I LOVE that Oda brought back the idea that weapons can eat devil fruits. Shamrock's sword having the Cerberus fruit is so badass. I wonder if any of the Straw Hats will feed their weapons a devil fruit. What if Usopp got a DF for his slingshot? It's kind of already alive, isn't it?

I don't think we've ever seen a plant eat a devil fruit, but we've seen animals eat them with no problem. Hell we've seen inanimate objects eat them with no problem. I think the devil fruit gives a soul or a consciousness to the objects, which is why we have only seen zoan type fruits. Usopp's slingshot is already a living creature with a consciousness, so theoretically it could eat any type of devil fruit. I've always been interested in how to kill a devil fruit object. If you break the gun does the dog also die? Are it's magical devil fruit organs somehow damaged? Cuz that dog in alabasta was sneezing, implying it has a nasal passage and lungs which produce mucus.

I dont think it will happen because i doubt is something easy to do,probably only lilith knows how to but i dont think she has the equipment necessary to it,or a zoan devil fruit uneaten and handy
