Fun fact: When this came out in the manga, I remember using an inflation calculator to see how 100 years of inflation would've affected a similar sum in US dollars and got a remarkably similar number. Can't remember exactly what it was, but it was super close. I'd have checked with the yen as well, but they don't actually have 100 years of inflation data to check because they weren't tracking it that far back

Why are they concerned about giants who mentioned Hajrudin is their leader? The dude works for Luffy. I liked the eyecatches and Loki's intro (and the Vivi tease) though. This was the best of the return episodes aside from the first one with Shanks' crew

Something that I was reminded of this episode, Chopper is normally in his hybrid form and what we see when Nami is riding him is his true non devil fruit form. We see it so rarely and between the minks and fishmen I tend to forget Chopper is just a normal reindeer without his fruit.
この回で思い出したんだが、チョッパーって普段は人獣型なんだよな。ナミが乗ってる時の姿が、悪魔の実抜きの本来の姿。あまりに出番少ないし、ミンク族や魚人もいるから、チョッパーが実を抜きにしたらただのトナカイっての忘れがちだわ。2ちゃん
