If One Piece was a bit more comedy in genre than it already is, this joke would've been made years ago
But also, once the 4th wall was broken, Luffy would be breaking it in g5 all the time. But the 1st joke to break the 4th wall would have to be this.

To an extent Luffy had already done this. In the opening ELLEGARDEN at 0:50, Luffy bounces onto "our screen" with Gear 5 to launch himself to Saturn.
But like others have said, Usopp and Brook are very likely to make verbal 4th wall breaks since Usopp's lies have the tendency to become true to where it can reach to absurd degrees, and Brook likes making jokes in a manner that often faces himself to us.

Oda could legit make any of them do a fourth wall break just to remind us to not take it too seriously. Even berserk did that. I know a lot of humor gets lost in translation tbh
