Funny episode, while not all fun as expected thankfully not as dark as previous supposed to be breather episode lol. Mummymon have quite a rough life, being abandoned and ended up being bounty, but at least to Nirinsou you go. While it's all played for laugh, it's interesting to see the GD team love lamguage so clearly and the relation of the digimon. For Tomoro it's food, that's why Gekkomon is a glutton. Kinda funny he's still hang up from the microwave egg and insist on doing eggs all the way. For Reina it's gift, I guess that's why Pristimon seems to want things not really needed as she doesn't really drink the tea, just wanted it for the fragrance. And seems like Reina have some savings to buy those boxes in the first place, good it could get returned lol. For Makoto is just to have someone besides him, that's why Chiropmon is so calm and doesn't speak much because his presence is what Makoto need. But so much demand presence does makes him looks like a yandere while the others are just like overly doting parents lol. For Kyo it's care and comfort, that's why Cougarmon is so caring too by his last statement of go play with his fur from times to times. Love that he actually double down and say those felt dolls are cute and he does like it lol. Now I wonder who drains the finance more, Gekkomon or Pristimon.

The beginning part with Hitomi and Tomoro was so awkward and embarrassing!! But holy crap the episode became very eerie quickly... Somehow Cougarmon got the worst of it. Those Needle Felt Dolls of "Cougarmon" were so creepy!! I feel sorry for Mummymon. They learned the wrong way to love because their owner abandoned them. Overall, this was probably the most silly and "happier" of the fillers this show has had so far. It's nice to have a wacky episode, especially since we're about to enter a new arc next week!

Incredible. Just this week I was thinking that if I had any real complaint about BEATBREAK’s writing, it was that the partners weren’t being given much characterization. That’s common for Digimon series, where they’re usually just extensions or sounding boards for their partners, but I had hoped for more in this season. Sure enough, PEAK-BREAK delivers 48 hours later. It was really nice seeing them get the spotlight for a second. Cougarmon was a standout surprise.

Thoughts: Hitomi wasn't featured as much as everyone expected because the episode teaser silhouette showed her and Mummymon together. This episode was super hilarious though, especially Cougarmon and Kyo's parts. This is probably one of the few times that I've seen him fight. In most episodes, he often digivolves to Murasaemon. We also got our first anime appearance of Ghostmon and it's been reconned now to be a rookie level of Mummymon. I have a soft spot for Mummymon as he provided most of the funny moments in 02 and him wanting a lot of 'love' in this EP, reminded me of the time he was madly in love with Arukenimon. Next episode is the start of the new arc The Gift. The preview looks pretty promising, we got our first look at the girl that was featured heavily in promo pics and the ED theme. She's thankfully alive and well. I think she will be psychic somehow.

Mummymon literally having trauma from love either as a sufferer or a bad break up is all too real, when he sees actual care he instantly folds and it's amazing. The feeling of love he wanted is probably the last few months he had with his partner too which is fucked up. The way they babied the partners is telling, Tomoro and his autism can have all the world's issues with social stuff but basic satiety of a good meal is probably the only time he truly feels good outside of the closest moments even if he's a little dopamine lacking too because that's a base feeling one that has been inherited overtly so it is telling just how much it matters. Reina sees money as no object and will go as far as possible for luxury, given they were scrappy go getter and trying to find a name for themselves it's easy to see that this is their wanted longterm goal especially as the one that whines over expenses the most AND one that seemed happiest when they were rich. Makoto finally shows me a partner that truly just does want their digimon with them, social, honest, direct, speaking to his young age maybe with how first loves go and that raw obsession it too is very accurate and human for the character, still sorta fish out of water he has his partner anywhere he goes and it's probably what keeps him from being a scared kid because he is surprisingly young. Kyo's is sad, that guy ALWAYS goes so hard even in the little time we've known him he ends up bedridden, especially those years with the baby farm alone, the entire time cougarmon is right there practically on top of them in their weakest most vulnerable literal sometimes almost deathbed moments, imagine what they ran into and did as a 5star and how connected he is to family. Weird but funny episode. Kinda wish Hitomi got more screen time considering they advertised her being the focus of this episode but outside of that first scene she was more used as set up then anything. I feel a bit ripped off lol. The mummymon shenanigans were funny. It was interesting seeing Glowing Dawn's bonds with their Digimon become warped. Kyo was the funniest but honestly Makoto was the creepiest surprisingly. I felt bad for how uncomfortable Chiropmon was getting. It was also kind of nice seeing the Digimon themselves take charge with their Tamers out of commission, though they understandably could not do much against mummymon. But a couple of headbutts and one sad backstory later, things turn out alright. This was probably my second favorite episode of this Interlude arc, with the Haruomi episode in first place (not that anyone is surprised). But with that out of the way its time for the main course: THE GIFT ARC. I am really excited to see what the heck its about! Cant wait for next week.

