Miori has been the MVP since the first episode; I even saw her as a sister to Natsuki (they even look alike) because of how she helps him, but these post-credits scenes change a lot. I mean, before, she helped him when he was at his worst, when she could have simply treated him as an acquaintance from her school days. And when she said she likes the current version of him, it's probably because it's the version where he sees himself as someone worthy, but mainly, she wants the Natsuki who allows himself to make mistakes and recognizes that not everything will be perfect. Maybe in the end Miori won't have any romantic moments with him, but it was something that impacted the plot. Anyway, it was good to see that Natsuki and Tatsuya resolved things; in the end, envy and jealousy are part of people's development, not that it's always positive, but it can make us grow, and that was the case here. Well, now that Uta has officially rejected Tatsuya, it will be very interesting to see her relationship with Natsuki, because judging by the opening theme, there will still be a long drama between the two.

It's kind of surreal to have a childhood friend that seems set up to be totally platonic and not one of the MC's love interests, even if it feels like they could pivot that way, but right now they seem more focused on a Hikari/Natsuki/Uta love triangle. She rejected Tatsuya (though maybe not 100%), she's clearly into Natsuki, she's realizing Natsuki like someone else...maybe she'll take Natsuki's own words into account and fight for him like he told Tatsuya to fight for her? It's not like Hikari is really putting up a fight right now.

Things just keep getting better and better! Love the drama and looks like there's more to come. Hmm...Miori sure hanging by a thread there for a second. If she provoked Natsuki even further she will be pegged for sure. Ngl, Miori is the best girl for Natsuki with the way she knows everything about him is his partner in crime and even gave a place for Natsuki to show his vulnerable side . In normal school romcom anime, Miori surely gonna fall to Natsuki and vice versa but this show probably not going to that route...for now. Natsuki just out himself and complain straight to Tatsuya's nose are so satisfy to watch lol. The best part is, his circle now know the truth so they totally become true friend at least on Natsuki's part. I just can't forgive Tatsuya anymore! How dare he look at another guy waifu collections without permission! /j Poor Tatsuya been rejected over and over by Uta but declaring he's not giving up sure stirs Uta's heart a bit totally not thanks to Natsuki that lifts his spineless self ofc I'm more interest in Yuino since she's doesn't have anyone right now. Maybe she's gonna fall to MC too because spending more time doing part time together? hehe more drama (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵)

Impressed with this episode. I was almost ready to write this show off as a purely glazing teenager wish fulfillment fantasy, but last week and this week’s episode show me that the show was actually willing to take some good look at the characters and showing what can be interesting about them. Also Miori is definitely Best girl. She and Natsu have some good chemistry together. Natsuki’s actual crush barely had any screen time at all. That makes me wonder if the show will continue to throw some curveball and let the childhood friend wins.

Natsuki’s lucky to have a childhood friend who’s not afraid to smack him upside his head when he needs it. Miori is a great friend. I can see there might be something there too.. It might be Tatsuya’s fault that everything’s all awkward because he was being all mopey and jealous, but shattering the illusion that Natsuki’s perfect did help. Guy worked hard to transform himself after being given a second chance at youth. They just didn’t see it.

Natuski better double down as Miori's wingman because she's been hard carrying him as a wingwoman so far. She deserves that much. Natsuki might have more adult experience but deep down he's still that same old teen dweeb who is into magical girls and just wants to be popular. That's kind of dorky, but it means he's just as much just a regular guy as Tatsuya. He tried so hard to act perfect and like Tatsuya that he lost sight of how likeable he could be his real self. Also Hikari trying to act so nonchalant about wanting to see Natsuki's before picture lol.

Uta didn't see anything before, but it's clear from that blush she might be down for him now that the idea's in her head. The show never directly said it I suppose but I think more interesting than 'Well I wasn't anywhere close to perfect in the past' point that he put up is still his lack of ability to actually handle social situations. He got in to the friend group not because he was great at social interaction but because he had skills to show off. He didn't know how to handle group dynamics, and in addition you can also say that the moment things go wrong, he gets a defeatist attitude and needed the large push from his childhood friend to keep trying.

