the art for the opening and ending are so good. the ending animation is what i have missed from pre time skip one piece. just slice of life from the straw hats in the ship. i swear if they release a spinoff if the show only showing the days they are at sea, i would pay to watch it

Yeah, I felt the opening really fits the song very well. The animation really shows how grandiose / luminous Elbaph, as it is something that was conveyed across the entire One Piece anime. I really loved how they put a lot of thought on the scenes/storyboarding, as it fits the lines being sung. In addition, the theme / lighting is pretty well done, and kept the quality standards from the Egghead openings. What I wonder now is if they will continue the trend of doing multiple versions of the opening. If I were to imagine a version 2, I think the chorus's scenes may evolve slightly. In the current version, I felt they did a good job of not revealing too much but also keep the person wondering, who is that? I really love how subtle they inserted bits and pieces here and there... but I am an anime-only, so I don't really know yet what they are, but I can kinda guess.
確かにOP映像は曲とめっちゃ合ってたよね。エルバフの壮大で輝かしい感じがアニメ全体を通して伝わってくる感じがした。シーンやストーリーボードも歌詞に合わせて考えられてて良かった。あとテーマやライティングもしっかりしてて、エッグヘッド編のOPのクオリティはそのまま継承されてたね。 で、気になるのはOPのバージョン違いをこれからもやってくれるかどうかだよね。もしバージョン2が来るならサビのシーンがちょっと変わるかもしれないな。今のバージョンは情報を出しすぎずに「このキャラ誰？」って思わせる絶妙なバランスが良かった。あと細かい伏線をさりげなく入れてるのも好き。俺はアニメ勢だから正体はわかんないけど、なんとなく予想はつくかな。普通くん+10

This seemed like an OG One Piece episode on acid with the original Five. Pretty timely for live action fans to join in without yet having to take into account the members that joined later. The main episode wasn't much this week, so the talking points are the new OP by AiNA THE END and the new ED by 36km/h. I really liked AiNA's song for Dandadan, but it had to live up to Creepy Nuts from Season 1. No real pressures with One Piece and it's many many OPs, it went really well with the animation building up the scale of Elbaph. The ED as mentioned was slice of life on the Thousand Sunny with a few callbacks (my favourite was Usopp impersonating Nico Robin again).
ワイ的には最初期の5人でワンピースやったらエグい回になったなって感じやわ。実写版ファンが後から加入したメンバー考えずに飛び込むにはちょうどええタイミングやろ。 今週の本編はあんま進まんかったから、話題はAiNA THE ENDの新OPと36km/hの新EDやな。Dandadanの曲は良かったけど、シーズン1のCreepy Nutsと比べられて大変やったわ。ワンピースはOP多いから気楽やし、エルバフのスケール感ある作画に合ってて草。EDはサウザンドサニー号での日常回でちょっとした過去ネタもあって（ワイのお気に入りはウソップがまたロビンの真似してたとこやわ）。2ちゃん+18

Great visuals and OP song. Pacing is sadly as cursed as ever and will probably never be better even with the breaks between. Honestly the most annoying thing this episode was actually Usopp, why is he such a bum post timeskip he doesn’t even use his slingshot like do something bro, even Luffy said he could have beaten the cat and he was giving excuses.
確かに映像とOP曲は良かった。ただ、相変わらずの進行速度の遅さは呪われてるとしか思えないな。休憩を挟んでも改善されないだろう。 今回のエピソードで一番イライラしたのはウソップだよ。なんで彼は2年後からこんなに役立たずになったんだ？パチンコすら使わないし、ルフィでさえ猫に勝てたって言ってたのに、彼は言い訳ばかり。このキャラクターの成長が描かれていない点は、制作陣の意図が読みにくいところだ。考察くん+8

Animation is good but there's also not a ton going on currently to judge that yet. Pacing is still a chapter per episode but they're doing a better job of filling it out logically instead of stalling. But again, it's early and not a ton going on yet.
