Is it confirmed that a break is coming at the end of the month? Last week Toei released a trailer for upcoming stuff and they included a couple of shots for things that happen 5 chapters after the one that was adapted in today's episode. They even introduced the VAs for new characters that appear then so it'd be weird to do that if they won't actually appear this season. Maybe they'll speed up the pacing (which has been 1 chapter per episode in Elbaph) and adapt 5 chapters in 3 episodes to get there but looking at the preview for the next episode it doesn't look that way.

Having a 3 month break inbetween each cour is far better for the pacing then having to release 26 episodes, not to mention for the production not having to push out an episode for 26 weeks straight. Releasing 2 cours continously would absolutely have an effect on planning for future cours. It also just makes infinitely more sense business wise to have it split up so one piece doesn't stop airing for 6 months but only 3 instead so the gap between content is smaller. The announcement during Egghead seemed to indicate as much, and that's been the general assumption since until now, some people are saying otherwise because of the recent trailer but that doesn't really say much since Cour 2 has been in production since before the break either way.

Did bonney just casually climb a 100ft chair without using her powers? Also how...does..a human..impregnate..i mean.. HOw? Gerd still top tier tho I guess I'm the only one way to hates the new outfits mostly because they make 0 sense/look weird. Well at least the new ones are better but luffy/zorro/sanji/ussop? Nah. Gunko VA is unexpected. I Really thought she was going to get more of a young voice but I guess she's actually a lot older than she looks so`. Still a good choice

Chopper, Bonney, Lilith, and Robin are still checking out the library. Saul introduces them to Biblo, the Librarian of the Owl Library, who Lilith suspects ate the Growth Growth Fruit, which allows it to enlarge any books that enter it’s vicinity. Luffy and Usopp play with some kids, but the COWARDS all get scared because Luffy swings them faster. COME ON, GET A DAMN BACKBONE! Well at least Collun has one, because he immediately attacks Luffy, and Luffy made sure not to actually hit him. We learn that Collun is Ms. Ripley’s son and the father is a human who for some reason has chosen not to marry Ripley, so Ripley is his common-law wife instead. Luffy gets hungry and goes over to the library, but Robin, Franky, and Chopper choose to stay in the library, as well as Bonney and Lilith, with those two intending to get their residence permits in Elbaph so they can stay here. Also Franky is staying and earlier, he discovered what seems to be the oldest Jewel Tree Adam and he wants to look more into it. The rest of the crew go to the banquet, in which their accomplishments regarding the giants are acknowledged and appreciated by everybody else. Stansen personally thanks them for freeing him from slavery back on Sabaody. Then Chief Jarul, who is 408 years old, introduces himself, but Luffy and Usopp freak out because there’s a sword through the dude’s helmet, so that obviously raises some concerns. Lastly, the intruders from the last episode are in Aurust Castle near the Western Village in Elbaph asking two guards about the location of Loki. They refuse to tell them, so the woman in pink robes uses some kind of power to put one of the giant guards to the ground, and it’s said in the preview we’ll learn her identity in the next episode. I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE MORE ONE PIECE!

Interesting. I don't usually read the manga but also noticed that the bone gag with Brooks, luffy being petulant about his hunger, and the zoro sanji clash was added. Every now and then, I always thought certain scenes seem out of place, overplayed or seems a bit immature considering the arduos journey they've endured together but I just shruked my shoulders and said whatever. Since i've mostly watched the anime, I wonder how many mischaracterizations I have. Like i genuinely thought zoro and sanji were always clashing. Makes me feel like I've been watching two piece all along. THE TWO PIECE IS REALLLL 😂 I might need to start reading the manga as well

I didn't label it as mischaracterizations. I posed an inquiry I didn't have the answer to because of my ignorance of the manga. For all I know, this is the one time that the gag was shown where it wasn't drawn in the manga. If it's not the only time, then the natural progression of questions is what's the amount of times the gag has been used in the anime vs the manga and more importantly, where those gags were used in the manga. If the ratio is overwhelming and the gag is used in specific conditions in the manga wheras the anime is just throwing it anywhere they need to pad out time, you can then ask, does the portrayal shift how the character is meant to be percieved. Maybe it's a yes, maybe its a no. You can extract those questions for other points of contention like the zoro/sanji clashes, sanji pervert scenes, and so on. It can very well be a mischaracterization but I sure wouldn't be the person that's able to point that out
