I kind of forgot how creative the transformations were. Not just the item, but the whole asthetic depending on their personality and work environment. And I have to be honest, I really like Akasaka's style. Now, if her goggle can measure Kaii power level, I would be immediately sold. Also, Koshiyaga's new broom is great. She just made it a sword, because why not.

Also, Koshiyaga's new broom is great. She just made it a sword, because why not. The episode they got their brooms upgraded was a lot more focused on Kana getting a brand new broom with 6 double-sized manuals, so I assumed that Koshigaya's broom just got some upgrades that leant more into how she liked to fly. So I love that Ginji went the extra mile for her too and gave her a broom that really lets her go as she likes, from transforming into boosters for her feet to transforming into a sword that lets her take Kaii on more directly!

But as we learned, it wouldn't even eat him in the first place. It is a Kaii, but it still has standards. On that note, I wonder if the solution is to add some kind of poison or remote technology to the magic so when it swallows that (as it would want to) then you can destroy it from the inside.

I'm loving the lore that Kaii used to basically be small scale disasters that young magical girls would take care of until they started using magic (or at least got more control over it) and Kaii evolved into more proactive threats! I have the feeling that AST's attempt to destroy this thing is either going to prove ineffective or, more likely, just make things even worse.

The original Magical Girls were miko dealing with incorporeal Kaii, but as the world evolved, so too did Kaii until we see the physical versions being battled now. And now they're mutating even more. Meet a Class C Kaii! A giant blob with a LOT of mouths that are constantly screaming and can EAT magic! Is there any "logical" way to defeat it? Good thing Koshigaya doesn't work on logic. Nice to see Iroha get to flex as a Magical Girl even if none of her attacks do any good, but that's more to how crafty this Kaii is than any knock against her skills. Koshigaya can do a LOT with her broom and its transformations...but is it enough? Especially when the thing starts mutating even MORE? Tsutsumi you piece of @#$%! Injecting more magic to make that thing further mutate so you could sabotage Magilumiere and prop up AST! Even Koshigaya's dad, bad as he is, seems to find this behavior appalling. Can the Kana/Koshigaya team come up with a solution before Tsuchiba shows up and steals the show from them?

Much more complicated plot than last season where they mainly just killed monsters but now they are dealing with a wide ranging conspiracy to deregulate magic to help a bunch of businesses and create more monsters to get them more work, like if the fire dept started fires to give themselves more to put out. That class C monster is freaky though and I wonder if the lady from AST actually can kill it.

Well this episode just brought Magilumiere up from the slump of the first episode. Lovely transformation sequence. Also [Magilumiere theorising] I noticed that in the OP and ED her uniform has the same shoulder stars and golden coat-tail decorations that her outfit lacks right now. It seems to me like she (and the other girl with a similar uniform in both OP and ED) might be joining the team.

Can't wait to see what's next in upcoming 3 episode. However, i have a feeling someone is going to die or be at least close to death. Do they really think that to destroy Magic Eating Grade C or Above Monster who can also mutate, you need more power? That's pretty much recipe for disaster. Sure calling for AST magical girl(MG) might be good call as an emergency but it would be funny if it was a moment/incident where said MG failed her task for the first time and caused the situation to get more serious than it was before.
