I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever heard someone say this. Calca’s only mistake, if you can call it that, was not instantly vying for friendly ties with the Sorcerer Kingdom when they first appeared. Obviously that’s an unreasonable ask though, especially with Ainz being an undead and the politics of her country in general. That she was even somewhat hopeful that Ainz could be a good ruler as an undead was already extremely open minded.

I've said it before but Calca's entire point in the story was basically to hint that if Ainz had gone instead of Demiurge he would have conquered the nation in a day by just asking her to surrender The idea that she could stop losing soldiers to the beastmen along with all of the other benefits would have been too great for her to pass up, and if she refused Ainz would have said "oh well that's too bad, anyway now it's time for me and my 500 deathknight bodyguards to go offer the same exact thing to the beastmen" which would result in her instantly changing her mind

Agreed. The biggest issue that everyone tended to make was slacking on intelligence gathering. Or even having normalized diplomatic relations with other countries. An undead, giant goats, Gazef dead, and during that time there was never an envoy sent to the kingdom or spy's trying to figure out the deal with this undead taking over towns and not killing everyone.

She died mainly cos Suzuki Satoru couldn't be bothered to read Demiurge's notes and didn't have the balls to speak up with his own personal opinions on it. I don't think anyone has ever said she deserves it. Everyone knows it was a scheme hatched by Demiurge for some time and they have no means to beat a level 100 floor guardian. Not even Remedios deserves her fate even if she has a stupid line of thinking.

Not really. When a conspiracy theorist happens to be right, it’s usually not due to sound reasoning but because someone else uncovered the truth through evidence and logic the conspiracy theories was just throwing random guesses.  That’s how Remedios comes off more emotional than analytical. And to be fair, her bitterness is understandable: Ainz Ooal Gown arrives late, and the paladins’ sacrifices don’t seem appreciated by the people they protected. She wants to see what she wants to see it just so happens some of what she saw was there but all that was a presupposition made from being emotional.

Honestly I kinda dislike that she was killed I mean the plan made for the holy kingdom would have literally worked better with her alive cuz I mean half the kingdom was practically in open rebellion solely because the prince didn’t want to rule and now a woman was ruling them and doing a damn good job. Literally they couldn’t find any other fault with her so they literally used the sole fact she was a woman to not aid the kingdom. What better form of chaos is there than that? With demons invading Ainz could have just gone yo I’ll help u then helps all while denouncing the part of the holy kingdom that was doing fuck all to help its own ppl. To be honest they went the less efficient way.

I think Calca Bessarez was just too competent to be left in charge for Demiurge and Nazarick’s plans. Her only real “crime” in their eyes was being capable. If she stayed in power, the Holy Kingdom wouldn’t have been nearly as easy to destabilize or bring under the Ainz Ooal Gown’s influence. That’s also why Remedios Custodio being left alive makes sense. She’s useful. She can act as a scapegoat for the southern nobles, and unlike Calca or Kelart Custodio, she doesn’t have the political sense or support network to actually hold things together. She’s strong, but not someone who can manage a collapsing state. At the same time, a lot of the Sacred Kingdom arc feels like Demiurge intentionally maximizing suffering (gotta love that -500 karma value). That chaos makes people more desperate, which in turn makes Ainz look better when he shows up. The fact that the Holy Kingdom is basically a headless state at that point just makes his intervention seem even more significant, since there’s no real authority left to compete with him.

Well the issue is that it already is destabilised so that argument isn’t really valid because during the sacred kingdom arch it literally explains how HALF of the kingdom is practically rebelling and refusing to aid calca solely because she is a woman.
