Aina's not going to reveal her true feelings to Kohei, of all people, even if he's right on the money. I see the dive shop knows what it's doing by prioritizing which members of the staff should be on camera for a show that's filming on location there and who shouldn't be...even if that means keeping the owner busy so she's not on camera. I guess Kohei is confirming Iori's type for Aina's sake...but big boobs, stellar bod, passionate about a hobby, introducing Iori to a "new world," that sounds like Chisa, doesn't it? I had a feeling there would be a twin switch since Ikegoshi is also voiced by Ryohei Kimura, and of course the only thing that could convince Kohei to get on camera is the promise of an autorgraph Yukari Tamura...I mean, Yurika Mananaka! It's just if Ikegoshi was planning to have Kohei's quirkiness help sell Ikegoshi as an actor...he's getting more than he bargained for. There's also Ai Takahashi (Marina Inoue?) who is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty with amazing thighs! I'm not surprised Iori immediately tried to hook up with her and it was going surprisingly well until Kohei pulled a Kohei and ruined everything by outing Iori as a nudist. My condolences to Ai and the staff for having to put up with Kohei's nudist tendencies, hanging dong, and in general having absolutely no on-screen charisma whatsoever. Ai even has to get surprised by a bat and spirityus in her drink without warning...a bat that KOHEI EATS LIVE. But don't worry, Kohei's buddy Iori has got his back with AI Nana Mizuki...I mean, Kaya-chan! All he has to do is feed Kohei Kaya-chan's voice and he'll do anything! And I do mean EVERYTHING! And it even ended up giving Iori a hero moment to impress Ai! Not that it ended up helping when Kohei once again refuses to wear pants. Was Kohei deliberately sabotaging Iori for Aina's sake? She might still refuse to admit the truth...but Kohei's known from practically day one that she loves Iori.

Ironic that Iori tried impressing Ai to no avail (with Kouhei playing a part in the sabotage) but the one moment he paid no attention to that and genuinely wanted to save her ended up impressing her for real. Not enough to change her mind about going on a date, but still. That twist at the end got me. Thought Kouhei sabotaged Iori just for the luls like the scumbros but turned out he did it for Aina’s sake. Despite his otaku-addled brain, he’s pretty perceptive when it comes to love.

Imagine getting cucked by the guy only interested in 2D loli characters Iori got so mad he got Rinnegan Cakey should've sticked to it. Kohei was actually doing good with the analogies Didnt know Kohei had an exotic taste That was pretty smart but pretty tame revenge imo for what's basically a high effort device. He sure had a lot of time to make that Too bad, girl liked Iori when he wasnt trying too hard Guess Kohei really isnt as dumb as he looks, looking out for Aina like that

Aina pls. I’m going to assume this will lead to people on the chores team trying to get on camera anyways? I can’t laugh that hard because I’m sick at the moment and laughing hurts my throat, but lollllllllllllllll Wait, isn’t he voiced by the same guy as Kohei? Is he gonna have Kohei pretend to be him? Oh boy, he is… Of course Kohei caved the second an autograph from a seiyuu he likes is on the table. Iori “sore demo”! Hahaha hahaha hahaha Oh wow. Is that supposed to be Kohei in the background? This episode is murder on my throat. Are you sure you want to let Kohei get drunk? Sasuga, Kohei… Incredible. Oh god. Of course, Iori himself is too dense to see it.

Funnily enough, Ikegoshi doesn't just look like Kohei, but they share the same voice actor. This could possibly mean that the author/producers don't just intend for them to be lookalikes, but for them to legitimately sound alike even in-universe. Not a manga reader, so I'm guessing this means Ikegoshi is returning in the future. We all know that Mizuki Kaya is voiced by her referential IRL counterpart Mizuki Nana, but Kohei also namedrops another in-universe voice actress: Muranaka Yurika, who, in her very brief voice clip, is voiced by her IRL counterpart Tamura Yukari (Jibril; NGNL, Suzuha; Stein's Gate, Tenten; Naruto)

Missed the last 2 episodes so I figure out to post both of my takes here in Episode 5 thread. Episode 4: The Oceans of Palau For those who doesn't know, Palau is a real island and it's actually closer to Philippines and Indonesia rather than to Japan in distance. It is considered as a popular diving spot so it's no brainer to set up a diving shop there. Technically there's also an anime set in Palau other than Grand Blue, Peleliu: Guernica of Paradise . From the episode you could see they are flying from Narita, transitting in Guam, then fly to Palau. A quick search shows the exact option by flying United since United Airlines is the only airline that goes from Guam and Narita to Palau. The transit lasts either 2 or 8 hours depending on what flight the trio take. Aina took a different flight to Taipei and there is an option for that too. Ainaaaaaaa we miss you!!! The Palau beer is based on Red Rooster Beer, which is a Palauan beer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 5: TV Special (I almost got tricked to thinking this is a TV Special, but turns out it's the title of the episode) Kouhei as a body double. It will either be a regret or a success. He might be destroying Ikegoshi-san's reputation if he shows his true self. Oh, Ikegoshi-san is also voiced by Ryohei Kimura Could be the best episode so far. We finally get the confirmation of who's voicing Iori's aunt. It's Sayaka (Ohara) voicing Sayaka (Kotegawa)! New voice cast includes: Aya Suzaki (Tamako Love Story) as Maki Asami Seto as the diving shop chief, so yeah it's gonna be a whiplash for me personally after hearing a cold Nano in 100GF yesterday. (Nana) Mizuki still voices (Kaya) Mizuki Yukari Tamura as Yurika Muranaka, Rarako's VA Marina Inoue as Ai Takahashi. Missed opportunity to hire Rie Takahashi for this role.
