What a fun show, I enjoyed it so much. My shipping senses are tingling with regards to Lock and Philly, and I think the king agreed considering how she got assigned to him for supervision. She got romantic interest type characterization and moments that never really happened with Celliss or Sia. It's nice to have a church that completely escapes the typical evil church plot twist, and I like that the queen got a nice OP moment of her own while shielding the capital. Nice enough ending overall in my book. You can tell there's more story with the vampires and the dark gods but this is probably a decent place to leave it if they never make a season two.

Someone called it last week with draining the piece of the God that was near Luck for keeping him alive. And of course that let him steal another spell, not that it was the one that let him win. I assume he didn't survive the spell he used to kill the Dark God though lol. Thankfully I don't get the impression he can ONLY learn magic from tanking a hit from it. I'd say my one complaint with the show is Philly seems like an interesting character and we got so little time with her. Ah well.

The furry ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡° ) of a beastgirls enjoyer runs rampant! I love them as much as you guys, but it would definitely need a bit of work and hoop hopping for them to be slotted into love interests, yes even Sia. The shy glasses type is also low on my lists, and she was rather suddenly introduced, but she does poses best qualification, however basic she is. But hey, it was never mentioned that she even is a love interest, so who knows how it'll develop and who we might encounter if this gets continuation.

I only just realized now, the whole time when the kingdom is getting invaded by vampires, is there no one else competent to handle the threat?? Like, I understand Luck's old party want to help to return what he did with his 10 year last stand but like, during those 10 years did none of them find suitable replacements to fight monsters? We only got the Adventure's Guild daughter, a beastkin, a demonkin boy, and a chicken as backup? Are there no other Adventurers or guards to help fight? But overall, the show was pretty alright when Luck got to show his OPness. I also liked that the other characters were strong in their own right with Celliss being able to hold her own multiple times without a sword. Would like to know why all the vampires though...

Oh wow I wasn't expecting the original art style to be that much better than the one they used on the anime lol. That being said, the major thing I kept thinking throughout this episode (the whole anime to be fair, but more specifically this episode) is that I really love how much the hero party loves and view each other as a family. After watching so many isekais/fantasies doing the whole "op mc being kicked from the hero party" trope over and over, having a show where they actually value and respect each other is so refreshing, even if most of the story here was pretty basic, it was really enjoyable because of that

If we ever get a season 2,(which I really hope we do) I will def be there. This was a really fun anime to watch, def deserved better animation. Good job to all the people who did work on it tho. Still wish we could've seen more of philly, I really liked her outfit when she was spreading the flowers. Eric is a W wingman, intentionally placing philly with luck was such a smart move. I have a feeling goran was in on it too. Im glad they didn't make luck super OP after gaining a new ability. They actually made the final boss feel like a challenge for luck. Again, I really hope we get another season. But based off how they ended it and the original Art at the end, it's going to be a while till we get another season. I am definitely going to check out the manga in the mean time.

The show was alright. I liked how they treated the party members. The show was tilted into Lock's favor, but there was a nice balance that was maintained. The two less-experienced party members got coaching from the former hero party and they took the advise to heart. I kind-of like that better than they instantly becoming as strong as the hero party members. I do hope that they'll grow into being as strong as the hero party For a while, I thought it was Lock and Philly living together by themselves, and "oh my!", but that was averted.

I was initially pegging this show as a 6, it turned to a 9/10 for me. I really thought his old party was the usual nasty ones, and that the current King wife cheated the MC, but that never happened. The Legendary Party cared both for each other and those weaker than them. I really want to see how this turns up (MangaUp has the manga) in the furture. The opening and closing (specially) were adorable.

In the end, I think this anime would have been better served as a game. The battles in the end very much followed the hack and slay style: Hordes of seemingly non-intelligent low level mobs to clear The evil god being basically a potted plant in terms of mobility (such things are often done for sake of balancing - imagine a Souls Like where the boss just AoE's your whole platform... not much you can do there) The boss has a quite limited set of pattern of attacks You fight till the ultimate is finished charging, and win with a cutscene For an anime on the contrary, you'd expect more of an army style battle: The guild master makes use of the guild, the king of the army, one set protects the churc, another an emergency shelter. The dark forces try to break the enemy's formation by cutting off the civilians escape routes. The MC party escorts the chicken to the portal, the chicken destroys the portal and the evil god is split in two, with only a small part of it having crossed the planes.
