I think this show is underrated this season. The worst parts of it are the janky cgi animations but outside of those its not even poorly animated. Miku going right back in for another pokky after the accidental kiss is very impressive. The jealousy for her friend really gave her a buff in the love game, like the next episode title says she's unstoppable now. I had little hope early in the season for them to get together but now I wonder if they'll do it by the finale.

So it seems like the only game more involved (dangerous) than the "Love Game" is the "Pocky Game." Oh wow, starting off with Yukiya and Miku doing the pocky game of all things! And their lips are getting DANGEROUSLY close to each other. I love how Kazane is using her student council room for lunch with Miku AND to get tips on the Love Game. She has to find a way to play that doesn't end with her punching Kakeru like she's Kenshiro! Luckily Miku responds well to girls trying to do their best in love and she knows the best tips for flirting. So Miku can ALSO play the chad stud who does kabedons on girls! I guess she learned from Yukiya. Though is she secretly living out her M fantasies through the Love Game? Either way, watch out for that vice grip from the Blood-Soaked Lily, or you're liable to get reunited with your dead grandma early. Points to Kazane for avoiding punching Kakeru, even if she couldn't commit to that hug enough for him to recognize it for what it was. But he's still very caring and attentive to Kazane, which is nice. Did Miku think she could so easily secure a romantic omurice message from Yukiya? Naive Miku! Naive! Akane just HAD to have lip gloss connected to the series Yukiya is really into...and she just wouldn't leave him alone. Miku would ordinarily be happy that someone noticed how great Yukiya is...until Yukiya ends up calling another girl (or probably more specifically her lip gloss) "cute." The one thing Miku has been trying to get him to say this whole time. This is a defcon red moment! Ah yes, the "pokkito game." A very dangerous and outlandish game that two members of the opposite sex can play! Obviously Kazane won't do it, but that's why she has Miku to be able to do it and report back to her! And Miku is just desperate enough now to do it. Yukiya can definitely tell something is off with Miku, especially for how serious she's acting. She's in it to win it! Even if the both of them committing to it so hard...ends up leading to their lips touching!!! And Miku wants round 2!!!!

The pocky game at last! Honestly the reason I'm a source reader on this at all on account of seeing people going apeshit over this part of the manga on Twitter and becoming curious about it. I however had forgotten how much the student council president had been involved in prompting it, so good work prez. Maybe I'm imagining things but I feel like they upped the animation quality a fair bit for the critical parts this episode.

Starting the chapter with a in media res to the Pocky Game? This episode is crazy! Kazane almost sent Miku over to the other side! Come on, control yourself! You're the one who wants to make Kakeru see you in a cute way! Let your master teach you how to play without harming them! It's great that Kazane and Kakeru are able to bond in their own ways. Just don't be destructive, ok? Miku's getting jealous that Yukiya's talking with other girls. Her plan to be more cute is getting harder! Akane's just vibing with him, but it's happening so naturally that Miku is very jealous! Kazane came to tell Miku what a lewd game the Pocky Game was and asks her to report on it. Oh no. And now Miku calls Yukiya over for the Pocky Game! And they ended up kissing! Playing it once was already hard enough... but here she is asking for more?!?

Bruh! How can the episode start like that?! Nice to see that Miku is giving Kazane Love Game tips to use on Kakeru. I hope the prez gets her childhood friend to notice her... next time as Kazane didn't have the courage to do what Miku showed her and had to settle for getting her finger taped up that she hurt in a tsundere moment. You'll get him next Kazane. Maybe. I get what Miku was going for with the ketchup at the café, but she really walked into that one. Yukiya has gotten too good at the Love Game to fall for that. The jealousy she got from Akane even though Akane made it clear she wasn't trying to steal her hubby gave her a buff in the Love Game. She wasn't just bold enough to challenge him to the Pocky Game. Pocky rarely actually ends in so it was cool that their lips touched the first time. I may have underestimated the buff Miku got because she immediately demanded a rematch. Bruh! How can the episode end like that?!

Damn Miku is being a lot bolder after getting jealous, she's even being persistent about it after their lips touching. Yukiya is definitely not prepared lol.  Kazane calling Miku out for being a masochist was so funny, she does get happiest when Yukiya comes on a bit too strong lol.  Has Yukiya really not called her cute outloud within these 9 episodes? I would have thought it happened on their date at least.

Feels weird seeing the beginning of this episode again after the Crunchyroll fuckup with Agents of the Four Seasons on Saturday. True Tsundere with unintentional murder in her hands. And I can already tell the student council president is a great addition to the cast. Oh is this the arc where other girls start to like Yukiya and it freaks Miku out? I guess it has been long enough injecting that trope makes sense. Hm maybe not, though Miku sure is flustered, poor girl. lol Yukiya not figuring out it was because another girl asked after she tried to get him to join a bunch... brother you are dense . Miku with the pocky in her mouth is a fucking defcon level cuteness attack, damn girl you're a Weapon of Mass Cuteness. So close. dang it. was hoping for another smooch this week. REMATCH!?!?!?! She is going to destroy Yukiya.

The 2 accidentally kissed & Miku wants a rematch probably for an excuse to kiss him again via the Pokitto game. Akane really went & flirted w/ Yukiya despite knowing Miku likes him just to rile her up. She even convinced him to make an Instantgram account. Kazane nearly reunited Miku w/ her grandma during practice. Kakeru was like almost proposing to her w/ him bandaging her sprained finger. At least Kazane didn't hit him. Miku has a cute pout.

I am somewhat more invested now in the president's relationship with her friend than in the relationship of the main couple lol. I still dont get why the MCs keep pushing away their real feelings, it seems that is mostly because the author just wants it. The 3D animations are atrociuos, I get that this anime doesnt seem to have a huge budget but they really detract of the whole experience of the show.

Think them being childhood friends is the thing that really holds them back tbh, besides their insecurity. It can become quite a nerve-wracking experience since it risks the friendship. What if the other truly doesn't feel the same way? It gets awkward and might lead to some sort of distance, eventually losing the bond precisely because of the decision to confess. So can understand why despite the show clearly presenting them to be so into each other lol. It's already rough if something out of your control develops with a friend, especially if it didn't start that way since feelings are quite a b*tch (based on experience and needs a lot of maturity to handle), what more if it's a childhood friend whom you've known since you were little and practically shared a life with. The risks are quite high since you are losing all those years. Though the same could be said for the gains if you truly feel that way for each other.
