Lol I love that it wasn't just our MC that was tricked .no one knew she was a girl 😂 This actually brings up an interesting point, which makes me question what Haruki's parents are like even more. If no one knew she was a girl I guess non of her childhood friends ever interacted with her parents, even tho we know she hung out with Hayato a bunch in her room back then as well. And now she's in highschool she seems like she's basically abandoned, so wtf is up with them

Another adorable episode without melodrama. Seeing the friend find out Haruki is a girl and lose her shit in the post credits scene was fantastic. And I'm really curious what is up with Haruki's parents. Even by anime parent standards they are crazy levels of missing. Also she might have come over if they told her it was curry tonight. Not my favorite romance of the season but one I look forward to every week and makes me smile. The relationships are fun and silly without being exaggerated. I adore stuff like Rich Girl Caretaker and Hanaori-san but adding in something a little less over the top is a nice contrast.

So, Himeko is going to play the role of "sister and friend to the girl the protagonist likes," and since she’s quite cheeky, she might just stir things up between Hayato and Haruki. Okay, now I need to know more about their past, especially Haruki’s, since she’s on her own; that would also explain why she seemed more sentimental in this episode. I kind of get where Minamo’s grandfather is coming from; I’d want to protect a sweet little thing like her too lol

Haruki and Himeko's meeting went exactly as I hoped for. Their reactions to each other were perfect! 😆 I do hope we get an explanation of what's going on with Haruki's home life. Like, why the fuck does that kitchen look abandoned? Where the heck are her parents? Are they just working all the time that they literally have no time to be at home? I'm honestly surprised Hayato didn't just start interrogating her after seeing that, Mama Kirishima looks good. I'm wondering why she's in the hospital but based on that quick flashback scene and how she mentioned she had surgery, I'm guessing it's probably related to her heart. That after-credits scene tho! It looks like Saki has a crush on Hayato and is now in full panic mode after learning from Himeko that Haruki is actually a girl and is in the same class as Hayato. 😆

Good to know for future reference that Haruki does NOT react to Hayato being close to other girls, though thank goodness he quickly nipped this misunderstanding drama in the bud as quickly as possible. Glad Himeko adjusted to Haruki being a girl instead of a boy well! Now they can be real gal pals (and future sisters-in-law) who text each other all night and have to go to school with no sleep. Haruki's definitely got a girlfriend all right! So Haruki CAN make Hayato all hot and bothered...even if it's just to plead with him to eat his food. Admittedly, Hayato does make some delicious lunches! What's so serious that Himeko had to basically steal Haruki away after school ended? Well, she's a total fashion disaster who still has the fashion sense of a little boy, so clearly she needs Himeko's help to spruce up her wardrobe. And when Hayato sees the state she's living in alone, she deserves to eat family dinner together with him and Himeko! She's practically part of the family! And she does seem to appreciate Hayato's domestic side quite a bit! Nothing says gal pals like going on a shopping spree together! If Haruki is going to shop till she drops, she's going to go all out! But did Himeko have a crush on Haruki when she thought she was a boy? Kind of seems like it. I'm glad the siblings' mom seems to be doing well after her surgery, even if the rehabilitation might keep her away from her kids for a bit longer. Is there some tension between Hayato and his dad though? Oh hey, Minamo! Hayato's favorige veggie buddy and sheep girl! Who is also at the hospital to visit a family member: her overly-protective and energetic grandpa! Good thing Hayato has good reflexes, though Minamo holding his hand to get him out of there sure showed her gramps. And the pair commiserate over both having a precious family member in the hospital. Can't wait to see super girly Haruki throwing Hayato for a loop. Himeko's right that Haruki always goes all out when it comes to Hayato! Oh hey, Saki-chan! A shrine maiden back at the siblings' old stomping grounds who reacts absolutely calmly and reasonable to discovering Haruki is a top-tier beautiful girl now and is still hanging around Hayato. Yep, she's not freaking out at all!

Problem solved, no drama whatsover...Ehhhhhhh?! This guy is truly the MC of MC! A bit shame Hayato doesn't join their shopping trip but they do all this to make Hayato kyun later so I hope it worth Haruki exhaustion. No wonder he's so perceptive. He always let his 'absolute territory' activates literally... Minamo too cute to be true! Looks like we're still in common route. Am I actually wrong?! It's Haruki harem all along lol!

Hime not putting two and two together on Haru is understandable. Haru going all jelly donut for not putting two and two together on Hime on the other hand... But with that awkward little mystery solved, seems the gang's all back together now without skipping a beat. Leveled up from monkey to gorilla, eh? Well, did he lie? Applying pink love hotel filter for asking him to share his lunch with you. How scandalous you are Haru. Surprise headpats for the lonely looking girl. Seems Hime will not let this fashion affront to Haru's natural girl power stand. Seems those headpats earlier were warranted. It only took one glance at a greater part of Haru's home to tell Hayato that that house of someone he cares deeply about seems devoid of light and life. And that is something he will let not stand. And nothing says revitalizing light and life like a gyoza party. I mean look at those happy tears she was shedding even before he officially opened their home and dinner table up to her. That says it all. Sheep-chan, being her best sheepy self. Meanwhile Hometown Girl senses danger. But she's too far away to do anything about it...