All the best laid plans...all of Natsuki's efforts for a colorful adolescence seems like they've gone up in smokes. Tatsuya is staying out of the friend group and the group is basically splitting off without him in it. What's Natsuki going to do? Hard to not see Natsuki as his perfect when he's even #1 in exams, and girls are starting to notice how he's the complete package. Poor Uta was trying to find a chance to hang out with him over the weekend but gets denied because he's in too much of a funk. But just when it seems like Natsuki is about to give up, Miori shows up with an umbrella of both the phyiscal and emotional variety! Next thing you know she's helping herself to his room, his bed (in loungewear!), his ecchi manga, and his troubles! She knows Natsuki better than anyone, and if anyone can see how hard he's trying while still acknowledging the REAL Natsuki behind his perfect facade, it's her. I love how Miori apologizes for not being there for Natsuki...only to double down on how it wasn't her fault since HE'S the one who created distance between them. Miori takes no responsibility for Natsuki's idiocy. Welp, it's finally time for Natsuki to confront Tatsuya (on the school roof because, y'know, "youth") and the only way for Natsuki to get through to Tatsuya is to just cut through the BS and complain to Tatsuya about his bad attitude and how he's been handling everything. For all of Tatsuya's complaints about Natsuki, Natsuki's the one who had to watch how Tatsuya has basically had everything on easy mode when it comes to looks/athletics/friends while Natsuki could only hope to emulate him. Deep down Natsuki's still a magical girl otaku who is trying REALLY hard to be popular in high school! Just look at his before/after! Ah, well, I guess that resolves the friend group drama and whether Tatsuya should confess to Uta since the rest of them were overhearing the entire conversation...and Uta immediately rejects and friendzone's Tatsuya. Guy never even got to properly confess! I feel like he should make "Mr. High School Debut" show the girls his before picture as revenge. Well, at least Tatsuya still hasn't given up on Uta and her blushing towards that declaration means she's not completely immune to him as a guy! The gang are living a full-blown youth and Natsuki and Hikari are enjoying every minute of it! It's are for opposite sex childhood friends in a romcom to say "I like you" in a platonic sense, but Miori is ultimately just Natsuki's partner-in-crime. Uta, on the other hand, has real feelings for Natsuki...and she knows she's not the one who has his heart.

Best episode for me yet, I really enjoyed this focus on Tatsuya and Natsuki's relationship, especially since he was one of the two people Natsuki remembered of his past. Miori said Tatsuya wasn't at fault, but I think that's in the context that he didn't go back in time lol. I would say he brought it upon himself by being too perfect.  I am glad he was able to work up the courage to show his true self to Tatsuya, I think they'll be able to forge a more genuine friendship with this now with both of them understanding each other. The banter between them after was funny so I'm hoping there'll be some more.  Miori's a really great friend and I'm glad there's nothing romantic developing between her and Natsuki, I don't even have to wonder, it's nice to see a platonic friendship like theirs in this kind of setting. Hopefully Natsuki will pay her back tenfold with Reita.

First chunk of this episode was rough. Giving up so fast on his dream because of one detour? Jesus dude grow a fucking spine. But the rooftop talk with Tatsuya is giving me hope this show can be what I was hoping for when I heard about it. Very heartfelt and sincere without all the dumb 'overly perfect' stuff that was making the last couple episodes tedious. Also isn't Haibara legally required to get a monster cold after walking home in the rain? That's anime law. Oh my god the eavesdropping lol. Including Uta!!! I do hope we get to see the girls' reaction to his old picture when he was a thicc boy. Coming into this episode I was wondering if I was going to drop it after this episode, I was so close at the end of the last one. But this gave me enough to give it more episodes, and I'm glad it did.

Pretty good resolution to the current drama, though I was a little surprised it was only a week of the friend group being broken up before it got fixed since itfelt like they were implying it was a bit longer. Uta finding out Tatsuya likes her and the post credit scene of her realizing Natsuki probably likes someone else already helps with the harem problem that appeared to be developing. Way more fun to have a few ships sailing at once, or at least the potential of that. Great full face blush on her as Tatsuya was making his cool exit towards the stairs. I'm a bit disappointed they didn't let everyone see the picture, but I'm sure that'll happen eventually.

Ah right that they aren't exactly on the best of terms. Seriously? Just like that? So, she's going to try and bring the group back together. Or not? Are they going to share an umbrella? Well, not quite. And now she's on his bed... He's going to end up on top of her on his bed isn't he... Ok... I mean that's good enough. Headpats! And so she accepts him for who he is. Jealous? You don't say... Complain to him? I guess he has been working hard. Oh, he's going to show him a picture of when he was fat isn't he? Yep. Lol he scrolled his camera roll. And so they're friends again. Lol. And so the clouds clear. Lol they were all listening. Also lol the girls in a stack on the ground. Damn... Rejected immediately.

This was a good episode obviously natsuki does have a un fair advantage considering his life experiences but that’s nothing really to feel depressed or guilty about He’s just playing the cards he been felt and nothing really to feel bad or sad about tatsyua got jealous on his own without putting the effort But at the same time because he puts on so much of act it really does makes him this unapproachable human looking perfect in every way Which earns him that jealous That’s why showing your weaker side is important Makes him feel more human and less like a character to us and to his friends I like natsuki and tatsyua bickering at the end 😂 But showing who he was in the past to his friends and who he’s trying to be now will bring them closers And inspire them to try there best namely tatsyua and his love quest 🥰 Also mvp clutch to miori, truly I don’t know if she’ll end like natsuki but she a good partner in crime and they have a good sibling dynamic! And I like that she both apologized and not apologized for what happened in middle school. Obviously she could done something back then to help him but if he pulled away there’s not much reason for her to step in. But she watch him all this time and accept the person he was now but more importantly back than and that’s small kindness help paint away some of the grey that was hanging over! I can’t help but think hoshimiya is also time leap consider she use the word “youth” and that she kind feel like she putting on this ditzy act! Though I realize that could be a stretch
