For me, it’s the most lore-rich arc in the history of One Piece... Vegapunk delivered revelations we’d been waiting for for years. The pacing might have seemed slow at times, but looking at the arc as a whole, every piece fell into place. The escape was chaotic in just the right way
個人的にはワンピース史上最も設定が詰め込まれた編だと思う…ベガパンクが何年も待ってたネタバラシを連発したからな。展開が遅く感じる時もあったけど、編全体で見れば全てのピースがハマった。脱出劇も最高にカオスで良かった+27

I’ll admit that, following the arc week by week, I had started to feel a certain heaviness. I really enjoyed the beginning, and I also liked the break with volume 107, but after Kuma’s flashback things started to get messy. Giants, Emeth, the Gorosei, the Navy, the CP0—there was a lot going on, and Vegapunk’s message was becoming increasingly unbearable to read on a weekly basis. Rereading Egghead from start to finish with the physical release in my country, I have to say it flows really smoothly. It’s a bit convoluted and uneven in terms of artwork and pacing—especially in the middle section—but overall I have to admit I’m reassessing it more positively.

Exactly! Egghead was clearly written with the full reading experience in mind, not as a weekly serial. Those who followed it in the weekly installments struggled more with the sheer volume than with the content itself

I think most of not all of one piece post time skip is way better with a full read of arcs. Despite the issues I have with wano as a whole the start to finish experience is fucking fantastic. And don't even get me started on the full dressrosa experience on a re read.
ワンピースの2部はほぼ全ての編が一気読みの方が断然面白いと思う。ワノ国編全体には不満もあるけど、最初から最後まで通して読む体験はマジで最高だし。ドレスローザなんて再読した時の一気読み体験は言うまでもない。+1

My only complaint is I wanted Franky to get more of a spotlight but I do understand there was a lot to fit in.

Well, Franky really pushed himself to the limit—first to secure the Sunny, then Vegapunk, then Bonney and Kuma. He clashed with the Seraphim, with Marine vice admirals, against Kizaru, and he even fired a laser at Saturn. I don’t know how much more he could’ve done. Other than that, he did what fans expected—he fangirled over Vegapunk

Yeah but considering how much fangirling he does,the arc didn't feel like his personal drama in any way. But then it's the same for Wano and Zoro.
確かにあのベガパンクへの熱狂ぶりを考えると、この編が彼の個人的なドラマには全然感じられなかったのは事実だな。でもワノ国編でのゾロも同じようなもんだったし。+1

I still cant get used to their outfits but it was cool finally meeting Vegapunk and seeing what the Elders are capable of

I think it’s harder to get used to the mix of futuristic and Hawaiian styles than to the individual outfits.

Well first of all ... The pacing is incredible for this arc... (In manga) The fact that Oda is able to make the wonder and excitement of egghead so appealing is a wonder after the exhaustion of Wano. The lore goes DEEP!! in this arc. I mean the drops that were coming out each week during Vega punk's telecast were insane. And the Kuma backstory hit hard, harder than everything else. It is so beautiful so hauntingly tragic, truly masterful writing. The action is amazing...Luffy vs LUCCI fight will go down in history. Not to mention the small detour we take with Shanks smoking Kid, the Garp vs Kuzan fight, the Teach Law thingy...and the amazing amazing Pangea castle thing with Sabo chef's kiss. It has everything that made water 7 Ennies Lobby good ...(High stakes, good action, heartbreaking emotions) even though not quite on that level . So it's easily top 3 for me...but might get a bit low if Elbaph concludes with a fucking bang...which it might

Elbaph also looks like a top-tier arc so far. If you add that, for me, Dressrosa, Whole Cake Island, and Wano are all top 5 (unpopular opinion, I know), I’d say I’m one of those fans who’s been having an absolute blast after the time skip. I’ve seen a lot of people criticize the narrative quality and the lack of emotional, high-impact moments for the protagonists in the post–time skip era, but to me Oda still hasn’t disappointed. Every arc is a spectacle, and I can’t wait to see the final all-out war.
エルバフも今のところ最高峰の編っぽいしな。それも加えると、個人的にはドレスローザ、ホールケークアイランド、ワノ国が全てトップ5に入る（変な意見だとは思うけど）。つまり俺は2部に入ってから完全にハマりまくってるファンの一人ってことだ。多くの人が2部の物語の質を批判してるのを見るけど、+2

Impressive amount of lore, maybe the most in any arc, great character developments, the Gorosei being shown and directly involved, Imu for the first time taking action in a meaningful way, return of Kizaru, Vegapunk stepping into the scene and being an incredibly likeable character. All in all a fantastic arc.
圧倒的な設定量、おそらくどの編よりも多い。素晴らしいキャラクター成長。五老星が登場して直接関与し、イムが初めて意味のある行動を起こした。キザルウの復帰。ベガパンクの登場と、信じられないほど好感の持てるキャラクター性。全体としてファン+2
