We catch a short glimpse of what seems to be the hatchling. It doesn't really seem to give a humanoid vibe, and looks more like a juvenile kaiju rather than Kuroe's juvenile human -> adult kaiju. So my guess is probably a goon for Harugon to fight and prove she's the good guy than Manatsu's love interest, but I'd certainly it rather be the latter.

And then her mom saw the report and said it wasn't "that island" but that it could be similar. So it could be more like the kaijuu is a species that develops on isolated islands. The only issue with Manatsu is she’s such a delightful character she makes others feel more boring by comparison, especially Minami. Him and Kuroe are cute together but he’s easily the weakest character in the show writing/personality wise.

I suspect that, if they had to justify it, the explosion was from her going from 0 to Kaiju all in one go, e.g. if her tail comes our, or her finger/hands transform first, the full process is less dramatic?

Really hope being on TV doesnt backfire. I know its a comedy and I shouldn't think too much about it....but if my friend ran and left me with a pack of kamodo dragons I'd be pissed! She thinks that Arata is cheating on Kuroe with Harugon. She's also super jealous of Arata because he gets to spend so much time with her. Manatsu is so theatrical; I just love the effort she went through to confront Arata. Also, I'll never get over the fact that her Harugon outfit has a boob window . 😆 Dragging the girls to Kaiju Island just so she could meet Harugon is such a Manatsu thing to do. At least thanks to her, we got to see the three of them in swimsuits! Kuroe's Harugon Priestess outfit and Manatsu's Harugon gijinka outfit look so good! That explains why she asked Rairi to come along. She wanted Rairi's help with makeup and to get those Harugon prosthetics on her. 😆 Kuroe's dance was so cute! I'm so happy she played along. I do wish we got to see her dance in its entirety tho! I do understand Arata's idea of meeting that TV producer so he can say no to their face , but meeting her was a huge mistake. Now she managed to actually bait him using Kuroe. >_ I'm glad we finally get to see Manatsu's backstory and why she's so obsessed with Kaijus. If only she knew that she's currently talking to Harugon , I bet she would freak out. I do wonder how she'll react once she learns the truth. Manatsu finally had her wish granted! I'm surprised she didn't start kissing Harugon's face as soon as she got that close. I do love that moment of Manatsu and Kuroe just stargazing. And we have confirmation of other kaijus! Based on Mama Rinko's flashback, there are more eggs , considering she only took one. It does look like there are a lot of them , but I wonder how many of them are out there who could turn into a human like Kuroe. Now that Arata has made his TV debut , I think things are about to escalate even further. There's no way things are gonna simmer down, just like the TV producer told him. It is funny how instead of transforming Kuroe just passes out after seeing Arata on TV. 😆 EDIT: I just realized that Rairi falling asleep was a reference to the 1962 Godzilla vs King Kong movie, where they made King Kong fall asleep by playing the drums. I love these kinds of references!
