Damn, the male leads in romcoms are usually spineless in one way or another but Minami is taking it to a whole new level. He's letting himself get dragged further into a business that he has no interest in by a producer that has made it abundantly clear that she only cares about the next big production, not about the talents. Dude needs to grow a backbone and tell someone no for once. I thought he had some spine when he told off those bullies before but clearly that's limited to teenage girls.

yeah, i have no idea what he's thinking; he wants to divert attention away from himself by ... going on a press tour and constantly appearing on TV and in other Harugon-related material? all so he can spend more time with his girlfriend by... being too famous to meet in public? and then get fondled by a movie star on a public shoot? like, if he knew Kuroe is Harugon, that's how i've provoke her into destroying the world

he wants to divert attention away from himself b He's trying to divert attention from Kuroe. The attention he gets from the "Kaijuu Ouji" stuff had an effect on Kuroe as she pointed out today during the breakup scene. He was manipulated into thinking the press around him would die down if he leaned into it for a bit. Obviously that isn't happening because the TV producer lady is a terrible manipulative human being and she's profiting off the extra exposure. Minami is just a stupid kid that doesn't understand what is going on.

It’s so frustrating. I get he’s a teen so you can play the “he’s just naive” bit, but he’s not just naive, he’s unbelievably easy to push around. In what world is starring in a movie not about Harugon going to help lower his fame? Also he’s a minor! How is this producer just coercing and manipulating him into going along with these plans? Where the hell are the parents, do they not need consent because he’s a minor?? And why is this actress so interested in a high schooler? I know romcoms usually need some drama for the main couple with misunderstandings and such but this is just ridiculous and I do not like this storyline. I am excited for Kuroe to meet the other kaiju tho, and I love her friends, they really are ride or dies!

Mental weakness is an extremely overused cliche in ACGN for both males & females. Any tax Arata pays, Kuroe pays double. She keeps sabotaging their relationship & you think he must keep having enough mental fortitude for both of them? Creators wrote a crappy cliched scenario having them miscommunicate unnecessarily. At this point, Kuroe can clearly trust him with her kaijuu secret, especially since she's doing a poor job of hiding it.

I probably shouldn't be surprised that Daichi turned out to be a fifth grader . After all, this show has many unusual characters like Kuroe , Manatsu , or Rairi , but still... I was surprised, lol. But I must say that Kuroe and Daichi's relationship felt really nice in this episode . Them playing Minecraft together was fun! On the other hand, Kuroe and Minami 's relationship is in danger . A development like that seems to be almost a mandatory thing in this type of show, but I really don't like it at all. So I hope that next week Kuroe and Minami will be able to talk everything out. Of course, after Kuroe deals with her little sister, who just appeared in Tokyo . Damn it, i was waiting for the sibling to show up the entire ep, but they had to use them as a cliffhanger! Do we think they're going to instantly take human form and be good siblings? Or is Kuroe gonna see them as a target to take out her frustrations on so we actually get a kaiju fight? This show really knows how to subvert expectations sometimes, the red head is in elementary school?!? At least it was fun watching them play not-Minecraft. Betting they're also going to show that the actress is also a good person and that hug was also a misunderstanding.

I don't think she killed hundreds of people. Realistically, it would probably be low double digits in this scenario, but it's plausible that no one died. In this show, I would expect it was no one. She flipped the cruise ship on its side, which is very bad, but at least she didn't destroy the ship entirely. I'm hopeful that exposure to Kuroe can help Akae be able to transform. Would definitely suck if Kuroe's sister just remains a wild kaiju forever.

Do we think they're going to instantly take human form and be good siblings? Or is Kuroe gonna see them as a target to take out her frustrations on so we actually get a kaiju fight? I would be okay with either outcome; on one hand, Kuroe can only go full Harugon with Minami's help, so this would be a prime opportunity for her to reveal the truth to him. On the other, having a kaiju turn into a naked human girl and call Kuroe "big sis" in front of a professional camera crew would certainly take some attention away from Minami.

Ah yes, the next installment in “JUST HAVE A CONVERSATION!” At least this show looks to be actually using it in a meaningful way to explore character development I can see both sides. On one hand, Minami needs to grow a spine. On the other hand Kuro 100% looks like a cheater from his perspective. Personally, though, if I was Minami I would have asked her to elaborate when she said the other guy was a grade schooler. That’s just too bizarre to just ignore. Also, first rom com to have a high body count? Like 100 or so people probably died in the opening scene. Where’s James A. Janisse when you need him smh.
