Mahiru proudly insisting that Amane looks good with his clothes off, in front of their entire class too. Good thing they've gotten everyone on their side already. I like that Kido had her own successful childhood friend romcom, I wonder how many homewreckers she had to defeat. The conflict between Itsuki and his dad over Chitose has been something I've been curious about since S1, so I'm glad to see there might be some movement incoming on that plotline. Miharu and Amane both look quite good in their outfits. Pretty conservative for some maid outfits you seen but it worked well here.

After seeing Daiki in the previews last episode I thought we were going to see more focus on Itsuki and Chitose in the latter half, but I'm also glad Daiki didn't want to ruin everyone's day with family drama.  I was not expecting Sugita Tomokazu's voice to come out of Souji lol, that took me by surprise. Kido had a lot to say this episode, I was surprised by how much presence she had in the first half, I also thought Souji was going to be a bit bulkier looking from what she said about her type. His shirtless scene better not disappoint if he ever has one. Mahiru getting competitive about her shirtless boyfriend was amusing, especially with how shy she gets about his bare body.  It's nice that the class is also trying to protect Mahiru, they won't allow anyone to interfere with the class' ship lol.  I do find the jealousy of Mahiru and Amane to be a bit overbearing in this episode. I think it might be because it's happened numerous times throughout the season, it feels a little overdone? Like Amane bothered by Mahiru smiling at people, what is he going to do if she does a customer facing job in the future? Yeah I understand they're still young, but I think the novelty of their jealousy might have worn off for me lol.

Amane & Mahiru were cursed to be surrounded by gremlins. As if Chitose wasn't enough, there's also Ayaka who made it her mission to tease the couple every single moment she had. On the other hand, it's lovely to see the entire class teaming up to protect them from any harasser. We have already slept together several times, you know. It's a good thing nobody was around to hear that – especially those two gremlins. Amane & Mahiru would otherwise never hear the end of it. It seems you’ve found yourself a nice girlfriend, Fujimiya-kun. On the surface it's a compliment but if you read between the lines, it's a slight against Itsuki. He's facing a monumental task to get his father to accept Chitose. At least Daiki had the awareness and decency to not sour the mood by popping in at the cafe.

Honestly they don't make it easy on themselves with how much they seem to exist in their own little romance world the moment they're around each other. Also, are we sure the ghost girl manning the haunted house desk didn't overhear them? They were right next to her lol. Mahiru is on-paper a "proper," well-bred girl versus Chitose. Although I can't think he's completely terrible if he didn't want to ruin the mood for everyone because of his issues with his sons' girlfriend. He just has too strict standards for who he feels his son should be with.

What's better than Chitose teasing Amane and Mahiru about their relationship? Chitose AND Kido teasing them about their relationship. The classmates have come a long way since S1 where Amane was their angel and they were angry with anyone who tried to get close to her. No way the S1 classmates wouldn't have been hostile to Mahiru openly declare how good Amane looks without his clothes on in front of the whole class. Now they're all all-in on protecting Amane and Mahiru's relationship. It's funny how despite the series being known for its sweetness and wholesomeness this has some of the horniest girls. Mahiru flexed how many times they've "slept together" (!!!) several times before the haunted house. No way they just off-screened the sex, right?

If you want drama and problems For me at least, it's not about wanting drama, but the more fundamental aspect of "show, don't tell". While open communication is definitely a rarity in romcoms & a requirement to properly maintain a relationship, overly relying on dialogue to express people's love just takes away from the appeal of the medium of animation & sound. It wouldn't matter when you're reading a book, but when animated 1-to-1, it just feels like the two of them are reading off a script to each other. A lot of the repetitive dialogue could've been compressed to make it feel natural in an anime format. More gestures, looks, body language, little bits of skinship etc. would fit the anime format much better as well.

How close they are. Either emotionally or physically (for the last several episodes they have kissed twice and then been like "ahh too much") i understand they're only teens, but they've now has the same conversation and the same results several times. the you're so sexy conversation, or the i want to do more conversation, or the amane shirtless conversation, or the i'll turn into a beast conversation (one of my least favourites, I don't know why men in anime think it's cool to say that you'll force yourself on your girlfriend if she gets too close, i know amane doesn't mean it like that, i know mahiru knows he doesnt, but still). And, my absolute least favourite and the one I want them to actually resolve. the "I'm jealous of other people looking at you conversation" we have had this *so* many times now, and it is *never* actually resolved. It's not satisfying from a story perspective, and it's also not really healthy to be jealous just because other people dare to talk to your boyfriend/girlfriend. Once again, i understand they're teenagers, but how many times are we going to have this conversation? Every single episode lately there has been no conflict. Now i LOVE slice of life shows, and when i say conflict, i don't mean a fight or drama, or anything like that. I *certainly* don't want a love triangle. I mean low stakes conflict. Like it's valentines day and someone has to figure out how to make cookies, or someone is sick, or they're learning to touch each other slightly more intimately, or *something*. We've had a minor conflict, but it's the same conflict they have everytime that we all know isn't going anywhere (they're jealous of other people). Again, i love slice of life, it's my relaxing thing to watch, However, there needs to be *something* they can't keep making the same joke "look how much they love each other!" and having the same argument "Im jealous!" and the same progress "you're the only one for me *2x kiss* woah, thats enough for me" every single episode. it's just not interesting to watch.