I’m always confused how little anime kids seem to want to spend time with their parents in the hospital, like in this case it seemed like it reminds him of the trauma. But if his mom is recovering, then that should be all the more reason to stay and visit. Maybe it’s always just to keep plot pacing for the story though. I thought that was Haru at the end of the ED, but now see it was the new girl. She seems like a fun character. Also, when Himeko was saying “Back then, to me, Haru-chan was like…”, it makes me wonder if she used to have a crush on Haru when she thought they were a boy.

The "Is this your girlfriend" moment played out exactly how I wanted it to. Haruki being a little cheeky about thinking he has a girlfriend already and then it getting solved immediately by Hayato introducing them. Himeko and Haruki's reactions to each other were great. Done and dusted. They're going to make wait until the end of the show for us find out what Haruki was trying to say that got cut off by her stomach and Hayato, aren't we? Hayato kinda cocky with the headpats. Regardless of that, I'm glad to see that Haruki has finally made a girl friend in Himeko and considering she's got a teasing side like Haruki does and probably already ships Haruki with Hayato I imagine she'll stir the pot eventually which should be fun. It cracked me up when Haruki was trying to escape her own house because Himeko was roasting her wardrobe. After seeing all those bags in Haruki's kitchen I'm curious about Haruki's past now. How did she end up living alone like that? Good on Hayato for trying to make sure she has at least good stable meal every day. I'm looking forward to seeing Hayato's reaction to seeing Haruki look all girly. From the way Hayato tensed up when his mom mentioned his dad I gather there's some tension there. I wonder why he didn't mention Haruki to his mom. It's shame Minamo is probably going to be a losing heroine here. She's just so dang cute. I don't blame her grandpa for wanting to protect her. Saki is probably going to race over now that she knows Haruki is a girl. She's probably always had the hots for Hayato and was maybe jealous of how close Haruki and Hayato were as kids, but since she thought Haruki was a boy she probably it didn't matter and that she'd be with Hayato in the end. Now she's got competition and it's kind of funny because they're both homewreckers from the other's point of view. Haruki was closer Hayato, but Saki probably liked him first. Saki is probably going to be on the losing side like Minamo, but hopefully her antics are at least funny or entertaining.

Poor sheep girl is never beating the sheep allegations. I approve of Hayato immediately moving into Cooking for Haru Full Time mode once he saw that kitchen. I love how basically everybody back home is surprised about Haru. The Hime and Haru reunion was pretty fun. Feels like Hime might have had a crush on him in the distant past but now that she found out he's a her and they went on that shopping trip she might be already moving on to rooting for her brother instead. If Hime can't have him as a husband she might as well have her as a sister-in-law.

Everyone at school now thinks Himeko is Haruki's girlfriend and the fact that she was waiting at the gate for her almost confirms that for on lookers. They kinda imply that Himeko had a crush on Haruki back when she thought she was a boy as kids which makes the dynamic more complicated. this is turning into a love polygon more and more each episode with the sheep girl and the yandere priest as well.

They avoided Hayato saying "waaaaaaa" exxageratedly when he found out Haruki lived as a girl but then did it immediately when Himeko and Haruki found out each other 🤣. Himeko seems to think Haruki was a girl all along and just an extreme tomboy. I'm surprised they ended up getting along so well but I think Haruki was lying when she said she didn't know anything about makeup more to humor Himeko; convincing everyone in your school is no easy feat without proper makeup knowledge, hiding stubble from having to shave so often alone takes makeup skill. As for Haruki's situation, her apartment seemed nice, like had a chrome fridge and stovetop but everything but her room was empty. That would suggest her parents are barely around and may live elsewhere and its probably why she doesn't have proper meals. That was very intuitive of Hayato to suggest she have dinner with them as often as she likes. At first I thought Haruki was crying from the spicy gyoza but it seemed to be more touched from Hayato looking out for her. I was surprised that Hayato's mother was on the mend, I figured she was terminally ill but she got better quickly. I also suspect Minamo's grandfather is doing OK since hes running around throwing stuff. I wonder if he's just in for a minor problem or they have sort of a nursing home there since he was with 2 other really old men. I wonder if Minamo's feelings were hurt when Hayato said he thinks of her like a little girl he used to know since she clearly has a huge crush on him. Hayato might have cheered her though when he asked to be more involved in the gardening club. I still think Hayato won't get a phone because he thinks he's being a hardship on his family and not because he'd just not rather have one. Himeko just has one because she's kind of a brat, especially complaining about Hayato always making her terrible food but then we see the bento with a hamburg steak and rice with a little meatball in it and he makes gyoza!
