Mutsumi’s collection of Taiyo merch is almost as big as Kyoichiro’s Mutsumi collection lol. Find a girl who loves you so much she turns you into a male spy model and hand-makes all your goods for her own personal satisfaction. Looks like the gang’s gonna have to continue to commit elder abuse to save Mutsumi from ol Tsubomi’s control. They gotta really hack that tree down. When the next generation having to overcome the previous generation has now literally become the plot.

Stitches! Cleaning Mutsumi Tsubomi & Itsuwa Mutsumi having a massive collection of homemade Taiyo merch just really shows that she's not that different from Kyouichirou. The difference is that Taiyo is more than happy for Mutsumi to create more merch of him. 😆 I really love how the previous Yozakura heads have a counterpart in the current generation. If Futaba bears some similarities to Ninomae, now we have Lady Itsuwa, who's a female version of Kengo and is also a massive narcissist like him. Itsuwa is such a narcissist that she literally had her body preserved and turned into a figurehead in the Yozakura Silk Factory. I can definitely see Kengo doing the same thing when he dies. 😆 It is awesome how Itsuwa isn't buying into Tsubomi's plans and wants the kids to end her. She even fought back even for just a little bit before Tsubomi finally absorbed her.

Kyoichiro was right. He and Mutsumi truly share the same blood...the blood that compels them to obsess over and make personal merch of the ones they love. Mutsumi was just lucky enough to find a spouse that's actually into that versus how everyone hates on Kyoichiro lol. How convenient that all the Family Heads match-up surprisingly well with the current Yozakura Family, though it also makes me really want to see more of these family heads when they were alive and actually running the family. I feel like Ninomae and especially Itsuwa have some amazing stories to tell. Itsuwa is based even as a reanimated corpse. I know there's all this serious plot stuff going on but I couldn't help but keep getting distracted by the fact that Tsubomi is buck-naked and flashing her big boobs the entire time.

When I realized Itsuwa and Kengo lookalike I thought things were going to be a more confusing with her transforming into them, but they were fortunate that she was against Tsubomi which was an interesting development.  I do find it a little lacking that Taiyou once again sort of handles things in the end, I want the siblings to have a bigger part or even be the one that ends things, like this could have been a good way to make Kengo learn something from Itsuwa. But MC gonna MC.  Taiyou happy to indulge Mutsumi in her oshi activities lol. No-one was surprised.

I had a feeling with the name of the episode that it was going to get in some serious shit. And considering what's been being shown with the other ancestral family heads it was probably inevitable that Mutsumi would eventually be at risk. Fun first half at least, particularly Ai finding souvenirs to snag while they were cleaning out the family storage. I'm not sure they should have let her keep the tiny Kengo statue, though.

It's Spring Cleaning with the Yozakura Family! Their progress in tracking down Momo isn't going anywhere, so why not just clean up and maybe find Lady Ninomae's journals in the process? It's a win-win! Of course Mutsumi is going KonMari on her siblings' massive hoard of stuff...no little sister wants to see her big brothers' naked body in (multiple) statue form, she's going to guilt-trip Shion with her secret stash of magical girl merch if she's going to act like a hardcore Otaku collector, she's going to call out Shinzo for buying any weapon or munitions that he can and not even do it through proper channels, Futaba has a LOT of plushie "heirlooms," Kyoichiro's Mutsumi merch goes in the trash, and Nanao...well, Nanao is good, even if he collects his siblings' DNA through the creepiest of ways. But Mutsumi can't be calling out Kyoichiro ever again when you find her secret stash...of hand-made Taiyo goods. Yes, that's right, Mutsumi treats her husband like he's a male idol with merch to match. It's her darkest secret that she's as obsessed with her man as Kyoichiro is with her. But Taiyo being Taiyo embraces this form of Mutsumi's love and supports her as the loving and accepting husband he's always been! Ai found Lady Ninomae's journal so it's time to track down where Momo is! Although I feel like they should have been more concerned with Mutsumi's sudden fevers. And it's in a Silk Factory where they find a shrine to Lady Steward Itsuwa, basically Kengo if he was a woman and a fashion icon voiced by Mai Nakahara (?), and whose body isn't interred there...she's LITERALLY there resurrected as herself and, like with the other Heads, granted abilities alongside the other revived Yozakura Heads. Now she's got Kengo's copy ability but even stronger! But Itsuwa has a strong sense of self, beauty, and self-pride, she doesn't want to be a reanimated corpse (because it's not beautiful) and she doesn't want to be under Tsubomi's thumb. So she WANTS to die properly. Too bad naked Tsubomi won't let her go that easily. So all Mutsumi, the family heads, or anyone are to Tsubomi at this point is a means of absorbing and consuming them to keep her ageless and alive...and she sowed the seeds into Mutsumi via Momo to become her perfect vessel. She even absorbs Itsuwa into her body. This is pretty messed up! But Taiyo isn't going to lose Mutsumi or give up on her, when she's never given up on him, even if it means using Amaterasu: Chaotic Blooming to fend off Tsubomi. But this is still just a holding pattern until they can defeat her and all the revived Yozakura heads to save Mutsumi.
