Honestly the slice of life moments are actually my favorite parts of this series. Like this episode it was so great just seeing the characters live their lives and reminiscing on how much things have changed since the beginning and how happy they are now. It really ties into the fact that Rudy wasn’t isekaid to be some world saving hero, him being isekaid was him getting a second chance to live a normal, fulfilling life.

I think the idea of the ending is good. Execution is terrible. It reminds me of the HIMYM ending. It was planned from the very beginning. If they kept the rest of the story tight and put that ending in there, it would've been amazing. But they made a whole mess with 9 seasons and tried to force the pre-planned ending. It's pretty obvious Fujimoto had this ending planned from the start as well. The way his character spiraled and the whole world descended into chaos, there was no other way it could've ended. But Fujimoto made a massively long middle section and repeated the same blunder as HIMYM. People are rightfully mad for wasting all that time.

I agree that perfect is the enemy of good, but sometimes it's obvious that an author is too rigid and forces their story to end the way they planned from the beginning even if it no longer fits the story. Same thing happened with Aka Akasaka and Oshi No Ko imo. Though just with worse execution and a worse idea. You know ONK's ending was planned from the start because there's no way an ending that's so objectively terrible was not preplanned. Also it's more plausible that Aka just gave up because on ONK because ONK is what he started when he gave up on Kaguya-sama. Then started writing something else when he gave up on ONK. If there's something ONK and CSM can teach future authors, it's to be flexible. To be willing to change the ending if the story evolves beyond their planned ending.

Considering Sylphie and Rudeus alligned themself on the opposite end of the Greyrat family struggle, which is directly tied to the Asura kingdom royal succession, it can get pretty ugly I think. Luke's father(Pilemon Greyrat) is the guy who was trying to capitalize on the death of Eris' father and grandfather by turning her into his concubine, so I think Eris might be slightly upset when she learns that not only has Rudeus moved on from her, but he also is now allies with the people trying to control her. In season 1 during Rudeus' stay with the Boreas Greyrats, there were multiple scenes and brief jokes talking about the power struggle between the Boreas and Notos Greyrats. Philip pretty directly asked if Rudeus would be game for a coup where they would make Rudeus head of the Notos branch, and during one of the parties when Sauros got drunk he also started shouting he'd kill Pilemon for Rudeus' sake. Not to mention that Eris is under the wrong impression that she and Rudeus are together, while Rudeus thinks she abandoned him and they are done.
