My favourite part is that Loki and his crew successfully convinced big mom that this was a political marriage that would bring her into an alliance with Elbaf even though Loki was still a complete pariah blamed for killing harald at that point. My headcanon is that Lola saw his eyes and wasnt scared. When Big Mom used Chiffon after Lolas refusal, Chiffon saw his eyes and got scared, thats how Loki figured it out.

Was it big mom the one who told this fact? I think big mom has a track record of giving false information, like how she said she gifted kaido the devil fruit, but in reality kaido stole it from her. So perhaps this fact about Loki wanting to marry Lola was her version of memory, which might not be true in Loki's perspective

Maybe it was the one who showed up on the island or the one who was offered to him. We're both speculating here. I think "He fell in love with her and was rejected" is just Lola's point of view. We know that Loki's only motivation since his father's death is: To leave Elbaph and get revenge. Joining a Yonkou's crew with an arranged marriage was a means to that end.
