I wasn't expecting to see what happened to Cait Sith Mama so soon, it's nice to see how her maternal instincts even reach humans.  The Greater Demon being revealed to be her son was great too, I like how he feels embarrassed by the love because she treats him like a child. Greater Demon can't be the imposing figure he wants to be around her. I'm glad he also has a cat form like Cat Dragon.  The ED shows Greater Demon and Cat Dragon together, so hopefully we'll eventually see the two meet.

Short story for episode 1. It was mentioned by the staff that in addition to these twitter short stories, you may have noticed that there's a block of text that appears at the very end of each episode. He then pulled out several more leaves from somewhere, excitedly discussing them, saying, "How about this one? And that one?" "Hmm. Is this a sensibility unique to cats that live in the forest?" Mama cat get summoned as a familiar and immediately finds another kitten to raise. This demon being one of her kids too is delightful. Mama cat is the greatest, and she's even a nekomata now too which means she'll probably be around for the rest of the story no matter how much time they let pass. Friendly demon cat is a nice surprise in the same show that already gave us an awesome dragon cat, I imagine we'll have him for the long run too. That was a pretty nice story about mama cat's human daughter.

I'm so happy we got to see what happened to Mama Cait-Sith after she got summoned! I was worried we weren't gonna see her again. I love how Mama Cait-Sith is treating Anne Rose like her own daughter. She's even helping the teacher with his reasearch on magical beasts. She wasn't kidding when she said in the first episode that she had taken care of all sorts of magical beasts! I just didn't expect one of her sons to be a demon! 😆 So Mama evolved from eating all of those Carbuncle stones? The only thing it changes is that she gets to live longer now. I hope this means she'll get reunited with her Cat-Dragon son in the future. And I love the timeskip to an older Anne Rose! I was genuinely laughing out loud when Mama Cait-Sith started scolding her Cat-Demon son. This show is so goddamn good. 😆

This anime is well on its way to making my top three list for the season once it wraps up. During the first episode, I figured we’d see the "cat mom" character again, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon; a quick search had already shown me her depicted with two tails and revealed her second adopted son—who actually appears in this episode. We’ll surely see them again, as I’m really hoping for a family reunion between the cat mom and the dragon child. I loved this second episode just as much as the first, but, I absolutely hate the incredibly bare-bones summaries Crunchyroll provides for the end-of-episode text—so much so that I went looking for the full translations elsewhere.

Someone said this anime was aimed at cat lovers and as a cat lover, I have to say hell yes! Mama cat is the best. The way she quickly decided she was going to have to raise Anne and fully committed to it. Her materal instinct is off the charts. Raising everything from dragons to humans to even demons! And she's the cutest little floof too. I could watch her eat carbuncles all day. Wonder if we'll go back and forth between NekoRyuu and Mama cat over the season or if this is the last we see of Mama cat.
