ドロヘドロ Season2

We are so back, love this cast of maniacs. Humor was great, particularly loved Noi just punching that one dude’s head *off* so hard it bounced around like a tennis ball. Fun seeing Noi and Shin on the back foot, they usually just pretty effortlessly crush their enemies. Also I know my Dorohedoro pretty well so I can answer questions if you’ve understandably forgotten shit in the six years since Season 1.

Yeah 4 years stuck in Attack on Titan jail was 100% worth it cause the CG animation has SERIOUSLY improved. A main staff member from Beastars and Trigun is also working on this season, so I feel that also has something to do with the CG character models being way more expressive this season. Also I love how after 6 years Thirteen still hasn't been given a CG model despite how much he hangs out with the gang, it's weirdly fitting imo😭

Boy, that escalated quickly. But that's exactly what I love about this series--it just doesn't (know how to) hold back. And to *demon*strate that fact was Shin casually removing the broken glass on Kasukabe's noggin, then acting all surprised why the dude's not waking up right away. Like, bro, you just caused the dude some substantial blood loss, ofc he's not fudgin okay! These characters are absolutely mental and we just can't help but love them for it LMAO

We’re finally back in chaos! And it’s with *3* whole episodes right out of the gate! We are so blessed today. - I’m so glad (K)NoW_NAME is doing the OP/ED for this season again. I think I like S1’s OP more, but this OP is still a total banger. - That’s… fair enough? Everything else seems to be pretty weirdly conservative, though. - Toilet paper is serious business. - So these guys are the *elite* of the Cross Eyes? - Funny how Noi’s the one who says she doesn’t need one of the mermaid ladies when she’s the one who at least greeted the one who came up to her while Shin scared his off with a glare. - Poor Jonson, that room must *reek*. - KASUKABE IS MARRIED?! - I reiterate, poor Jonson. - Welp. - Okay, so this *is* the right building… - Noi showed up at the perfect time. - …seriously? - Aw shit… - Damn… - Well I guess that’s one way to weaponize vomiting up blood? - So Kasukabe was his wife’s name… - Off to watch episode 2 now!

Im so happy this anime is back. Dorohedoro is such a unique and special anime. I can tell that the animators really love the manga and put a lot of time and effort into making this look so amazing. I had to rewatch the first season last week in preparation for season 2. Loved rewatching the first season and noticing a lot of stuff I missed the first time around. Also, (K)now\_Name 's music is GOATED.

How did i not know a second season was coming out?!! This was a great surprise. I definitely need to finish re-watching the first season though. I remembered bits and pieces but when I tried to start the first episode from season 2, I realized how much I needed a refresher course. I'm about halfway through the first season now and even forgot how much humor was in this show. The scene in ep 7 where Fujiata gives Ebisu the "I ❤️ HOLE" shirt really had me 🤣🤣 There are just so many little side things (and big things) that make this series great, like En's mushroom magic, or how he babies Kikurage.

It’s just finally realized that I had never actually watched Dorohedoro a few days ago, having confused the name with a different show. Can’t believe I’d overlooked this crazy wildness and its fantastic world building and characters. Anyhow had been binging the first season just in time to start this second season this morning. I’m hooked. And even though I just watched it I’m also confused as certain details slipped by me. Like I mainly can’t recall what the story is with the guy still walking around looking like the guy I thought our lizard headed protagonist used to be. (Other guy with a spiky head who’s also a good knife fighter, checking on the cross eye gang.) Was thinking massive he’s a persistent doll made from the main guy’s face in his mouth a while back but now I’m not sure if I’m misremembering. Ah well. Don’t want to backtrack and rewatch any episodes yet so I’ll just go with the flow and figure things out later. Such a fun show. I seriously love the characters and the strong bonds between the partner pairs. And Ebisu’s quirky existence.

I don't really remember much of what happened in Season 1, although I remember finding it bizarre but for some reason I didn't remember how much gore there was.  I remember most characters though thankfully. I remember liking Shin and Noi's relationship, so it's nice to see Shin going to rescue her.  Also Kusakabe's past appearance looks good, I don't remember if a reason was stated why he's like this now in S1. I don't remember why Nikaidou is acting like this now though, that was weird lol.
