Regardless, web novel Emilia with light novel subaru would have been peak. Cause web novels Subaru was far worse, i think the reason was for him to have an even greater change in arc 3, but really, even web novel subaru wasn't deserving of dying like that, and he was unpleasant to read, so the author probably just adjusted enough to make him with flaws, but still fun to read. He fumbled hard with Emilia though, he is constantly pushing on her innocence for no actual reason, web novel Emilia was just perfect, naive, but not so innocent.

Ofc ofc which is why this felt very odd, a big part of emelia is the fact that in terms of the world's know how's she has had less than a year to catch up and is more innocent than kids on many subject.

That is a Fan Translation. This is the Official Page translation. Yes, she still calls out Subaru's weird dreaming. But yes, there is no mention of Emilia pointing out Subaru's sleeping face in the Novel nor in the web novel. I think this is a manga original.

this is probably based on WN. on WN of arc 1 Emilia was smarter and knew what sex was. on the WN she even faked crying at arc 2 when Subaru was asking for his reward for saving her. She fake cried thinking Subaru would ask about sexual services after saving her. On LN Tappei downgraded her and she didn't know how babies were made. All of those traits that she knew what sex are were removed from LN and anime. It now only exists in the draft that is the WN and on arc 1 of the manga, on all other arcs she doesn't show those behaviours anymore