This is kind of wholesome and creepy episode at the same time. I think this episode shows the hidden sides of their personalities Tomoro is basically emulating Asuka, acting like a big brother figure to Gekkomon. I'm not sure why it is always egg he cooks, maybe because anything Asuka makes, even just a simple egg, made Tomoro happy. Reina, being the most conservative in the group, keeps holding herself back from buying things she actually likes, which says a lot about her self-control. Makoto, who was exiled, clearly doesn’t want to feel alone again, so he wants Chiropmon to always stay by his side for comfort. As for Kyo, I’m not entirely sure. He likes tending on Courgermon and finds it comforting. It feels like Kyo just genuinely likes animals, and that’s why he cares about the Digimon, that he even shelters and provides for them. As

So what was suppose to be a Hitomi episode, she got completing back seated, what the hell? Though they did open the door for Mummymon / Ghostmon to be her partner someday. Still this is the most filler of the 3 episodes of this prologue arc, we added a Digimon to Kyo orphanage, but other than that, what was accomplish? The first episode we lost the money, the episode after tied up some loose ends. But I am excited for next week.

Okay, this episode was creepy and hilarious. It shows how the protags express affection. Tomoro is the good ol' love goes through the stomach. Reina is all about giving gifts. Makoto is... intense exposure? Kyo is small, personal affections. Poor Ghostmon/Mummymon. If a lover want's you to get rid of a loved friend, they are not the right one for you. Hope he finds a loving partner in the future. The Cougarmon felt plush are so incredible. Kyo really is a goober. Next week the GIFT Arc finally starts. Let's see how it starts and how long it takes to go south for our heroes.

A funny episode on the surface, but I actually think we got some tiny hints into some...I dunno..secrets, deep-seated desires based from their pasts? Maybe I'm grasping at straws, but it was a little hard to ignore....? XD (This week's episode was written by Kobayashi Kiriko in her debut as a scriptwriter--from the sounds of it, Beatbreak is her major project debut) Kyo being obsessed with never leaving Cougarmon's side and wanting to go as far as sniff him and make felt copies made me wonder if the root of that is in his past life on the streets where all he had was Cougarmon. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd bury himself in their fur when they were roughing it on the streets. Cougarmon clearly is a source of calm and comfort for him. Reina's obsession with money/gifting to the point of insisting joyfully she take out a loan (or at least borrow from *someone*) made me wonder if during her childhood that's how her parents were--did they shower her with gifts bought on loaned money? Could debt be the reason they abandoned her? Could financial instability have plagued her childhood after Pristimon was born and during the period she was bounced between Cleaner teams until she met Kyo? Makoto: I know Chiropmon's the first to have asked if fighting was the secret to closer bonds,,,but what if Makoto's obsession with proving his love through "fighting" be related to his family life and why he willingly left that behind? Tomoro: This feels like the easiest. He cooked eggs properly, and wants to show his love through making a meal for someone who he cares about. Asuka fits this, yet as far as we know it was only Asuka who ever cooked for them after their parents' arrests. Either way. A crazy episode that didn't let up. It was fun seeing the Digimon try to work together to stay away from their Owners. (Cougarmon gave very Tired Adult vibes) Kyo sticking to his guns and saying he liked those felted dolls of Cougarmon he made, but had made too many hahahaha. Next week lo
