Is it me or did the clay figure in the house have a jacket like Kaiman's signature leather one?
Also since I come directly from rewatching S1 I remember that Nikaido came up with Kaiman's new name after she found him and he got treated at the hospital, to which he said something along the lines of: "I like that name, maybe it reminds me of my previous one." So... Coleman/Kaiman? Plus at the S1 climax, a mysterious figure cut open Nikaido's back to expose En's contract paper which Asu later removed. Asu later wondered who tf was there apart from Kaiman and Nikaido who did that... or if there was no one else after all.
I think I'm starting to have a working theory here. So this Coleman guy wants to be the strongest sorcerer. He asks Kusakabe to experiment on sorcerers and he funds the Cross-Eyes in the sorcerer's world which he uses to collect strong sorcerer's corpses. Heads specifically. Perhaps then, since Aikawa seems pretty strong and Risu appears to have some sort of revival magic, he endeavored to combine both, or it happened by accident, unto himself. The resulting being was Kaiman. Someone who didn't actually exist previously, and is a combination of Coleman, Aikawa, and Risu.
...I have no idea how Ebisu fits into this. Perhaps she is just a red herring. Her magic only transforms herself after all. Or perhaps not, since we also know from S1 that she used to sell her smoke in stores. Perhaps Coleman came into possession of it, becoming interested in its properties.

それにS1のクライマックスで謎の人物が二階堂の背中を切ってエンの契約書を露出させた件。アスが後で「カイマンと二階堂以外に誰がいたんだ？」って疑問に思ってたけど…もしや本人たちだけじゃなかったのか。
俺の仮説：コールマンは最強の魔法使いになりたくて、草壁に魔法使いの実験を依頼し、十字目を資金援助して強い魔法使いの死体（特に頭）を集めてた。で、アイカワは強く、リスゥは蘇生魔法を持ってるから、その二つを自分に融合させようとしたか、偶然そうなった結果がカイマン。コールマン＋アイカワ＋リスゥの合成存在で、元々実在しなかった存在ってわけだ。
エビスはどう関わるんだろうな…変身魔法しか使えないし、単なるミスリードか？でもS1で煙を売ってたって情報もあるし、コールマンがその煙を入手して特性に興味を持った可能性もある。普通くん+67

S1 finale we got a Risu and Aikawa flashback that starts with Aikawa stealing food from the cafeteria, hanging out on the rooftop with Risu and then disappearing as soon as he gets a headache, which Risu remarks happens a lot. And then in this episode we introduced Aikawa eating during class and not stopping even when he was fighting that shithead teacher.

Dokuga refusing to kill him specifically because “It’s too dangerous”. So it’s not something where he needs Risu around for something, it’s that he knows bad things will happen if Risu gets killed. Presumably because he knows what happened the last time Risu got killed. And I don’t see what that could possibly be other than Risu having a type of magic that activates when he gets killed.
Also fits with how Risu can’t produce any smoke at all, usually the useless sorcerers can make at least a little.

In the flashback when he's at the school the teacher mentions that rare sorcerers have this power and Risu says something like 'if anyone had a power like that, the Cross-eyes would never leave them alone'. What if killing Risu is what activates a curse, and that's how Caiman ended up getting cursed with the lizard head and that's why Risu is in his mouth? And perhaps if Coleman and/or Aikawa were there when Risu got killed, that's how Coleman/Aikawa became Caiman? The red dude you saw earlier in the episode that got punched in the face changed Chouta to look like Nikaidou and then helped her and Caiman escape.
I can't remember exactly, but I think he too was undergoing the transformation to be a devil and decided to go against everything to help out Nikaidou.

It wasn't that Asu favored Nikaido, its that Chidaruma is interested in powerful sorcerers.
Last season during the whole Blue Night event, when Nikaido shows up in the Sorcerers world it becomes known that she possesses time travel magic, which is considered the rarest magic possible. Its why En wants a contract with her & why Chidaruma hands her a business card personally.
Asu is being punished for concealing her existence & helping her escape to Hole before Chidaruma knew about her.

I think you’re combining two plot lines. In the past, Noi was 3 days from becoming a devil, but decided to use her magic to save Shin and didn’t become one in the process. It’s explained in season 1 during the backstory of how they became partners

Back in S1 when Nikado suggested the name "Caiman" it made him stop and think, saying to sounded familiar. We all know how similar 'Caiman' and 'Coleman' sound when spoken in a japanese dialect, therefore he must be Grandpa Coleman's grandson!

I didn't realize how much I missed this anime until I started watching the second season. I quickly skimmed through the first season to jog my memory, which helped a bit. But imma need to watch a proper recap or something to remember more cause this shit is so fucking crazy and I love it! Just getting blasted with so much information and quality animation and I still need more!