The culture festival prep is in full swing! Everyone is getting things prepped and ready! Especially Kido, who wants to make sure Amane and Mahiru are prepared to attract customers! Because even the ladies find Amane at his most attractive when he's being lovey-dovey with Mahiru! And making Mahiru out that she's seen Amane with his clothes off to defend her boyfriends' honor as not being wimpy. Take a shot every time Amane or Mahiru underestimate how popular they are with the opposite sex, take issue with the opposite sex seeing them at their most cute/attractive, and verify that they only have eyes for each other. You might not stay conscious during this episode. All the class cares about is the cosplay, so with that in mind...Maid Mahiru! She looks so beautiful, Amane is stunned speechless! She even knocks out a few other guys too! But she's at her most attractive when she's putting herself out there as Amane's absolute girlfriend! Chitose is a cute maid too, though Amane as a butler steals the show. He just looks so handsome and sexy (especially to Mahiru)! Mahiru can barely contain herself when she gets properly escorted by him! All the girls are swooning too! Guess Kadowaki is officially not the hottest guy in class anymore! This class really lucked out that they got two attractive people who are surprisingly good at customer service and who look straight out of a maid/butler romance headlining the cafe. It also helps that Mahiru can ward off any creeps hitting on her in the classiest way possible...and Amane is there in case anyone gets handsy with his girlfriend! Heck, the whole class is behind them as a couple! Mahiru doesn't even care about appearances, she'll straight up sniff her boyfriends sweater when he puts it on her. Meet Kido's childhood friend-slash-boyfriend Soji! She loves 'em muscular! And then she and Mahiru get in a fight over whose boyfriend looks better shirtless. What a flex, ladies. These two have really got to stop denying how lovey-dovey they are in public when they're basically flirting over seeing a Haunted House, Amane taking advantage of Mahiru being too stubbornly proud at times, and Mahiru flexing how many times they've "slept" together. Oh hey, it's Daiki, Itsuki's dad! He seems pretty sociable and friendly to Amane and Mahiru, but I feel like part of that is Mahiru is the type of girl he can approve of instead of Chitose. Though at least he had enough sense not to ruin the class mood by visiting his son and the girlfriend he doesn't like. Definitely a sore point for Itsuki. Kadowaki is in a band? Of course they don't even let us hear any of their music.

Awww Mahiru feels insecure with Amane now getting a lot of attention from the other girls. Amane is doing his best to reassure her that he only has eyes for her, but Mahiru just has to work through those uncomfortable feelings herself. They both look great in their maid and butler costumes. Amane definitely surprised me with how well he could perform those customer service lines. I thought he'd definitely chicken out or stutter. Itsuki's dad doesn't approve of his son's relationship with Chitose. The guy seems like a pretty old-fashioned and strict guy and probably doesn't care for the more rambunctious and care free Chitose. Maybe the incident with Chitose having to quit the track team also had something to do with it if Itsuki is involved in some way. Maybe that gave him a bad impression of her.

Amane's become really popular that girls are into him especially since he's not single. Daiki's nice enough not to spoil the mood by not visiting Itsuki. I love the implication while the class loves Mahiru enough to be protective, they'd do the same for Amane. Good move for Amane to stop a molester from touching Mahiru when others failed to notice. Yuuta's a part of a band. Kazuya's lucky to be at the back much to Makoto's chagrin since he also wants to be there. So Ayaka's dating Souji who happens to be her ripped childhood friend.

Aura? Damn ok... A request? Ok... And so he's seeing her in the outfit. And so he's hugging her. And now he's in his outfit too. Ok... Victims lol. He's jealous. Lol ok so she's also liking his performance. So, he protected her. And so, off they go to enjoy the festivities. Perhaps she is... Yep she got scared lol. Huh. Who's that? Ah. On the topic of them... Lol she's cute even when she does that.

That's good to hear. Thanks for letting me know that about the show. Enjoying at my own pace will be a very slow pace to start out with, depending on the anime, but I'll do as you advised me to. I think my biggest problem is probably wanting to take in the imagery and sometimes my mind just does that without me wanting to. So again, I'll do as you have suggested.
