I am kind of disappointed that we didn't actually get a complete transformation for Akane and Iroha. That was the chance at a first dual transformation. But maybe that is why they kept it for now and we get a real one once they do it individually. One thing that I am wondering about when it comes to history of magical girls is how magic was performed before they had coders that "made the magic". Like did they have to draw the magic on the ground or did they have to do larger rituals? Or even both. Maybe we see a bit of that with the Miko magical girl.

The joke is totally going to be them talking about a potential new coworker rather than romance, yeah? Yeah sounds like it. It was all about hiring a new engineer, aha. Ah, so it’s been half a year since the start of season 1. Poor Kana. Dang. Nice! New magical girls already? – Oh! It’s those two! New outfits for them both too, nice. He was busy with all that for three months, huh? Bro Fun wild goose chase they’re having to go on. What a coincidence.

It's great to see Iroha and Akane back! Especially Iroha; she's cute as hell! Though as much as I understand the need for a Magilumiere uniform, her old magical girl outfit was a lot cuter. At least she kept the glasses! I don't blame Kana for struggling with that interview at first. Not only is she still surprisingly new to this – it's hard to believe she's only been working there for six months – but she's had a bit of a history with interviews going badly before she finally got this job. That said, if I may answer the first question in her place: First, please tell me about your work environment, including your boss and senior employees. They're all incredibly impassioned people. Koshiyaga believes in herself with so much energy and will have so much confidence in you that you'll find it hard not to get confident in yourself too. Nikoyama would obviously be doing this job for free just as happily in order to work with and see Magical Girls and you can feel that love for the craft with how he works with you. Midorikawa brings a healthy dose of optimism to the office. Despite being the sales representative, he's always on the floor getting to know you. Shigemouto has a love for magical girls I've never seen anyone else match. It would be a lie to say you get used to it quickly, but you do quickly understand that even among an office full of that passion, he has the most passion for the craft out of anyone there.

Rare instance of "boy talk" as the boys in the office talk about their ideal partner...engineering partner, that is! Because they're recruiting engineers to better adapt and modify the Alice System moving forward! Although honestly I think coding knowledge and love of magical girls would genuinely be Nikoyama's taste in women! Kana will soon be a Senpai to other Magical Girls! And she also has to take her experience as a newbie about to get her Magical Girl anniversary in six months and engage in an interview where she has to sell the company to people! And try to convey how great the company is in the most natural way possible...even though they are also the most eccentric company. But still, honestly is the best policy when conveying what people are getting into and how special Magilumiere is. Kana is always dressed cutely, but she doesn't need to dress and impress her new kouhai...because they're some familiar faces. Iroha and Akane are joining Magilumiere! Neither could resist the potential in a booming new magical girl company poised to revolutionize the industry! And Akane is as efficient and effective in resigning and joining another company as she is in anything else! Iroha and Akane gel well together as co-workers AND as Magical Girls, complete with new Magilumiere uniforms (Akane's looks better than Iroha's in my opinion)! But the increase in Magical Girls means more work for Niko...which is why it's important they find a new engineer. And after several hours pouring through EVERY applicant, Shigemoto has found his man! Magilumiere is heading for Kyoto and the origin of all Magical Girls! Poor Shigemoto trying to take a nap when Akane has no indoor voice, though she's also running on several sleepless nights spent trying to figure out the perfect itinerary, yet she's as alert as ever. The new engineer hails from KMU, Kyoto Magic University, Hibiki Yaminami is...apparently not that popular on campus. But at least Nikoyama and Shigemoto got to enjoy being around the mecca for Magical Girl research and engineering. An honest-to-goodness shrine and an honest-to-goodness Shrine Maiden Magical Girl in Sakae Tonomori (Manaka Iwami?)! And not only does she bring a more traditional take on the Magical Girl, but it turns out "Hibiki-chan" is her childhood friend who helps out at her shrine! Now everything is coming together!

Good pair of magical women to pull into the team, researcher lady from the first arc this season and the sword lady from the last arc in season one. The shrine miko and her engineer childhood friend are interesting new characters, assuming they hire the engineer it kind of feels like he comes with a free extra priestess themed magical girl to occasionally bring in for extermination work. Hiring somebody who has a connection to the origin shrine for magical girls seems kind of useful in a business politics sense too.

Magilumiere's work place is always vibrant and full of fun. I love these characters so much. Hitomi and Kana were devastated after knowing that the dudes were just talking about recruiting an Engineer not girls lmao Iroha and Akane have become part of Magilumiere.. Was expecting this to happen soon and I'm so glad it did. Sakuragi senpai can't believe her eyes, haha. Boss man really went through all those files for whole 3 months without rest and chose only one applicant out of them.. he's strict. I can't believe they got that many applications in the first place. Hibiki seems to be an interesting and weird character so he will really fit in well with Magilumiere. The miko girl looked younger but was also shown to be a little older so I guess she's actually older than she looks and can transform at will. I really miss those transformations from season 1. We didn't get to see a proper Mahō Shōjo transformation with the outfits for Akane and Iroha's.. it was lackluster what we got. Hitomi and Kana's were so good before. I miss those sequences.

Did the episode got released at a different day...? Anyway, Niko being all wiggly about what type of girl engineer he wants was cute. Hope you find the engineer of your dreams, little dude! Interviews are rough. Kana was put on the spot so of course she would have a hard time. Thankfully Mr. Muscles was a nice guy. That said, they did Niko dirty with that company photo, he looks like a sleep paralysis demon lurking behind everyone! No surprise that Akasaka and Makino joined, because this is anime. The outing brought a little more info about Magical Girls in this world. I like how they started as onmyoji and mikos. Too bad that Niko won't be getting a girl engineer, though!
