ドロヘドロ Season2

Kinda crazy that the doc might be the most important character in the show. In the previous season's flashback he's the one who saved Shin, who in turned wrecked the anti sorcerer group so hard, it left the Hole defenseless against sorcerers bullying the muggles. Now it's revealed that he's involved with the guy who might just be the cross eyes boss/ somehow related to Caiman and thus the key reason for the underlying plot of the work.

With those looks I can understand why Kasukabe was able to marry a sorcerer. He was a very attractive man in his prime. Johnson is the best method of transportation. Toothpaste sorcerer might have the weirdest and creepiest ability I have seen yet based on how he creates Ebisu’s clone. Give me the turkey sorcerer over that guy any day. Rewatching Season 1 between episodes and I am glad we got a glimpse of the old jolly Caiman this episode. I know his curent circumstances are obviously going to prevent that but his attitude and voice acting are something I have really missed and one of the things that made me love Dorohedoro at first. The way he said Nikaido so happy in Season 1 was hilarious and put a smile on my face.

The way the flesh joins with the skeleton is kind of awesome lol. Poor Ebisu, the universe wants her to suffer. Nothing ever goes right after Caiman bit off her face. And also, well... I thought the lack of nipples was a sorcerer thing along with Noi, but it just seems to be censorship. Hilarious to get the disgusting creation of a homunculus, or any number of horrifying deaths, but nipples? Nuh uh!

Such a valid crashout from Ai's grampa. Ofc anyone would be pissy 24/7 too if they're always hungry from having food stuck down their throooooaaaat. Fujita may be a dumbass and an asshole, but he genuinely cares about Ebisu. Ebisu just doesn't see it (yet) because she's kinda like Kaiman with too much shit to figure out especially right after regaining (some of) her memories. If only Fujita was a bit more like Nikaido on how to be a supportive partner, I'm sure Ebisu would appreciate him more, but alas he's more doofus than supportive so. Ebisu just really wants to be loved and be treated like the (only child) princess that she is/was after all. RIP Nanna The whole mystery regarding Ai, Aikawa, and Kaiman--it's been so long since I've read the manga I feel like it's a blessing in disguise I don't or can't remember how all that shook out lol

The staff keep surprising me with how much they've improved especially with the second half.\ I genuinely can't tell in some scenes if Ebisu's face is actually a model or a drawing put on a model. Also apparently this episode's CG was fully done in house at Mappa.\ In s1 a lot of the CG were outsourced to studios like Larx (Kengan Ashura) and Graphinica (Kado The Right Answer) but tbf this episode also had a large 2d section so it makes sense that the CG was limited.

It was nice to see more of original Kusakabe and his connection to Ai/Coleman. I found it a little amusing how he was too big for his clinic, complete opposite of the present time.  Ebisu trying to act cool, but Fujita keeps bringing that side out of her was a little amusing to watch. Toothpaste Ebisu was not what I thought I'd see today.  Nikaidou catching a glimpse of Caiman's true head was a surprise, I wonder if it's the effect of him regaining memories or her power.

Well, there the very important reveal of Ai Coleman, the human turned sorcerer by Kusakabe (he sure is the Mr. Worldwide connecting everyone) eventually grows up to be the Cross Eye boss. Nikaido, Caiman and Natsuki have their little moment while just coincidentally in the place the Cross Eye gang works, that's setup. Makes me wonder how Aikawa/Caiman connects with the Cross Eyes, since his marks vanished last episode. Ebisu returns home after partially recovering her memories only to find a doppelganger that scammed her parents, thankfully she can turn into a dinosaur, but its probable that the other one can too next episode.

Everything’s coming to a close it seems. Very spooky that Nikaido saw Aikawa’s head in the dark there before it switching back to Caiman’s. Ending with her saying that was that last time she spoke with “Caiman” was a brutal place to leave off. I need to know! I wonder if the Moth guy also perceived Aikawa when looking at Caiman. I’m very impressed with the pacing of the anime. Every episode answers a few questions and then gives you more to think on. Was it a coincidence that Ai was decapitated? Did he gain a Sorcerer’s spell or create his own? Is Caiman still under a spell now that “Risu’s” cross marks are no longer there? It’s really well-structured.

Ebisu's dad was a devil? Interesting use of toothpaste btw. So it's more or less confirmed that Caiman was the boss of Cross Eyes. Now the question is how he came to be the way he is now. We need info on Risu's magic. I'm still wondering why his head is in Caiman's mouth when his real head was in a box (that has since been revived). Related, what if Caiman put Risu into his mouth now? Would Risu see the Risu in the mouth?
