The confession in the restaurant and everybody cheering on Kakeru was the comedic peak this episode, and Yuuko sending the video to Koharu was the cherry on the top. But then no reaction from Koharu for days. I'm sure there must be a good reason why she went radiosilent. Maybe she caught a cold from the rain?!

I really want this show just to be about their happy relationship showing how being blind changes the usual dynamics.

I'll take that hopium, the whole show makes us think she is in danger but actually she is just normal and that's part of the lesson to not treat blind people like they are fragile. breathes deeply

I've been watching a lot of older romance recently, and I have really started to notice than romance anime in general (well the good ones) have extraordinary pacing compared to many other types of anime. You have clear conflict and resolution or cliffhanger in every episode as the characters are growing or the dynamics are shifting episode to episode. It's also the genre with the least exposition from what I've noticed.

Knowing nothing of this show outside of this episode, I feel like she is just going through a bucket list. Like that bookmark is her bucket list of things and like "Kissing the one I love. Launching Fireworks." are on it. We find her condition progresses more to her brain or something ..... and bam Your Lie in April.

Just to be clear, I know nothing about the souce material either. But we don't know how she became blind, just that she wasn't born that way. So something happened. And the show keeps dropping ominous hints that she doesnt' have long left. So I agree, that some condition blinded her and it's slowly killing her.

Good kiss setup by Koharu, it was a good time to go for it. I'm not sure if the friends are evil, helpful, or both with that video incident. I was starting to wonder if they were going to get banned from the restaurant but then they all cheered for the confession so I'm sure all is good.
