, compared to Ayanokouji.
おお、綾小路と坂柳が協力して宝泉と龍園を止めたシーンはマジで怖かったな。喧嘩中に急に襲われて縛られてボコボコにされるってヤバすぎる。綾小路が坂柳に助けを求めたのは賢い判断だと思った。もっと続くかと思ったけど、あっさり終わって綾小路が簡単に生き残ったのはちょっと好みじゃなかったかな。次に一之瀬が告白してくるシーンは良かったけど、綾小路の反応がいつもの「睨み」だけってのはさすがにスタジオ Lerche、何とかならんのか？彼に他の感情はないのかよ。最後に、南雲が何をしたかったのかさっぱりだけど、ボコボコにされたのは笑った。新会長、結構弱くない？でも堀北学も綾小路と比べたら大して強くなかったか。普通くん
