I see Miku gives all the deetz on the Love Game and her relationship with Yukiya to her deceased grandma, so said deceased grandma can also hear Miku freak out and be a nervous wreck at the prospect of Yukiya kissing her! Yukiya, for his part, is also freaking out over how extra and intimate their date went. But don't worry, he would never just up and kiss her! Even he knows that would be a bit much! Not that Miku knows that. So what ARE the limits to the Love Game? And if there are no limits, that means ANYTHING is on the table, right? Not that either of these two are willing to concede anything, or let their mask slip, even if only these two idiots in love could act this way to each other. Even as they mutually imagine doing lewd things to each other...and there's nothing lewder than handholding! Even if it transitions into an impromptu wrestling match and an impromptu kabedon! Miku's "big sis" best friend Nacchan is bustier than Miku but committed to helping her spend time with Yukiya! Even if she's kind of clunky in making it happen, but it's the thought that counts! Nacchan is trying really hard to be a successful woman, and she's at least the smartest in their class so she's got that going for her! What are Yukiya and Miku going to do alone together while studying in the library? Nothing! Because both of them are too self-conscious about the other now that anything goes in the Love Game. But at least they can both take solace that neither will ever do anything to hurt the other emotionally. Ah yes, an after-school date! The perfect opportunity for Miku to get some much-needed payback against Yukiya! And taking him to the bane of any introvert's existence: a trendy coffee shop! Too bad for Yukiya that all the knowledge Miku's uncle gave him about coffee is virtually no help, so Miku is definitely taking the lead in this date! But it turns out this was just a roundabout way of Miku flirting with Yukiya AND repaying him for how much he went out for their prior date. And yet another opportunity for people to call them out for being the obviously cute couple that they are! How else can you describe it when Yukiya treasures the kind message Miku wrote him or Miku the...less than stellar caricature Yukiya drew of her with nothing but love?

I know that the Kaguya-sama comparisons are obvious, but they really got the names backwards. This makes Kaguya-sama look more like a game and this is what "Love is War" is really like. Like, these guys heard "all is fair in love and war" and were like "but does it have to just be one of the two?" I'm really glad I picked this up. I think the show struggles with the fact that it is very easy to get a premise like this wrong... Done poorly this show would be painful to watch, but they get it right.

It's funny that they both bluffed at each other that they could take anything. They even did double hand holding! But just the thought of something happening was enough to make them anxious as what could come next! They couldn't even handle studying next to each other! Moegi was so kind to bring them together, but then she got caught up in her own world. Well, you did your job, I'm sure you can be successful in your own world too! I didn't expect a Zhuge Liang reference here. Well, it looks like Miku's quite the strategist then! Miku brought Yukiya to Starbucks to treat him. Such delicious snacks. And hey, that barista noticed that the two of them are absolutely a couple! Heck yeah! What could be cooking next chapter, hm? A Childhood Friend who comes in the morning? That's great!

They both play mind checkers with each other, and both end up losing in the end. It was such an interesting date she had to tell grandma all about it. > Sorry Grandma I lit too much incense. He did that all on his own and dragged you along for the ride. But I won't fault you for how you feel like you need to repay him for it regardless. This really is the "Are they lovers?" "Worse they're stupid" anime and I love it. Of course after they both confirm anything goes their minds both immediately jump to sexual things. Nacchan is a great friend. She knows Miku is down because she hasn't been able to do talk to the boy she's down bad much today so sets up an opportunity for them to talk. That after-school café date was so freaking cute. I wonder how long until he realizes that reason she's so happy and grinning all the time when she's talking about trivial stuff is because she's with him. Or that that reason she bothered is *because* she knows he he wouldn't want her to because he doesn't know how to accept things. Based barista for appreciating her hair style telling them what's up. And Miku, my sister in Christ, that is how literally **everyone** sees you two lol. Then you add in those notes that they "totally did not care about at all" and we're reaching levels of sweetness that was previously only seen in Angel Next Door. Just like with Second Prettiest, y'all better blow this up so we get more season.

Miku: "He took me on the most cliche lovey-dovey date ever and maybe wanted to kiss me, but do you think he actually like-like's me?" This whole aishiteru game thing has got to be the most 5D mental gymnastics premise ever, and I don't know if it's stupider that they think it'll work as a fig leaf, or the fact that it actually does. Either way, I wish the best of luck to those goobers, though not too much luck because it's hilarious.
