The scene of Kaiman chewing this episode really solved one of my minor gripes with the animation in season 1.
It was the fact that Kaiman's face moved top much like a puppet, but in this episode the animators really made an effort to portray his head as an organic part of the body.
Also the expression work in general so far has been a huge step up.

Didn’t feel the pacing issues I felt in episode 1 with this one so maybe I was panicking and too pessimistic. Boy did I miss Caiman and very happy to see Natsuki animated. Hope the anime-onlies love her because she is a treasure. Also everything related to the landlord was hilarious and had the dark humor that makes Dorohedoro great.

This episode was brutal. The animation has elevated to greater heights than season 1. Noi and Shin are the best partners for life. So Kasukabe was using his wife's name all along and she is a devil now.. so many surprises.
The Cross eyes dudes were insane. These dudes were nothing like the other cross eyes dudes that we have seen so far.
Risu saving Ushishimada from the landlady inadvertently was peak lmao
Chota is having fun as Mikaido with En. He's gonna face his wrath when En gets to know that it ain't the real Mikaido.
Caiman is getting close to Risu and the cross eyes dudes and also to the mystery behind who he is.
